I'm going to be upfront. I live in Utah and have never visited this church. However, I've been listening to messages from Chuck Swindoll for years now and he teaches with passion.

While I can't attest to "quality music" or friendliness of the congregants or anything of the sort that comes with visiting for myself, what I can attest to is that this church preaches the true gospel. The gospel is the most important aspect of our faith. Without having that right, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

This church, as according to it's stated beliefs, teaches eternal life is offered only by grace, and given only through our faith/belief alone in Christ, His message, and His finished work, apart from any of our works either before or after salvation. A person is eternally secure the moment they choose to believe. If a church doesn't have this right, they don't have anything right.

While I've never visited to attest to anything else, I can say with absolute certainty, they have the gospel right, and I say if you're nearby, give it a try. I hope to be able to visit one day.

Thanks Stonebriar Community Church and Insight for Living for being a beacon of light in this very dark world.

It's a great church and the negative reviews seem to be whiny people who confuse the church for roadside assistance. Obviously if you go to a big church you should expect to go to a small group as well to connect with people in addition to the service.

Wow...what an amazing worship experience!!! I am in awe...such a wonderful Pastor the best in Texas from my experience. If you want truth...the infallibility word of God...you don't want to miss out on the teachings. I even watch videos in my downtime at work and they have blessed my life. I am still a work in process and it is reshaping by perspective on what it means to be Holy and blameless. I want to be more like Christ.

Can't really learn all about such a large group in one visit, but, Chuck Swindoll is completely solid in his theology. He gave an excellent message as usual.

The service is traditional, but not restrained. That is, the auditorium has a huge organ, but they had a variety of happenings. (It is too traditional for me, though.)

The facility is huge and very nice. All the helping volunteers were Christ-honoring (true servants), got directions well (despite the labyrinth of connected buildings), and got coffee easily.

Need to get there early for parking sake and have time afterward to get to your car and away.

Looks like there is lot to do if you want to settle in here and I would recommend it.

If you look at the reviews, majority of them go here because of good programs (Children, Choir, great preaching, mens/woman ministry, etc). Many mega churches attract crowds with these "programs" to get you in, contribute ($$) and stay in forever. Churches will involve folks and their families in ministries, choir, etc who contribute ($$) the most. They operate like any other business offering Church services to those $$$ membership. If you notice, these mega Churches all look alike (nothing but represents cultural Christianity), exactly opposite to what original Church was built (based on suffering and need of Christ) on and what Bible talks about. Christianity is not about programs or making Sunday Christians, it is about fellowship, get that personal connection with God, Pastor & folks there to encourage you for spiritual growth, meal together, share & support one another in both good and bad times throughout the week, etc.

Could you hack getting USDA Prime Filet Mignon ste...

Could you hack getting USDA Prime Filet Mignon steaks dished out regularly? That s what this place is like, but in a spiritual Way! Master communicator, Chuck Swindoll, delivers the best kind of groceries to the hungry and to the thirsty with excellence. He does this to bless, to nourish, to strengthen and to encourage his hearers, but he also does this with others in mind! Chuck does this primarily to glorify God!

Are you ready for all the counsels of God? The Bible says, Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (2 Tim. 4:2). That s what happens here! Stonebriar is about putting the Jesus of the Bible first preeminent in all things. This is a church with an unwavering commitment to Essential Christian Doctrine and the practical clear communication and application of God s Word! Stonebriar Community Church (stonebriar[dot]org) is about worshiping Jesus Christ in Spirit and in truth as an ongoing seven-day-a-week lifestyle of practical righteousness ..and prioritizing this before serving him horizontally in helping people, though that is also very important to take part in. It s about untiring expositional verse by verse Bible teaching with a deep devotion to seeing lives transformed by God s grace as the people wisely apply what they are hearing.

This is a grace-church that doesn t abuse Gods free grace. Of course abuse is an over used term today America has way too many victims pointing the finger of blame and accusation. But many wayward, wandering and spiritually abused individuals have found their way to Stonebriar for full restoration in Christ. Jesus alone is the Answer here! Hey, this is not some celebrity driven personality cult of sorts. This is one of the soundest local Christian churches in the Dallas Metroplex area and in the nation! It is totally worth a long drive (or a short one) to get there and we all know that Texans can handle the commute. We ve seen them come in from Waco or Tyler weekly.

The pickup truck driving pastor, author, Insight for Living (insight[dot]org) radio teacher, Dr. Chuck Swindoll, has been a good example for thousands young and old ..far beyond his Texas boarders and he has devoted more than four decades to winning people and then equipping them for humble Christian service worldwide. Sure he pushes the envelope with his infectious joy, jokes and laughter in a non-religious way (especially when asked about his sis, Luci Swindoll, who also gladly returns the favor tastefully), but he is consistently appropriate in every situation and gives the glory to God. Chuck is a non-greedy caring man of the Word that enthusiastically follows and proclaims Jesus Christ instead of himself. Please do not visit or pass through Texas without stopping by Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco some 30 minutes north of downtown Dallas!

God will change you, meet your needs and you will grow. @kurtwvs

Pastor Chuck Swindoll has a grandson who is special needs and the spirit of the church follows his heart.
