Wonderful history, comfortable rooms, and great views of the bay!
Wonderful history, comfortable rooms, and great views of the bay!
Our Wedding was perfect and it was all due to the Perry and their wonderful staff. Angie and Debbie are great at with all the planning and Evan will coordinate and orchestrate your day perfectly. The Perry is beautiful inside and out. It has breathtaking views of the Bay and the grounds are perfect. The food was amazing, as good as any we have had while in Ann Arbor. Let's be honest, Wedding food is usually underwhelming at best. Ours was wonderful, and the staff was great from the servers to the bartenders. Ernest Hemingway loved the Perry, we loved the Perry and you will too!
Always wonderful. We make a point to divert to Perry whenever we are close. Really nice resturant and wonder breakfast included with stay. You gotta go.
4.5 out of 5 stars. Great historic yet perfectly modernized hotel! Excellent location to walk to everything downtown and little traverse bay. Staff are great and rooms are super clean. The rooms are good size and bathrooms modernized. A negative is that the walls are not sound proofed so plan on bringing white sound. It's a little pricey but not horrible. We tried this after trying the bay view inn last time. If you want to be in walking distance of downtown them this is a good option. If you want more peace then I'd suggest bay view inn. Staffords is overall a good choice.
The location and views struck me first. Cozy and Comfortable, I stayed one night however I'll add 5 more days please!
Marcus Groh the waiter at The Noggin Room has always been our favorite server. He's friendly, educated on adult beverages, makes great dinner suggestions, and always has a contagious smile. Celia has served us on occasion she too is a pleasure and has the same friendly attitude as Marcus. The food is always yummy. French Onion Soup and Buffalo dip are 2 of my favorite things to start my meal off with. Calamari is a little under fried for my liking but the staff is always willing to fo the extra mile. Entertainment is always a blast!!
I attended the Instant Wine Cellar at the Perry. The staff was very helpful and the areas were clean and well maintained.
I was in town for the weekend and went into this establishment to get lunch with 7 people and was told because the manager thought they were gonna get busy he didn't want to give up a bigger table & 3 extra chairs to sit us all together. He wanted to sit all 7 of us at a table for 4. So instead of losing 2 chairs he lost 7. This didn't even deserve a 1 star. Extremely disappointed.
Classic rooms, nice service, comfortable atmosphere.
This is a historic hotel. I was very surprised by how well the facility has been maintained. The staff was very helpful. I would recommend that you consider this hotel.
I don't understand the draw of noggin room. Food is consistently mediocre.
Excellent hotel. Staff is polite and courteous. Restaurant was great too.
People are very friendly this hotel is right in the heart of town. The planked White Fish was fantastic!
My wife and I go her wherever we can. It's like stepping into a time machine and experiencing a better, simpler world we left behind.
Excellent hotel. Staff is polite and courteous. Restaurant was great too.
Have always loved the Perry Hotel the staff, the rooms, the food are always exceptional, but this week we had a medical emergency in our family, it was a busy weekend. They booked rooms for us on a last minute call they were so supportive to my sister in law. Thanks cannot express all you did for our family. A huge thanks you all have been a true blessing.
Beautiful rooms and beautiful landscape. Excellent getaway
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Had the best time! Hope to go back again some day!
Amazing historic, but totally modernized hotel. Will add to our color your every year!
Had a great time staying at this hotel! Excellent location with easy walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautifully kept and each room has adorable antique furniture to keep up with the theme. Some rooms have a view of the lake, but if you're doesn't just have a meal in the delicious restaurant on the second floor- stunning! This place is NOT handicap friendly (I could take the elevator partly but still had to lug my bag up a few stairs) and uses good old fashioned keys. And apparently Ernest Hemingway stayed here!
Wonderful place to stay in Petoskey. Good food and excellent staff. Very comfortable beds.
My husband and I love this Pub! Eddie is a great manager that takes great care of his community. The food and staff is outstanding.
This is a classic hotel with old time charm. Of course, that means the rooms are sometimes musty and generally need updating. However, the staff is superb and the location is similarly superb. Just don't expect the Ritz.
We went to the Perry Hotel memorial weekend for our anniversary. It was so lovely. From the views to the relaxed elegant atmosphere. Really made the celebration that much more memorable. Loved it
An amazing place to visit and stay. All the staff is very helpful. I so recommend The Perry hotel.
Great view, and great location within walking distance of downtown.
The hotel and service were awesome. We attended an outdoor wedding and the view overlooking the bay was gorgeous. I would highly recommend the Stafford Perry.
Interesting old hotel with old world charm but modern amenities.
Ate at the Noggin room. Service was great and food was good.
Tried to get a table for 7 but the manager tried to cram us all into a table for 4 because he didn't want to waste table space. That is what he told us when we asked for a bigger table. He was so sure that he was going to lose space, well he lost our business. The worst customer service ever.
The hotel has a very warm and cozy feel. Our room was a bit small, but cute. We drank and saw a band in the Noggin Room, which is right in the hotel. It was a fun little place with good food and drink options. Once we booked the room we were sent an email detailing guest amenities and hotel features. It included information on the jacuzzi and fitness room, which we were pretty excited about. But once we got there and went to find said amenities, we came across a run down little room with 3 crappy tredmills and a giant board covering where the hot tub once was. We mentioned it to the front desk and they acted like it was no big deal and explained that they had to shut it down because it was not up to code and not handicap accessible. Oh well. The town was nice and we had a relaxing weekend. Just wish we could have soaked for a bit and had a decent morning workout. I probably won't come back.
I would normally go with less stars but the hospitality and decor helped .
The good ...the hotel is beautiful and the rooms and halls are all differently decorated (the bathroom in the room is really nice ) and it's really cool to walk through the hotel. Everything seemed clean throughout. The staff was very nice and extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
The veiw from a lake front room is pretty nice as well
The bad.. the bed was like a rock and the pillows were absolutely terrible
When inspecting the sheet corners ( cause im a freak) i noticed the sheets were stained with multiple different marks.
All in all i wanted to just give a rave review but the bed and pillows just made for a tough morning
This place has great character and a historical feel to it. Some say it's haunted, if you are into that sort of thing. Also, it's a great location for walking to local stores and has a gorgeous lake view. That's what the higher price is for. They have their own parking lot, which was super convenient.
The staff was courteous. Housekeeping is there but due to covid, you won't see them in your room. If you need toiletries, towels, etc., contact the front desk.
They have a place inside for breakfast and dinner. Expect a super limited menu. This could be covid related, but was a let down. The food that was there was good and cooked to our expectations. The waiting staff was nice and quick with service. There is a room off of the front desk that had a computer, and some beverages, both alcoholic and regular, for purchase. Expect a hotel price. You will be able to charge your meals to your room, if that interests you.
Our room was the higher end king suite. Coffee was in the room. Things like a hair dryer, in shower soap, shampoo, conditioner. The TV was smaller than expected, based on the room price. The bed slept well, and we both are super picky about beds in general. We went in October and the room stayed a bit warm when after lowering the temp. Pro tip: don't be afraid to turn on the AC to cool it off. Was much quicker.
We will be coming back to The Perry. This is more due to the overall feel and it's location. Though next time we will most likely not try for the fall package unless it's the same price as without. We will just didn't our cash on local restaurants with a greater food selection.
The Perry is classic, comfortable Petoskey. The only place I stay when I visit. The staff is awesome. The rooms are clean and nice. The restaurant has amazing views and good food.
Beautiful rooms with a great complimentary breakfast.
The service was great, the bar down stairs was very accommodating as well. Bed was comfortable and good pillows but room was a little tight.
Great staff in charming, classic hotel. The breakfast is worth staying here
Nice historic hotel located in downtown Petoskey. Parking can be a challenge, but worth it. Food at the Noggin Room was very good.
Historical hotel with modern day plumbing. Stafford's does a great job with the historical ambience in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The bathrooms are updated with large showers, new fixtures, and nice water pressure. The staff hosted an outdoor event for a fairly large group. Tents were equipped with sound system and heaters for in case the weather cooled.
The food was awesome and our server, was excellent!!!
The very best place to be when in Petoskey. Great service, very clean well cared for classically beautiful hotel. With an amazing basement pub and restaurant!
Located in downtown Petoskey, Stafford Perry Hotel is old and beautiful. Wonderfully maintained and operated, the views out nearly every window fill you with Michigan pride. Enjoyed every second I was there, especially having an actual library room in the hotel.
Nice place to stay in Petoskey. The Noggin Room Restaurant in the lower level has good food and live entertainment. Walking distance to all the shops and bars in gaslight district. Close to the water too!
Very cozy hotel. Old world charm + clean rooms. Look for welcoming pineapples everywhere... a sign of good taste ;)
Such a lovely hotel in the heart of a charming town. Nice staff and a beautiful room for visiting as well as a nice dining room.
Could you find s better sunset!
Clean nice rooms. Nice well informed personnel
I showed up for trivia night and it was packed. It was a lot of fun just trying to guess even though I wasn't playing. We ordered food and despite being busy it came really fast and was tasty. I would recommend 10 out of 10.
Perfect location and you can walk anywhere in town, the bed was comfortable, love the shower, great water pressure. Breakfast was average, but it was free. Customer service was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again.
The service was not good... We waited for drinks coffee for an hour to get filled
Stopped in on a Saturday night with friends and had a few beers with dinner and enjoyed the live music a lot. The service was excellent and as always it was a good time.
This hotel is adorable. STAY HERE! Rooms make me feel like I'm staying the night at my rich uncle's (I don't really have a rich uncle). Staff was friendly, food was good, and there are plenty of odd rooms to explore. The view was excellent. What more could you ask for? Oh sword fighting monkey wallpaper? Yes, they have that too.
Only hotel in downtown Petoskey so it's perfect if you want to to stroll around and shop. Very clean and charming! We only stay here when visiting Petoskey!
I have no complaints at all. Everything was very nice. The place is beautiful. I love how eco friendly they are. Breakfast was an actual breakfast. I look forward to staying again.
gorgeous, clean, good food! my cousin got married there and it was perfect!
Stafford's Perry Hotel is a beautiful place to enjoy a weekend away, grab a delicious meal, or even hold your wedding ceremony! I would recommend Stafford's to anyone looking for a classic and unique hotel or venue in Petoskey. Their attention to detail is outstanding and they have a true vision of quality in everything they do. You will be pleased with your stay and how their team makes you feel so welcome, you will want to go back!
Beautiful inn with a great location within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
Took my inlaws out for their 25th. The staff went above and beyond to make a cake for them. Great food! And great server Tammy
Excellent cuisine...the thanksgiving buffet is about $36... Your going to spend that anyways here so thats decent for thanksgiving...staff very friendly!
Enjoyed our one night stay. The staff is great. Soundproofing is not the best - walls are thin. Sitting on the porch, though, is very relaxing.
So beautiful great views, comfortable rooms and the best bathrooms I've seen in a hotel 1st class. We will be back for years to come.
Food was good, but were there to meet friends and talk and the band was overwhelmingly loud. Fine if that's why you're there, but we weren't.
Great antique atmosphere and feel about the place, especially for events. The Noggin Room is worth visiting.
Lovely historic hotel in a wonderful medium sized town. Great for a getaway. Tons of shops within walking distance.
This hotel is amazing. I was skeptical at first about spending a lot of money on a hotel per night; but it was well worth it. The hotel is beautiful and amazing. We will definitely go back again next year. The front desk staff and entire hotel staff all were great. We received a breakfast voucher; but we would eat breakfast with or without one. The food was amazing. The hotel grounds were absolutely beautiful and exquisite. We loved our room; and our housekeeping staff did a great job. We will definitely be back again next year. Keep up the great work!
Had breakfast here in the impeccably appointed dining room. Very lovely atmosphere.
Wait staff was sub par. Food was good but not outstanding.
The Perry Hotel more than exceeded our expectations! Evan Chestnutt was our contact. Her professionalism and attentiveness made us feel thoroughly taken care of leading up to the wedding and the day of. The Perry Hotel went above and beyond to help us create the vision of our wedding. Our reception was held in their colorful and lush gardens with Lake Michigan as the backdrop. The incredible sunset view was a stunning highlight. Guests were thrilled with the accommodations and hospitality of the hotel staff. We can't wait to go back to visit for anniversaries to come!
