About St. Vincent Catholic Charities
St. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC) is a non-profit organization that has been serving the mid-Michigan area for over 70 years. The organization was founded in 1948 by the Catholic Diocese of Lansing and has since grown to become one of the most respected and trusted human services organizations in the region.
At STVCC, our mission is to provide help, create hope, and serve all those in need with dignity and respect. We offer a wide range of programs and services designed to meet the needs of individuals, families, children, seniors, refugees, immigrants, and anyone else who requires assistance.
One of our primary areas of focus is adoption and foster care services. We believe that every child deserves a loving home where they can thrive and grow into happy adults. Our experienced staff works tirelessly to match children with adoptive families who can provide them with stability, love, and support.
In addition to adoption services, we also offer counseling for individuals dealing with mental health issues or addiction problems. Our licensed therapists are trained to provide compassionate care that helps clients overcome their challenges while building resilience for future success.
Another important aspect of our work at STVCC is refugee resettlement. We partner with local churches and community organizations to welcome refugees from around the world who are seeking safety from war or persecution in their home countries. Our team provides housing assistance, language classes, job training programs as well as other essential resources needed for successful integration into American society.
We also operate several food pantries throughout mid-Michigan which provide nutritious meals for those struggling with food insecurity due to poverty or other circumstances beyond their control.
At STVCC we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare regardless of their ability to pay. That's why we offer medical clinics staffed by licensed healthcare professionals who provide affordable medical care including preventative screenings such as mammograms or flu shots.
Our commitment extends beyond just providing basic needs; we strive towards empowering people through education opportunities such as GED classes or vocational training programs which help them gain new skills necessary for employment success.
