Hard working and friendly staff, clean, and reasonably priced rooms.

We appreciate a hotel that takes pride in providing a clean place to stay and a staff with a positive attitude, it always makes the stay more enjoyable.

I highly recommend them, and the restaurant they recommended next door, Woolies, that was great too.

Great stay.
Beautiful town.

Thank you.

I have stayed here several times in the past two years. Recently the hotel was sold to a new owner. Stay USA is no longer U.S. owned as of 12/3/19.
My family were staying there at the time and saw the changes firsthand during our stay. Firstly the rates have increased by over 25%. We booked at one price on Expedia and we're told upon arriving that the new owner had increased the room prices. The gift shop that also sold beverages and food is now gone. The hotel no longer gives kids popcorn, but left the machine in the lobby. My kids asked for some and we're rudly told "We don't do that anymore." with the machine in plain sight.
We were also told the common area were only to be used during breakfast hours and was no longer available to use after these hours. We were told not even to turn on lights in these areas.
The hotel will no longer provide hot water in this area for hot chocolate, tea, and coffee.
We also saw no pets of any kind during our stay, so it might be good to check with them first before booking. We brought our dog the week prior with a small fair upcharge.
These changes, accompanied by a pool that has been open a total of about two months (and is currently non functional) in two years and a 70 degree hot tub make it impossible for me to recommend Stay USA to anyone.
Unfortunately we won't be staying here anymore.

The GM (Steve) was rude, aggressive and insulting. He treated his desk manager terribly. I visited with other hotel personnel in the area and all agree that he has chased away customers and staff. New owner will not likely appreciate ten people leaving one night alone to go to the neighboring hotels. This guy seems to be good for the other hotels business but creates terrible PR for the area. One other hotel manager said that their best employees are former Stay USA people. My wife and I hope and pray the guy gets help. He can t be a very happy person and is certainly making life tough on his people.

Nice and convenient location. Friendly staff but they appeared to be understaffed especially in the morning while the clerk was also playing the one and only breakfast cook. Price was right at $109 and I would have paid more for a better mattress. It was really bad. Four stars because it was clean and they were friendly.

Highly recommend staying somewhere else. Stopped for the night on a road trip through SD with the hope of using the hot tub and pool. The pool is outdoors so it wasn't open, no biggie, but the hot tub was a total disappointment. The room in which the hot tub is smells as if someone may have died in one of the janitor's closets and in the process the decomposing body fried the electrical unit that warms the hot tub itself since the water was no warmer than stagnant bath water. The "Famous Breakfast" was also a joke. The coffee was weaker than a newborn baby and the "eggs" were cold and dry with chewy imitation cheese on the inside that I couldn't even swallow because it reminded me of the taste you get in your mouth after a night spent sleeping by the toilet because you drank too much. Won't ever be staying at a USA Stay Hotel again and hopefully anyone who reads this review can spare themselves the traveling disappointment by avoiding this hotel!

Hotel well located for the mammoth site. It has a very nice breakfast the rooms are large and clean and the staff friendly. It has interesting grounds with horse carriage, teepees, gazebo, and waterfalls. The lobby has a thirty-year-old buffalo named Buffy.

Nice rooms, but the pullout sofa beds aren't in working order right now. We were 5 people with two queens and a sofa bed, but I ended up on the floor because we weren't allowed to use the sofa bed. Luckily, we were able to switch to a room with 3 queens at a reasonable price.

Stayed there in late November 2015. Decent place to stay for $120 (1 night, 3 adults, double queen bed executive suite, and one dog). Pool and hot tub are on opposite sides of the hotel. Breakfast included. Not fancy but definitely met the need.
