The experience at St. Nicholas Ranch was the singular thing that has changed my life the most. From the Prayer services to the O.L sessions to the amazing and beautiful people I met there(that I know consider family) it was the best experience of my life. If you do decide to go, be prepared to have your life and view of life changed for the complete better! (and be prepared to have a whole lot of fun.) Bring summer clothes and maybe a light jacket for nighttime and bugs. Bring bug spray, and a flashlight. Also bring a NOTEBOOK for night with God:) I HIGHLY recommend going to this camp during the summer and really committing to having a great time and learning more about Orthodoxy and learning more about yourself. Thanks!

This place is excellent in every way. Nice hotel-style lodge rooms. Two excellent basketball courts. The pool was not heated, but in the Summer, that's ideal. Two miles from the Sierra Cat Haven (a world class educational sanctuary for large cats) and only 20 minutes to the Sequoia National Park entrance. All set in a beautiful little valley surrounded by gorgeous mountains. There is only kitchen staff when groups are scheduled, but if you happen to get a room when there is a group there, the food is terrific, especially Mr. Pappadoianakis' Tri-tip. Otherwise, there is a cool little sports grill 3 miles away and a pizza place in Squaw Valley about 9 miles down hwy 180.

Also, it's only a short walk to the Monastery of the Theotokos, the life-giving spring.

Had a Road Scholar trip (5 days) here to study Greek history and religious iconography. Good food an tour of monastery. Sequoia National Park is about 45 minutes away and well worth the trip. Nice people.

It's simple, quiet, reflective and peaceful. The staff is wonderful, always ready to help and insure your satisfaction. The rooms are immaculate and the furnishings are simple. There are no TVs in the rooms. Bring books to read or write More
