Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff were very nice and polite to me and my family all throughout. They made us feel very welcome. The design of the hotel was very homey and cozy. The service was very good, the food needs a little improvement but overall we loved our stay here! I will recommend this place to my relatives and friends.

Not highly recommended. Got room was not in order, got upgrading but here were still dirty clothes from a previous hotel guest. Have to request another room again . The breakfast was good and the receptionist did what she could to limit the damage!

The Breckfast was tastless. Donuts and Cinamon roll were hard. Their fruit was All cut in half and seran wrapped as if they were serving small children. Waffles were the frozen ones you buy and pop in toaster. Sauage had no flavor eggs / omlets were cook real hard.
So we ordered cardboard puzza from snack store/gift shop.
Beds were comfortable place was clean and Employees were nice.
Pool was closed for the season and Jucuzzi wont let kids under 16 in it.
All else was fine.

This was a nice motel. Was clean and had a great breakfast area with a variety of breakfast choices. Hot tub area open year round but pool area closed in the winter. The only problem was that I didn t have hot water to shower. It was just warm. The motel was fairly full so that was possibly the problem. I d stay there again.

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars even though we didn't get to stay here ( no pet rooms available). The lady at the check in desk was very friendly and nice ,and called other hotels to see if they had pet friendly rooms available. Will definitely stay here next time around.

Stay USA is a very nice hotel. clean and well laid out. Allowed my puppy, a nice convienience if you are out hunting in western SD. We come out to stay when we clean out our place in the hills for winter and usually stay two to three days, price is fair for the area. Breakfast was good, service was great, room was clean. All in all a nice experience for three years in a row. No on site restaurant for meals, only downside.

They charged us extra for a pet friendly room and then threw on an extra 20 dollars per dog. No other hotel that we have stayed at has done this to us. They *might* charge us extra for the room because it might have wood floors or something but that usually covers it. They never make us give them more for each dog. Very sneaky business practice that is very much not appriciated.

This is probably the newest and cleanest hotel you will find in this area. Everything about our room was as expected. The pool is in a separate but connected building. We were a little disappointed to see there was no whirlpool in the pool area. I later learned the whirlpool is located in the main building next to the breakfast area.

I am pretty fussy about hotel rooms We stayed in a room with a kingsize bed. Our room was perfect. Clean and comfortable! The bed was comfortable and I really liked the six fluffy soft pillows. The breakfast was also very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable and was what I was quoted when I called and made reservations. I would definately stay here again. I would compare it to a nice Holiday Inn Express

Rented two rooms for two nights over Labor Day weekend. Overall, not a terrible visit, but for the price we paid, there were quite a few things I was pretty disappointed about. Paid extra for a pet rate I didn't see on the reservation system...found out when I got there. I thought this was a pretty new hotel so expected it to be pretty nice. On check-in, the desk clerk seemed rushed, stressed, and concerned about telling us why things were slow or difficult for her. Rooms were short towels. The beds were not very comfortable...worn out and saggy in the middle. The screen on our window was ripped. The A/C unit in the room had very limited controls so we couldn't keep it from kicking on and off all night (no constant fan setting). We were only able to get breakfast one morning, but I was really looking forward to it. There was a nice big breakfast area, but otherwise it was pretty disappointing - "hot" food was not even lukewarm in most of the warmers. It also seemed messier than it should have been...maybe the staff just couldn't keep up. Finally, the side exterior doors are not secured like most hotels (at least the one by our room was not). Probably won't be back to this one unless nothing else is available.

We came the day before the eclipse and they were understaffed due to the surge in customers. It took forever to check in, etc. The fitness center was not well stocked and the treadmills were not usable because the safety key had been misplaced. Otherwise it was generally clean and comfortable, if not a sparkling new facility. Typical motel breakfast.

Loved every minute of this "2 Star" hotel... I have stayed in some 4 stars that weren't as nice as this one. Staff was wonderful and very quick but attentive.

Within a 10 minute walk to the Mammoth Site (which is a must see), a 10 minute drive to the Evans Plunge hot springs pool, and like 3 minutes from downtown with many places to eat!

the food/coffee included in the free breakfast isn't even worth the price.

Remaining stars deducted because front gave us the wrong room and lied to us. After following up, the rude staff continued to lie and we will probably sue this place for false advertising and not delivering what they sold us. Other reviews confirm both in text and pictures that they offer the room we booked with a pull out couch. The idiot old man with the reverse mohawk and homeless looking beard blamed the issue on the internet and had no idea why several customers would lie about the accommodations.

Also the pool smells like a sewer.

Location is great, on the edge of town and within an hour of several attractions in the area. Room was comfortable, but could have used a better cleaning. Carpets had dirt on the edges near baseboards, bathroom floor was quite obviously not swept or mopped after prior guests. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, good price. The hotel is in need of some updates. Pool was not working during our stay, but spa was. However, there was a terrible smell in the room where the spa is, smelled like rotting cabbage... Not sure what was causing this. Over all, enjoyed our stay and employees at hotel were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Good and bad. At check-in the guy was excellent. The bed and a/c we're good.... however after we were in the room for awhile I found a cockroach climbing up the wall I looked around for more and didn't find any but there were sunflower seeds under the bed and raisins under the a/c unit. I wanted to discuss this with someone at checkout but no matter how many times I rang the bell no one showed up.

Change owners more than they change bed sheets. We are supposed to have a set price but it changes daily. The hoops we have to jump through to check in our crew is absolutely ridiculous. Suggest staying elsewhere.

Breakfast included is not worth the extra price of the room. Tile was loose and breaking off on our bathroom floor. An old dried up contact lens was on the wall of bathroom. Property is dated. We stayed several nights and housekeeping done in room always felt like they left it dirty. Front desk staff was friendly and checkin was quick. We were hauling a trailer and had plenty of parking space. Hotel needs a total makeover and update.

Steve the general manager was fantastic. I had to make last minute reservations for a funeral and he was understanding and very accommodating. Without a doubt I will always choose to stay here when I come to hot springs. Thanks Steve for your amazing customer service.

Staff was friendly, room was clean, and the price was right. Disappointed that the pool was closed. Not sure of the point of having an indoor pool if you cant have it open in the off season. The shower fixtures were cheap and falling apart.

Last year was great, so we booked again this year unknowingly new owner? The male clerk immediately developed a dislike for us when we walked in because we were wearing masks due to covid, he made surly mocking remarks about our address and insisted we run our card again though we had proof the charge went though he said we were accusing him is scamming us and he said he was canceling our reservation and calling the cops don t want people like you staying here . We were glad this establishment showed their true colors and feel blessed not staying there. They don t wear masks there and don t want anyone wearing any either.

The rooms were clean. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The people were friendly. The draw back was their special, that was posted throughout the hotel, was pizza and beer/wine delivered to your room. They charged $11 for a totino's pizza and it took over an hour to get it. Also, there was no corkscrew for the bottle of wine that was to go with it.
