Often mistaken for the first Starbucks.

If you're just interested in getting coffee, this location will have shorter lines than the one closer to the water.

The original Starbucks is a one of a kind experience.
This is my neighborhood Starbucks and I've been coming here for years. The service is always on point. Coffee is made by the best trained staff (in my opinion). Been starting my day here for years. Cheers!
Gonna be honest, this is where my new Starbucks addiction began
Always top notch. Flagshp store, so usually the best people.
The customer service is good. I asked for a steamer of the pumpkin latte and no questions were asked they made it for me right a d it was wonderful.
The Starbucks near Pike place market has its own charm and view (provided you get a place to sit).
The place is buzzing with activity.
It is near the first store, and only here is the same logo as the first store.
The first store is so small that you can't relax in it.
The logo mark is the same as the first store, and you can buy the first store goods here.
This is one of the best Starbucks stores I have been to. The service is great, plus it has the old-fashion decoration of the 1st store which add on to the great experience. The staff is also very friendly and the location is awesome. I truly enjoyed the experience.
When you need coffee you should know this is the right place to get it!
I don't drink this overpriced coffee usually. I was visiting with family so I had ice water and people watched.
Got there bright n early on Saturday. No line ups, great service, loved it.
The employees are super friendly. It was my first time going to this location, but it seemed like the employees knew a lot of regulars by name. It's also super close to pike's place market.
Great staff and quality of coffee that matches if not exceeds the Starbucks brand.
Fast service for morning rush, friendly staff, a place to sit, clean area.
Good coffee nice staff they are loving to serve us as their customers
I was surprised that they didn't have any cakes, at least not when I was there.
Great Starbucks as it's right across from the market but man long wait to get just a grande nitro brew
Very busy, but adequate seating. In desperate need of electrical outlets.
I visited Thanksgiving Eve 2020 and the young lady and men that were working were so wonderful! Talkative, knowledgeable and overall helpful. I m sure that day was crazy busy and I came in prior to closing but they still offered a great experience.
Almost the obvious spot that everyone who fond of Starbucks have to visit "The first and original Starbucks shop." you'll see the long line up front whenever you pass by.
By far one of my favorite Starbucks based on the staff alone. Friendly and make you want to come back just to see them. I think I found my go to barista here.
Alice at the till is incredible, a great combo of efficiency and friendly chatting. Everyone else was churning out drinks with a smile too!
Super crowded, small, what the heck they have outdoor area but no seats or tables???? Service waa fast and well run.
It has some exclusive stuff since it's the oldest one. Other than that it's consistent with other Starbucks, but with a 15 minute wait.
As coffee shops go I usually prefer a less crowded place, but this Starbucks is in a popular location so it couldn't be helped. The line was long and stayed that way the whole time I was there. In all fairness the staff worked through it quickly. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so it's good for groups and drinks on a date. Pike Place Market is right across the street and Wells Fargo has an next door on 1st.
This Starbucks offers the reserve coffee choices usually only available at Starbucks Reserve. Unfortunately when it got really busy employees didn't appear to want to take the time to do the coffee pour over as I watched employees move our cups behind easier orders and took 25 minutes to get drinks!
Hummm... Great Starbucks? At least there isn't a line to get in like the market's location next block.
Very fast for the amount of tourists that are there
The first Starbucks is located here. Small and always full but worth and much visit for fans of the brand to know she was born is very cool.
Very friendly and nice baristas, cozy seating, but store is always crowded. Perfect if you order from your app and are in and out.
One block away from the first Starbucks store. There is a special menu. It is quite crowded just because of the location.
Inexplicably closed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 1st. UPDATE: It was closed for May Day, but with no explanatory signage. Still bad, but no longer mysterious.
If you are a fan of Starbucks.... you must at least check it out.
Not the Original/first! But still great coffee & service.
It's not the first Starbucks but it is a whole lot quieter. After you finish your coffee you can walk down ad take some pictures at the first one while avoiding the insane line for coffee.
Speedy service and friendly staff. Nothing super special. Right near the market and easier to order rather than waiting forever at the flagship store.
LOL best place ever. i love em. NOT the first starbucks thugh. thats down the street
I am a previous partner but never got around to going to a reserve store. I asked Salvador what coffee would be good and told him I liked the earthy, fruity notes like in Komodo dragon. He gave me a recommendation, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. He said that most of the reserve they have now is fruity which I said was okay. He then gave me an option of two and explained their differences. I went with the Idjwi Island and it was perfect. Thank you to Slavador for being so helpful!
Important to note that this is NOT the first ever Starbucks location. The first one does not exist anymore but its replacement is located further in Pike Market. They offer the same coffee here though, and the lines are shorter (though they can still be quite long). Great place overall.
starbucks coffee from this place is awesome...can't beat starbucks coffee from seattle
Don't feel like waiting in the crazy line for the 'first'? Then do what I did, come here, get your coffee quick, and get on with your day!
Obligatory stop to visit the first Starbucks store in the world, and try its exclusive reservation. Many people and few tables.
Very nice but busy place. A good place to grab a coffee. The original Starbucks is around the corner but always so crowded & usually has a line to get in.
Always super busy but they get people in and out quickly
Had a lay over decided to try out the original Starbucks and know why I go elsewhere, sorry fans
I appreciate the great job Starbucks does serving up quality coffee at scale. Are there occasional hiccups? Yes, how could there not be when taking care of that many people. But overall, the job they do is impressive. Food and drinks are of consistent quality, the locations are comfortable, and the staff is accommodating and friendly. This location is great, conveniently located next to Pike Place market. Grab a coffee and enjoy exploring Seattle!
It was too busy and crowded to stay and enjoy my coffee.
When I visit Seattle, I always stop by this store. For 6years, they are still nice and great. Although this is not the first starbucks store, it is good place to have rest after seeing Pikeplace Market and the first Starbucks.
Wow - management SERIOUSLY chased away one of their biggest draws, musician Tommy Gantt. Bad move, Starbucks. This guy brought people in! Now he'll be drawing people to your competition. I'll never return!
Nice place to enjoy coffee and so friendly staff who wear black glasses
Had to stop here !
I have bought so much Starbucks over the years, I am sure I have paid for the sign overhead?
Really crowded, have to wait in line to get in.
Was only about 30 minutes, had my wife and son roam around while I held the spot.
I am not particularly partial to Starbucks and prefer local outlets that provide higher quality roasting and brewing. I went to this location as part of a business function through my employer and would recommend it if you are interested in visiting a Starbucks near Pike Place Market. Beyond that, not much else to say because a Starbucks is like any other.
Argueably the best location in Seattle or downtown. Has community seating picnic type tables, leather seats with an assigned electrical outlet, a counter and outside sidewalk cafe for people watching. Understandably, the restrooms are for employees only since the area would draw in the homeless type crowd. The selection of pastry, sandwiches, etc., is poor for the volume of traffic. Overall, just the location is suffice for the Pike Street experience.
Be prepared for a long wait here because it's so popular! Lots of special brews available here that aren't in other Starbucks. Check out the nitro coffees and cold brews on a hot day.
It was fun to see one of the originals. I'm not a coffee drinker, but history and modem cultural history is fun to experience.
