Great living accommodations for incoming freshmen. The price is reasonable and the space is huge. The only thing I would change is not giving freshgames the option of having their own room because it robs them of a lot of activities, as in the case of my son. He was isolated and alone pretty much the entire year that he left here.

I used to live here during the Fall semester of 2013. When I first moved in as an exchange student from Germany, I was lucky to have my own apartment. I lived here for four months. The train was very loud, but I got used to it after several weeks. I was prepared before moving in. I brought my own Wifi cable and toilet paper. But I couldn't bring other items like plates, dishes, vacuum...You know, I traveled by plane Luckily I had a Texan roommate. She was very kind. I shared all the essentials with her. I'm so thankful Nowadays, I noticed there's a lot traffic and more population of students in San Marcos, so new apartments were build everywhere with new standards. I can say I had my best time at Bobcat Village. The staff was also very kind. Greetings from Germany

Lived here from Aug 2016 - Aug 2017. I experienced my AC breaking 4 times. The first time it was out for 4 days, and everytime I would call and ask they would put it off and never get back to me. Also experienced broken fridge, washing machine, and garbage disposal. But hey, if you want an apartment first year, this is your only choice! Just thought others should know beforehand.

Not bad for a graduate student apartment. It is quiet, and all people living here are students. They have a security system for each unit so it is quite safe. The unit itself is just fine and well designed, and the furniture and electronics they provided is not bad. There are only four things I was not satisfied: 1. It is too close to the railway, so you could be woken by the passing trains after moved in. But if you close your windows, it would be way much better. After a month or so, I am sure you will be used to it. 2. This is the university's property, so their contract is semester-based and somehow very weird comparing to a normal apartment. You need to be careful with it or you would be forced to move out or change to another unit, like I did. 3. For some reason, they do not allow you to use router with WIFI function - seriously, WHY? You DO aware this is nearly impossible in modern days, right? 4. The parking. It is a problem for the whole university. You can only park here with a silver permit, and you cannot park at university's parking lots with it before 5 pm. Yes, this place is on bus route, but if you have a class from afternoon to night, well, good luck. By the way, if a football match was to be held, the traffic around could be quite messy for a weekend.

Normally a great place to live. The blizzard was the straw that broke the camels back. They handled the COVID well, but throw in frozen pipes and it proved to much for the housing authorities. Students were kicked out of their dorm rooms and told to find a place to stay or sleep in their cars. Hopefully they're working on prorating the months rent for the students.
