Very helpful group, from beginning to end. Very nice people there, and I always enjoy saying hello to them.

I've been working in the building design and planning industry for over 18 years. I deal often with all municipalities in the greater Tampa Bay area and they are by far the least accessible and most unorganized in the area. i never write reviews because i can always find a reason that service providers can have a difficulty from time to time but, they're so consistently awful i felt compelled to write this review. If you develop land in this city hire 3rd party inspectors and plans examiners.

I'm a local electrical contractor with my business operating all over the greater Tampa Bay area, and hands down, St Petersburg has the most helpful staff, user friendly website, and generally knowledgeable inspectors.

Sad Sad city. Run far and fast. Told me to cut down tree, then fined me for no permit. The State of Florida has now taken that power from the St. Pete because they abused it. After 60 years I left, best thing I ever did.

If your a contractor stay away you do not want to work in Pinellas co and St Pete they rip contractors off with fees had a permit expire they charged me
$550 to reinstate permit and pay county a fee too
They are the only county I would not do work in
Been a contractor over 40 years not worth dealing with this county or city Hillsborough co is a good county to do work in they are fair.
If you do work in Pinellas county charge customers more to cover county rip offs

Maria was so helpful and informative! I was in and out within 25-30 minutes or so. Super simple process.

Permit techs are not trained well. I had to come here 3 times to renew a permit . This place takes all day to get something as renewing the permit done. I highly recommend bringing your bed with you so you can relax while waiting for 8 hours
