Visited with our 3 kiddos and had a wonderful day. With the limited attendance it wasn't crowded and so nice to be able to see all of the animals without trying to push your way through the crowd. Lots to see and do. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. If I had any complaint it would be the cleanliness of the restrooms, but it was a busy day.

The zoo vist here in STL was enjoyable. They do require you to RSVP any tickets in advance for COVID restrictions even though it is free entry. You are required to wear a mask while entering the zoo itself and any indoor exhibit but while walking you may take it off which was nice since it was so muggy out when we visited.

What they don't tell you is if you wish to see certain animals you have to buy passes to see them as well.

The set up of some habitats did not make sense to me a small animal or two with a bigger location where as a larger animal in a smaller area than expected. Also a small portion of animal habitats were vacant or unable to enter due to COVID.

It was hit and miss with customer service some employees were nice like in the gift shops and happy to help while others food venues seemed inconvenienced when we needed drinks or had they expected us to know kind of attitude.

Overall I did enjoy this zoo as a first time guest but was not so impressed that I will visit again. Nothing towards them but I personally have not yet found a zoo better than OKC and the experience they have offer.

They do have very healthy and beautiful animals that like to pose for the camera.

I am currently in a cast. Renting a scooter was an easy, relaxing, and fun way to see the park. I was impressed by the ADA accommodations to enter the exhibits. With the limited population, it was less overwhelming and I felt safe.

Thanks St. Louis Zoo for a great experience!!

One of the best zoos in the country and it's free! Be sure to make a free reservation on their website ahead of time and bring your mask. Generally speaking, the covid-19 protocols were good. Most people wore masks and kept their distance, but there were a few who did not. Some of the exhibits have one way traffic to help with social distancing.

Probably the best zoo I ve visited! We were not expecting it to be so gorgeous. All the animals seemed extremely well cared for and they had tons and tons of space/enrichment opportunities. The zoo is also an animal breeding center and does a ton of conservation projects. The staff was extremely friendly and the gift shops weren t overpriced. Parking was $15. The penguin/puffin exhibit was the best experience I ve had at a zoo. That alone was worth the cost of parking. You could easily spend 6 hours here. The gardens were lush and manicured. Honestly so much thought went into every aspect of this place, I plan on coming back for a weekend to spend more time here and I live 12 hours away.
