Nuclear power is one of the cleanest safest forms of power generation an I am honored to have such a great project in my home state. I hope one day that more nuclear plants are built across the US as to reduce dependence on coal and other fossil fuels. Good jobs and keep that reactor trucking!
Great contractor & work environment.. started working at STP (south Texas project) around 1983 as craftsman just after contractor Brown & root was terminated due to Incompetence. Ebasco services took over Construction And finish job on time on budget.. Best work schedule I've ever had Work schedule was called Rolling 4-10s 4 days on 4 day's off. Mon-Thur. off Fri-Mon and so no
I'm quite sure that the reactor design already includes a sufficient amount of safety features but my main concern is the nuclear waste that's produced after the spent fuel rods are removed from the reactor core itself.
Surely they can take all of that somewhere to be recycled, then eventually reused.

I was working there at one time when construction was being done it's an experience like none other that is my experience that I have by being at the nuclear power plant STP nuclear thank you for giving me that opportunity.
My Father Wesley P. Niemeyer worked here before he passed away in March 2011. He absolutely loved working at the South Texas Project. Good people make a good company.
Brown &&root was kicked off that job because they didn't know what they were doing so I'm am an old iron worker and I really enjoyed tearing out what BROWN & ROOT had tried and couldn't!!!!!! Long story short in 1983 union took it over and wallah, texas has one the best facility,s I've had the privilege of working on!!!!!!
I worked here before doing IT. A very nice place with great people. Would love to go back if I wasn t from the city and so far. Safe and amazing folks!!! Met great people here that I communicate with still today.
Did a couple of cleaning jobs and cal busters this is a safe place very safe I would do it again in a heart beat.
Very dedicated efficient and safe. Always up to date with safety concerns. They are working hard to keep the area informed. Great confidence in the job they do for Texas!
