Our move was exhausting after emptying a house that we lived in for 48 years. It took us more than a month to unpack.

Now that we finally have a chance to look around, the grounds at Stoneridge Creek are beautiful, the facilities are attractive, the neighbors are friendly, the food is delicious, and the staff is most helpful. In particular, we dealt with Dave Kamalman. He and other staff members worked very hard in getting us what we needed for taking up residence in this gorgeous place.

Stoneridge Creek is a wonderful retirement community. It is now open for outdoor dining, along with the use of the pool, gym, and pickleball and bocce courts. There are numerous outdoor activities that are planned, as well as many lectures and functions on Zoom for residents to enjoy. The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly and helpful. Be sure to give Mary in Marketing a call and she will take you on a virtual tour of this lovely facility.

I've been a monthly enrichment speaker at this facility for about 6 years. The site is one of the best of 15 that I speak at. The theater is first class with super audio/video. The residents are highly educated and very accommodating. The staff is a joy to work with.

I retired in November 2018 and have been living in one of the apartment units at Stoneridge Creek. I am impressed with the Management Team in how they sincerely care about the personal safety and health of the residents. This is something that is priceless and for which we cannot assign a dollar amount.

We moved in when Stoneridge Creek first opened and have enjoyed it ever since. We have a first-class physical facility, a safe environment, and lots of appropriate and enjoyable activities. But the thing that most residents say is the outstanding virtue of Stoneridge Creek is the collection of extraordinary people here. Residents, management, and staff members are friendly and helpful. This has been especially important during the COVID pandemic. We have enjoyed making hundreds of new friends and then learning of their amazing backgrounds and accomplishments.

My wife and I moved into Stoneridge Creek in late 2014. We (well, initially mostly me) knew that a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) was where we wanted to spend the rest of our lives. What needed to be determined was where and which one. We embarked upon a low-level search for about 10 years, looking at communities in Oregon, Arizona and California, mostly California because we lived in Carmel Valley during this period. We visited about 10 CCRC Communities, spending an overnight or two at 5. We discovered that marketing is very happy to comp overnights because it allows you to get the feel of a community, and sample their food offerings. A few communities were easy to scratch off our list because of location, campus age and other criteria that will be different for every interested party. We settled on Stoneridge Creek because of a couple who had moved into a sister community and another couple who had moved into Stoneridge Creek. We were able to spend a few nights, over time, with our Stoneridge Creek friends to really get the feel of the community and the surrounding area. We were sold (even my wife) and moved into a Garden Terrace unit about one year after our friends moved in. We have not been disappointed. It has more than met our expectations and we would highly recommend anyone contemplating a CCRC to include Stoneridge Creek on their evaluation list.

We highly recommend Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community. There is a variety of residence types and the landscaping design and maintenance are great. The residents and staff are interesting and friendly and the food exceeds our expectations. The activities are exceptional. We looked at 10 CCRC's before deciding on Stoneridge Creek and are certain we made the right decision.

Stoneridge Creek has many positive aspects beauti...

Stoneridge Creek has many positive aspects beautiful facilities, very friendly approachable staff, and a great activities calendar. I don t need to go into detail, since those things are covered in the positive reviews.

Potential residents considering Stoneridge should be aware of the limitations that will affect them.

There are shuttles available for transport to and from the airport, but they don t operate on the weekends, and they only operate from 8:00am -5:00pm M-F. That means that if you need to catch a flight that leaves at 8:00am, or your flight lands at 6:00pm, you will need to pay/arrange your own transportation.

Also, now that Stoneridge has finished its 2nd phase construction, there are about 800 residents and therefore seating in the Clubhouse dining room and in the Grill is very crowded, so many times you must wait or eat later. l am sure the staff point out the new buffet style cafe on the tour, but it does little to relieve the pressure on the other dining venues, since it is only open certain hours 3 days a week, not on the weekends.

A major concern is the lack of reliable connectivity for cellular service. Ever since the new phase of buildings opened, it is very difficult to get a signal to use your cell phone. Whether you use wifi or cell tower, you often get no signal at all. This affects the residents ability to call their doctor to get medical advice or schedule appointments. This means often times residents cannot call family members. lf there should be an emergency that affects multiple residents simultaneously, use of your personal cell phone as a backup to call for help may not be an option. Residents have repeatedly told the staff about this issue, but no action has been taken. l believe there isn t enough bandwidth to cover all the extra cell phone use, and corporate headquarters does not want to spend money on this minor issue which doesn t affect them.

If you are not tech savvy, and have difficulty navigating the internet, installing upgrades, understanding new interfaces on your computer, can t get your printer configured, or have trouble setting up the Stoneridge portal, there is basically no tech support to assist you. There is one person on staff to address tech hardware problems, but there is no staff to teach computer classes or to help troubleshoot user problems. There used to be a resident who generously offered her own time to help seniors with their computers, but Stoneridge took over the room she was using and forced her out, giving her no alternative space.

One last thing to consider is that of finances and the security of the residents future. This is a for-profit CCRC. Thus, corporate wants to increase profits for its investors. This means residents can expect anywhere from a 3% to 4% increase in rent every 2 to 3 years. Residents already put down a massive deposit, plus pay upwards of $500,000 to buy into Stoneridge Creek. Increases in monthly rent over time could very possibly bankrupt the resident, and then Stoneridge goes into that 500k fee until it s gone. If you are left with no money, there is NO GUARANTEE that Stoneridge will not evict you! When corporate leaders at Stoneridge were given this scenario, they refused to tell what would happen to any elderly resident in this situation! ln other words, they would not guarantee that a bankrupt elderly resident would not be kicked out! They carefully bet that your net worth will outlive you, but with the regular rent increases there is a possibility you will run out of money and face eviction. There is nothing in the residents contract that addresses this issue. lt is very important to consider this factor before deciding to live out your years at Stoneridge Creek.

It s mid-March and I am so thrilled that much of our life here at SRC is opening up again! Dining venues are almost all open, fitness is having a soft reopening, billiards are coming back and even the Movie Theater is opening next week! Yay!
I am so pleased at how well the management here has safely protected us over the part year with only 2 Covid cases among residents. And now we have Herd Immunity since the residents are 99% vaccinated and the staff is 85% vaccinated! Life is almost back to normal and this year has reinforced my great decision to move here almost 5 years ago.
I am so happy that I live at Stoneridge Creek!

Just got back from a visit with a friend who lives there. We had no problems at the gate; just give them your name and who you are visiting, and they will open the gate. The place is about three years old now and the final phase is being built. And the place is sold out for good reasons.
The grounds are gorgeously designed with ponds and gazebo, the club house is the center for many activities (library, cinema, pool, gym, dining, etc) and tastefully put together, the service in the dining room was impeccable, and the dining room food was first rate. We've been to a dozen and a half retirement facilities in the bay area, and so far Stoneridge Creek may be the best of the lot.

The fly in the ointment may be Creekview, the on-campus assisted living and skill nursing facility, which has mixed reviews at best.

Living here, you won t have one dull moment. I give credit to the management here, everything they plan, they provide, they do are for the best of the residents. Food is healthy, exercise classes meet people in different needs and at different levels, activities are fun, educational and informative. It s such a wonderful place to live and to spend the rest of my life.

I have worked in the Senior housing industry for 11 years and the last 3 1/2 with Stoneridge Creek. I am very proud of the beautiful community, the management of the community, and the residents that live at Stoneridge Creek. The residents have much opportunity to thrive intellectually, socially and physically with everything going on in the 50 acre property.

I have the privilege of working at Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community and I love it! I feel like my work has meaning and I have many opportunities for growth. Not to mention we are encouraged to have fun and build camaraderie with one another. We often think of great places to work as what the perks and benefits are, but that is only part of the story. At Stoneridge Creek, we stand for helping others, and we have many opportunities and incentives to learn , develop and grow. I feel we have a great service and I am proud to add value to this community. As a side benefit, management and residents here are wonderful to work for and work with.

Life at Stoneridge Creek is looking up. Almost all (more than 98 %) of our residents have had both Covid 19 vaccinations. The management and the residents have done a great job of containing the virus here until now only 2 of our more than 800 residents got it and both recovered quickly and fully. Still there have been a lot of restrictions to keep us healthy and life is just on the cusp of getting back to normal.
While we are maintaining all of the precautions that have kept us safe like masking, social distancing and good sanitation practices, these vaccinations have made us much safer and we are beginning to open up. Our meal service is now open to small groups for dining outside and inside by reservation only; our exercise programs including swimming are coming back with restrictions. One of my favorite activities, excursions to natural and cultural destinations, are still curtailed but I am looking forward to getting those back.
This isn t going to happen all at once but we are on course to begin to get dining and activities back to normal over the next few months. We can feel the improved optimism throughout our residents.

My husband John and I love it here! Moving to Stoneridge Creek two and a half years ago was one of our best decisions. The atmosphere provided by the beautiful grounds and well built facilities gives us a sense of pleasure whenever we leave our home. There are wonderful trails to walk within the grounds and going into the clubhouse and restaurants is a treat. Everything we see is first class and well maintained. The many activities provided to us has been a huge treat. There are numerous clubs, classes, excursions and on site entertainment. The quality of the instruction and entertainment is outstanding. There is something for everyone's interest. We have taken up new hobbies and sports here that we never imagined we'd have an interest in! The amenities include three restaurants with a variety of food choices, two swimming pools, a dedicated fitness studio and a gymnasium for the various classes. There seems to be activity going on wherever one goes. Lastly, the staff as well as the residents are wonderful. Every one of the staff members seems to enjoy their jobs and they go out of their way to meet our needs, large and small. Obviously this comes from the top down, and we see that all staff are treated with compassion and respect. Our fellow residents have been a delight to get to know. They have been welcoming and inclusive in getting us involved. Again, we are delighted to be living here at Stoneridge Creek.

Living in NC, I don't know anyone who has lived here so I can't speak to the residential living or care on a personal level. However, I've visited a couple of times as part of my career at myLifeSite. I am highly impressed with the staff and the way the organization is managed/operated.

There are many many reasons people choose Stoneridge Creek as a great place to enjoy senior living. A brief review of numerous Yelp ratings will provide most all of them.

At 76, our priority was to continue life in the East Bay where we had lived for more that 40 years. We focused on SRC because our family does not live nearby, and we wanted the comfort of knowing our health and living needs would be met by assisted living or nursing care all on the same campus.

We moved in May 1019 under the guidance of Mary Repine. The process could not have been better, and we continually reflect on the wisdom of making this choice earlier than many. On arrival my wife experienced hip pain and ended up having both hips replaced. Walkers, transport chairs and canes were all provided. Her recovery was greatly enhanced by the availability of physical therapists at Creekside who came to our apartment for PT. She was able to use the pools to water walk and speed her return to health. The nursing staff on site came to us to change dressings and check to be sure all was going well.

We love the architectural beauty of the campus and all the landscaping touches that make us feel like we might be living in Italy in an Italian Villa. We enjoy visiting wineries and there are more than 70 nearby. Pleasanton has great parks and open spaces with wonderful bike trails that wind through the vineyards.

We could go on but suffice to say we are grateful each day for the privilege of living in such a wonderful place.

Here's my update!

Here's my update!
Oh, my goodness--we are so lucky to be living in this beautiful community! We have 52 acres to walk around in the fresh air, and plenty of zoom lectures, fitness, and entertainment to keep us occupied. I've been enjoying daily online bridge with my friends--beside being such a good mind-stimulator, we can talk and laugh as we play. The food (delivered or pick-up) continues to be outstanding, with a wide variety of selections. The vaccine has already been administered to Creekview, our assisted living/skilled nursing/memory care facility on the property.
New people are being welcomed and are excited to join our community.

This has been the best place to live during this pandemic! They have continued to provide excellent take-out or delivered meals, and they have been opening up several more dining venues as allowed. They keep us entertained, fit, and informed by way of zoom. I am so thankful to be in such a safe and comfortable place!

My father moved in just about 6 months ago. Stoneridge Creek has everything adult children could think of for their parents! They've got all the major needs ( apartment, appliances, trips to grocery store, food service, EMS-certified Safety Officers staffed 24/7) and many finer details (linen laundry service, roll-away beds available for visiting relatives, name tags for each resident). Overall, SRC is a high-quality place to live.

My dad is a widower, and he was used to being by himself before moving to SRC. Now, I see him make friends, get meals with other residents, and blossom in the social activities. It makes me happy to see him so comfortable and well cared-for at SRC.

The campus offers a very active senior living community: sports, dancing, woodworking, quilting, crafts, gardening, and much more. All of these classes / services are included with the monthly bill, no surcharges (unless you get extra meals.) The dining staff are wonderfully friendly. The menu offers sophisticated dishes and comfort foods alike, each at senior-friendly portions. Special dietary needs are not a problem, as the chefs have special options such as gluten-free, low or no salt, dairy-free, and vegetarian. (Tip for if you visit and eat there: if you finish your water/beverage you will need to ask for a refill. The servers are awesome, but do not refill drinks automatically as servers in a restaurant do.)

An added plus is the Excursions: outings to local events / attractions. Granted, Excursions are for a fee, but, SRC takes care of all transportation and planning. Examples include live theater productions, orchestra concerts, and factory tours.

The campus grounds are beautifully kept by a diligent maintenance staff. Every employee I have met there has a friendly smile and have provided great service. In every department, SRC gets my 5 star rating.

We moved here in August 2020. (Yes, moved in during the pandemic!) We've had a deep sense of peace and relaxation since we arrived. Best place we can imagine - great neighbors, fantastic staff, wonderful food and the grounds are beautiful! We feel very safe here during Covid!

With the help of Mary R., our super marketing rep, we have found our next home and moved in at the end of August!! We love everything about SRC! The residents we have met are fantastic and very welcoming! The staff is awesome! Moving during the pandemic had its challenges, but we were helped each step of the way! There are so many things to do here- exercise classes, swimming, gardening, bocce and pickle ball, etc... My husband loves the woodworking shop! As a couple that has enjoyed many cruises over the years, the analogy that this is like a cruise that never leaves port is perfect! We are looking forward to this next part of our lives!

From start to finish, Stoneridge Creek is a top notch community with the most helpful staff in Marketing and Move-in all the way to amazing staff in dining and safety. Worth it if you can and highly recommend SRC!
