Amazing place to visit. Highly recommend for a soul in need of inspiration.
This is a great midsize museum worth spending a few hours. Its blending of the new and old architecture is tasteful. The landscaping is understated and calming. You can grab food from the downstairs cafe and enjoy it outside under parasol and tree. Italian sandwich was absolutely delicious and price was reasonable, though I would pass on Americano coffee, which tasted watered down. Exhibits are mostly 16 to 19th century paintings with some modern masters. I hope people visiting Mass Moca would drop by and spend a few hours at this place, especially if you found the Mass Moca too be to contemporary.
Hats off to all the employees who work there as well. Every single one of them was pleasant. It s clear they all enjoyed their job. Kudos to the management for good hires and training staff well. It's really showing.
Fabulous gem in the Berkshire mountains. World class art and facility with lots of hiking trails.
Enjoyed the impressive collections in this beautiful minimalist building and serene trails into the woods. It is easy to kill 2-3 hours here just wandering and appreciating the art and peace of mind.
Beautiful landscape. Well taken care of. Dog friendly. Hiking trails, sight seeing, snow shoeing(in the winter). Gorgeous museum, beautiful building. Great experience all around.
Amazing permanent collection of Renoir, Gaugin, John Singer Sargent and especially Winslow Homer. Beautiful grounds and architecture blending old and new alike. Setting on approx 140 acres in Williamstown in the Berkshires is beyond compare.
Plan a trip to visit the Clark Art Institute! It s in beautiful Williamstown and only about a half mile from Williams College. In addition to the great works of art by the great impressionist painters, the Clark has acres of trails with outdoor works of art along with cow pastures and beautiful areas for picnics and peaceful walks.
Excellent beautifully maintained museum with statues and paintings from the 16 to 19th century. Many hiking trails and a cows pasture with a steep climb to the top of the grazing lands to see the cows. Picnic tables are located near the museum rear exit with beautifully maintained water views and statues. The tables are a perfect spot for friends and family to congregate and have food and great discussions. Reservations are required and masks must be worn indoors. Worth a visit!
