It was a small zoo but I enjoyed it and so did my son especially wen it's right close to home. The place is clean they did follow the guide lines and it wasn't crowded. My favorite attraction was meeting Dunkin the sloth. My son and I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful animals. Come support the Staten Island zoo.

Have always loved this zoo. Tiny but filled with animals and exhibits. Great for 2-10 year olds and adults alike. Free parking, great admission price. Never had complaints about this zoo. Well maybe the big cat exhibits and bald eagle enclosure could be roomier.
Few years ago visited on a free wednesday. Small enough to enjoy without being overly anxious to see everything and be tired at the end.
Nice place to spend the afternoon. Small zoo, cute peacock walking around to greet people. Need more big cats exhibits, they only have a leopard. Needs funding!
We loved it from the first sight! There is a lot of animals, we didn't see anywhere like cassowary, anteater, different bat's and other, we were impressed with 4 huge water tanks with fresh and sea water. Unfortunately now not all attractions are working and only back entrance, but there's enough spots on free zoo parking across the street
Absolutely loved it!!!!!! What a fun day. This is good for toddlers and small children, because it's not too big, but has enough animals to keep children entertained and curious. My daughter kept wanting to pet the sheep and trying to catch the peacock. And I think, it's something that can never get old for them, you can revisit and it will still be interesting!!!!
I believe the animals in this zoo are well taken care of. Everywhere was clean and for the price it's a nice walk around while you enjoy the animals fairly close.
