Statue Cruises Review

Awesome ride. The only company allowed to stop at the island. Book the crown climb early and get ready to the 300+ steps

I had very positive experience with Statue Cruises. After exiting the subway, though a street agent was advertising the cruise, learning I have an online ticket, pointed me to the entry point. I was entered into "Reserved" ticket line according to the online ticket I purchased. Up ahead, another person scanned my ticket and then security checking was very smooth and pleasant for me. Then we boarded on the boat for Liberty Island. I didn't bother having AC in the boat because once it started to sail, nice breeze soothed us in the hot summer. Ferry timings are posted at the entry to/exit from the ferry. You just have to look around to find that. In fact, there is one every 20 minutes, which is great. After our visit of Liberty Island, we went to Ellis Island, another pleasant and smooth boat ride. Finally, we came to Battery Park, New York. I would recommend a friend to take this tour with Statue Cruises.
FYI, I always find the street agents a little obnoxious and 'engaging' when I use a train to subways near battery park. But it's not that bad, just tell them you are not interested, they should leave you alone. Those people are trying to cut some commission by finding customers.

The cruise line is your go to for the Statue and Ellis. I recommend everyone do the statue first, spend a little time there and then go to Ellis. The cruise is fast and they move a lot of people around pretty quickly. Be fair warned though it is still a boat. As smooth as it is. If the wind is hitting NYC the right way that boat is going to what boats do, especially at the dock. Also remember this is lower Manhattan the nature of the area is high security. It can create some anxiety.

Good at shuffling and shuttling people from one location to another. Just don't expect a smile on anyone's faces. They seem to forget that they are providing a service that we all pay for. Customer service is not their thing. Again, they are good at getting you there.

The support team just replied. The reason: It s a high season for them, so they were overwhelmed with emails. The support team was nice and friendly. The process of refund was quick and I did not have to do anything else other than sending them an email.

I d suggest them to have auto-reply to let whoever send them an email to notify them that it s a high season and the sender should expect a delay in reply.

The support team never check email. I mistakenly reserved a wrong date and sent them an email to ask if it s possible to refund. No one answered.

Line management is awful. Waited a minimum of an hour to get on the ferry at each spot...so 3 plus hours of waiting in 90 degree weather. I wish I just took a boat ride around the monuments and never got off. There s not much more see once you re off. Would never recommend this. They make you feel like a herd of cattle. It s horrible. We should have done the Circle Line. It was torture. Do not go on this unless the crowds are small that day. They don t know how to manage a crowd at all!!!!!!!!

Fun! Great views of the city and Lady Liberty! Stay on the boat...the crowds rush off and you will enjoy the peace and quiet!

We had the New York Pass and had to pick up tickets at the counter, or swap. The waiting time was not worth mentioning, also at the security control it was really fast.
We just stayed at the other stops on the boat.
Highly recommended are the cinnamon rolls!

Little bit like herding cattle, but they do a good job of moving people around. When you get to the status, everyone goes to the starboard side of the boat and I swear it tilted the boat 10 degrees! The crew is adept and snappy and treated us all well.

Your neat and new tour buses really speak for your brand, I decided to make use of your sightseeing service based on that fact.

It is Thea most convenient way to go to the status of liberty and the way there is nice. You can have a good view of the city.
The wait is long though.

Line management and security are a joke. Prepare to spend 30 minutes on liberty island and 4 hours total in line!

Great views as you tour Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, the ticketing system is inefficient, and they herd you like cattle onto the ferry. Workers were yelling at people to hurry up, even though they couldn't due to other people in front of them. Felt like we just joined the Army. If you want people to load people faster, then maybe have ferry's that have wider loading areas...not what basically amounts to a doorway that can accommodate 2 people.

Way too busy. Security stole my small pocket knife.

Pretty smooth running even on a busy morning, the boats could use a refurb though.

We went to the statue of liberty on a Sunday and there were a lot of people, but nevertheless the trip has been quick and pleasant

Reserve your tickets ahead of time because there can be a very big line. When you buy your ticket for the ferry know if it is for the crown of if it's just for the crown. They were sold out so I didn't get to go to the crown :( the view is amazing of last liberty and of the city.
