StoneWater Golf Club Review

Beautiful course. Not for the novice golfer.there is a lot of water and a lot of traps that make it quite interesting. Quite a few tight shots trying to make it to the green on slot of holes. Course was well maintained and not crowded for a Tuesday afternoon.

Lovely evening on the patio...good service ..yummy food.

Went by to try out the igloo dining. Was not disappointed. Igloo was nice and toasty for a January night. Food was good, will be retuning.

We had our wedding reception at Stonewater in September and it was fabulous! Whitney is a top notch professional who helped us every step of the way and went above and beyond to make our day special. The reception was better than I could have dreamed of - beautiful decor, delicious food, awesome bar package. They were very clear about COVID precautions but still created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. If you are thinking about booking an event here, just do it!

Played this course on Oct 19th 2019. Great track with some holes being long from the Gold Tees. 5 holes over 425 and 2 par 5s over 570. Par3 at 185 and 210.Awesome. Not to mention the scenerie and the clubhouse. Great course at 50.00 if they would keep it at the price instead of 85.00.

Great staff and course! I am a volunteere for a charity and an outing was held at Stonewater. It was a glorious fun filled day and can't wait for this year's event. Course looked great and I wished I was playing it.

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I were at the Rustic Grill for dinner. We decided to try the "new place" at Stonewater. WOW! Great service, great food, great ambiance, great prices. Everything we saw being served looked awesome, so we will certainly be back to enjoy selections on the menu! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I wanted to speak with a manager simply to share what a nice dining experience we had, and the owner came over to introduce herself. I could tell right away, this young lady has integrity. She has a fantastic thing going here! We are so glad to add this place to our local "go to" list. We look forward to coming back!

Great club that has recently renovated their meeting space- it looks awesome. Nice food specials and a solid kitchen staff. Good selection of booze and draft beer.

Went to play golf today with my husband. First we were rushed and forced to start on the back half of the course. Then once we finished out first 9 holes we stopped at the club to use the bathroom only to come out and have our cart taken away from us!! They didn t ask they just removed our items and proceeded to tell us that they re really busy today, and they needed more carts because they were falling behind. I just couldn t t believe we were kicked out of the carts half way through our 18 holes. All the clubs and courses I ve been too; this has never happened to me! Won t be back here... I see how certain people are treated.

Simply one of the best teachers in the area! He adjusted my swing in 3 lessons, kept the process simple, easy to repeat and is incredibly knowledgeable of the golf swing and all of its variations. I would highly recommend him. If your a beginner learning the game, or a low handicap player looking to sharpen up he is your guy.

The atmosphere is beautiful. The food was ok of what we got. Was there for a class reunion and was disappointed they took the food down so early and that the food tables were not kept full. There could have been more chairs to sit on.
The patio was pretty.

This is our usual Friday night dinner out location. Beautiful patio, servers are great, menu changes about each season / and they have some very tasty, creative dishes.

Great track! True greens and well maintained fairways. I didn t hit driver very much but it was because of trouble at my driver distance.

Very nice, PGA Tour-caliber golf course (not for the faint of heart) and excellently maintained. The Rustic Grill also offers very delicious mid/post round food and drinks, and their venue hall is one of the nicest in the suburban Cleveland area. My wife loved having her bridal shower here, and we d both recommend it for any occasion you might have to celebrate

Very good food and atmosphere.
Only thing is the trout dinner 2 pieces should be served on a bed of rice and not on a bed of mushrooms.and a salad would be nice.for the 25.00 price.

The second meal was great had the pasta with shrimp and mussels in a tomato sauce.also came with bread.
For 18.00

Course was very well maintain and everyone was most accomodating.

We had our reception at The Venue at Stonewater in August. Whitney and her staff were absolutely INCREDIBLE! Throughout the pandemic I was so anxious about whether we'd have our big day. Thank goodness, everything went perfectly. - Whitney made our big day everything we could have imagined regardless of the crazy stress going on in 2020. Even throughout the night, Whitney had everything under control and I never had to worry about anything, but enjoying my wedding. Stonewater was worth every penny and time planning. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue is and how AMAZING the food was. My husband and I can't wait to make annual anniversary trips to the Rustic Grill and relive our big day with their skirt steak! I cannot say enough great things about this place. We returned the next morning to get all of our decor and we couldn't thank Whitney enough! 5/5 stars is not enough.

A very nice venue. I understand it was recently renovated. The owners did a great job making the place feel new and old at the same time. I was at a brunch so I didn't play golf there. I have no concept of what golf even is but this seemed like a place where people enjoy playing golf.

What's not to love? The renovation is stunning, the new Rustic Grill is awesome and the staff always has a smile.

Always a great meal here with a very friendly staff. Definitely stop in for a beer and a bite if you're in the neighborhood.

I have played this course many times over the years by calling to book a tee time or by going on GolfNow to book. It is a great track! Recently, I went on a Monday evening, like I had many times before, to get some putting and chipping practice in. Upon setting my bag down by the putting green I was asked if I was a member and I responded no. I was then told that I could not use their practice facility because I was not a member. The starter and pro told me that this is a semi-private facility and that was not allowed. I don't understand how you can be private when it is convenient for you and public when it is convenient for you, especially when I was not costing them any money nor have I ever been approached by anyone before. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the course nor the restaurant again. It was a very undermining feeling that I felt was undeserving.

Great Club sandwich ... server was exceptionally nice too! Good lunch altogether.

We had our wedding here, both ceremony and reception. Whitney was very well organized and it was gorgeous. Everyone had fun, the drinks were on point, the food was phenomenal... We had tons of compliments on our food!! Def would recommend for a venue for any event

I just had dinner at their grill for the first time. Not only was the atmosphere really nice, but my meal was amazing! I am so glad I found this hidden gem :)

Good course. Old starter annoys you the moment you get out of your car. Cart boys annoy you when you leave.

Dinner at Rustic Grill always good. Sit on patio even in winter...live music sometimes

It was Very Nice, Serene, & Peaceful there! The Food was Delicious that I ordered and Not that Expensive! My Wife was at the NAACP Affair they Had There. People were Friendly.

Enjoyed the tour of the venue. Expensive but worth it if you got the dough.

Greens were fast and true, had a very rough outing but the course was well maintained. Staff could use improvement.

Challenges the most avid golfer. Food at the Rustic Grill is absolutely great and they have daily specials too...get the burger...it's fantastic. Great staff.

Stonewater golf club is a joke. Several members of my golfing group joined as full members this year and have had a terrible experience. They value public play much more then giving their members a good experience. All they care about is taking your money. The course was in terrible shape all year. Greens were fast at first but died in mid summer because of poor maintenance. Same with the fairways, all burnt out and dead mid summer. Poor course maintenance, and range management was even worse. Hitting off of sand covered grass all year does not count as a range. We feel as if members get no value. Most of the weekdays are blocked off because of outings and public play. Stonewater golf club has no business calling itself anything but a average public course unless something dramatically changes.

Beautiful place only there for a couple of hours but I enjoyed it.

Dissappointed. The starter was arrogant and pompous, but I'm sure he ran a tight ship when he was in the Gestapo. He kept telling us we couldn't put, chip or use the driving range be cause of covid rules, then lectured us that we could use the same cart, even though my playing partner was higher risk, then said" I'd stay home if I were high risk", even though we WAS HIGH RISK because he was in his 70s. The pace was good, the greens were on the slow side, course conditions had too many weeds for a Country Club and there were some burnt out spots on the greens. The rangers were professional but overall it was a disappointment. The other course, Little Mountain has been first class all year and in great shape. We'll try again next year and hopefully Da Fuhror will have the day off or move on.

Great course great service. However the people who golf here and live around it are the worst people on planet earth.

Caught a deal on greens fees and played, made it tougher on must than the course should have been. Stay out of the rough to give yourself a chance at a good score.

From pork belly steam buns and mini grilled cheeses with caramelized onions for appetizers, to beef short ribs, chicken piccata and lobster ravioli for dinner, this kitchen is out of this world. We loved the food so much that we ate at the restaurant once a month before the wedding and still continue to go back! Awesome food at the grill. Great range and practice facility. Fast greens when they want them to be fast.

A little disappointing. Used to be a lot better about 10 years ago. Now the food comes out cold. They have an appetizer that should be served with something to spread it on, but it just comes on a big empty plate. Still enjoy the atmosphere, views, and the food at least taste good.
