Monday (3/19/19), we had someone break in to our apartment. We called the STLPD, as well as the leasing office and it took roughly 75 minutes for them to show up. The person who did the burglary was still in the building and likely escaped due to time it took the police to respond.

Fast forward to today (3/23/19). The people involved in the burglary were back in their apartment. We called the police again, 3 times. After waiting over 80 minutes, we left the apartment because it was clear no one from the STLPD was going to arrive, even though the people involved were on the property.

My girlfriend and I are thankful that neither of us were injured, or worse, Due to the lackadaisical approach of the STLPD.

These guys are a joke. They can give out speeding tickets for no reason when in reality they are the ones who cut you off in traffic and fly past you and red lights when they arent even in pursuit.

I live on a very busy street where two of my cars has been hit in front of my house in broad day light. The first time was the city trash vehicle and they did not want to acknowledge that they did so, when I saw them and the second was a lady without car insurance, blacked-out and hit all the side of my other car until she was able to put it on the sidewalk of 2 houses down. So now I got a ticket for parking my truck on the curb! If the City of St.Louis Police would have done there job and given this lady that had NO car insurance for 2 months before she hit my car a ticket and made her pay for the damages on my vehicle or did something at ALL, then maybe I would not have to park on the curb. I had to get a police report, make copies, go to there web site to print out a form, then fax that to Jefferson City, so that they could at least suspend her license! And they only did it for a year!!! So when ever you really need help, call some one else who can actually help you and not these leaches that get paid with our tax money. If you do need to call them, just remember it takes them a hour in a half to get anywhere you need them, but you can be sure to find them lallygagging in the parking lot of a closed down company on Gustine. I always pass by there and there is 1-5 cop cars just talking and hanging out. No wonder "The City of St.Louis" is in the list of WORST Citys of the world.

I called and a man named "Chrong" "Chrome" , I'm sure he lied about his name after I asked. Anyways, I called and asked for information about reporting a domestic disturbance from out of state. I told him that I was on the phone and heard the door being broken and details if the assault. This man responded coldly, "Well maybe you should have asked the address before this happened". I am sickened by the lack of care these man portrayed in such a sensitive situation. Extremely unprofessional as were the choice words I gave him at the end of the call. Nonetheless, this man that answered to give information @ 108pm, did just the opposite.

I was calling in regard to a death and locating the loved one personal belongings. I originally spoke with this police department when the accident happen. So I thought that is who I suppose to call back. For them to be so rude and disrespectful when another human being is dealing with a situation like this is totally disgusting. I see if this was a first time type of thing but this same situation happen with my sister passing earlier this year. This is completely unacceptable. The police department need to re think who they are allowing to be a receptionist/answer calls. No one deserves to be treated poorly when dealing with a death of a love one. Something as simple as trying to get there belongings back should not be so heart breaking during a difficult time.

OFFICER AMBROSE, was called to a severe head on collision. He didn't show up until an hour later after both parties were tired of waiting. After he finally decided to show up he noticed the nondrivable vehicle parked OUT OF THE WAY in an alley. So instead of being EMPATHETIC he towed my car after it sat parked there for 45 minutes. He took longer to arrive to the scene then the amount of time my car was parked mind you costing a victim more money because he had ZERO CONCERN for the same people he took to an oath to SERVE AND PROTECT. Great job failing as a PUBLIC SERVANT and great job sh!tting on the good names of the good officers still out there. This is one of the many reasons why this profession has no respect in today's culture. YOU NEED A REFRESHER COURSE BADLY!
