What a wonderful find in Seal Beach. We wanted to try something new so we were pleased when we walked into Bistro St Germain s. There were plenty of seats at 5pm and we were happy to see the had happy hour every evening from 3-5pm. We choose 3 small plates to share, the pork pops, the cauliflower and the beef Bourgeon. All were wonderful and full of flavor. They went well with our wine and filled us up. We will be back.

Waste of money. Most food isn t authentic French. There was absolute NO seasoning on the food, not even salt. Poutine is a joke, have they ever been to Canada???? Service was unfriendly. Don t recommend this place at all.

French restaurant with an international menu. We had the burger, a salad, lasagna and the stew as well as the goat cheese appetizer. Everything tasted good. The lasagna is not traditional Italian, more of a moussaka.

We had a really great time here. Good food and service. Ambiance is fun, loud with conversation and music. Great corner location, and windows open at sundown was a nice touch. Plan on spending $80 to $100 for two, including tip. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our meal here. We enjoyed a special that included an appetizer, entre, dessert and a glass of wine. All very good. Will definitely visit again. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend a visit. Located in Seal Beach.

A friend and I went. She had the lollipop lamb chops and Ceasar salad. I ordered the Bistro burger w/drink included. It was all very good. I like the atmosphere and service was excellent.

I had the boeuf bourguignon which had a delicious taste, very saucy, so would have been nice to have it served with some baguette. As a dessert, I had the baileys creme brulee, which was good, but nothing extra ordinary. For a creme brulee, it was in texture more resembling a flan. The sandwiches that I saw the waitress serving at the other tables looked delicious and makes me want to go back for them. Overall the place is very cozy and good place to refresh after a bike ride or to have a meet-up with friends.

Fabulous dinner of 1/2 price tapas. A perfect Keto dinner! The pork belly lollipops (they will hold the sauce) and their brussel sprouts were amazing!! Also enjoyed the escargot and the octopus with chimichurri. I'll be back

The French baguette was very dry and tasteless. The french fries were not (typical French fries one gets in France). Here they were very ordinary. The beef bourguignon was very very fatty. I couldn't find the meat. The salmon was way overcooked. The server was pleasant but only one (and probably only one chef) for too many tables for one server so service was slow, very very slow. They don't honor veterans

Thoughtful wine list, delicious dishes, and a few nice beer selection on tap. Escargot, short rib poutine, charcuterie plate, crepes- yum. Bummed that my fav, seafood Risotto, it's only offered as a special occasionally now. Super nice staff and very attentive, knowledgeable owner!

I had always assumed this bistro was pretentious but nothing could be further from the truth. Our intended restaurant closed early so we walked across the street to Bistro St. Germain. Even though it was due to close in ten minutes, they seated us and allowed us to order a lunch special in the evening. So kind and friendly, we love the service here but come for the food which is French and Italian made properly.

This is now our favorite evening restaurant in Seal Beach. The lasagna and the chicken sandwich are the best so far, but there are many other interesting items on the menu we have not tried yet. The standard of cuisine on Main Street is very high with The Crema and Beachwood BBQ among others, but this bistro can hold its own here.

Even during the COVID-19 crisis they have plenty of outside seating so you can be socially responsible while enjoying wonderful food and service. Considering we are only two blocks from the beach, the prices are very reasonable.

Great wine. After months in search of a nice glass of wine, this was the place that got every single thing right.. including the great wine. What seem to be owners, as well as the staff were all friendly and attentive.

Great little restaurant in Seal Beach. We had a birthday party there and almost took over the place. The waiters did a great job handling all our orders as people arrived at different times. Food was excellent and plenty.

Love this place. They have the best appetizers in Seal Beach on Main St. period. They're half price during happy hour. Had the lamb lollipops, beef bourguignon, and baked cheese with honey. They have plenty more to choose from as well. Also, $2 off a glass of wine, and I believe 1/2 off craft beers. Check this place out!

Small local restaurant that makes french dishes that one would expect from a much fancier place. It's good french cuisine without the pretension.

The escargot and duck breasts are delicious. Especially the escargot, it's not easy the prepare them to be so tender. The garlic and butter elevated the escargots into an even bigger level.

The duck breast had a good crisp on the skin, and tender in the meat. The sauce that came with the duck had the right amount of savory flavor to highlight the duck.

Great atmosphere and great service! We will definitely go back again even though my chicken dish was overcooked the owner/manager insisted on remaking it and came to us to apologize and tried to comp our whole meal ! We insisted on paying for our other dish and drinks but he insisted on free dessert. We love eating out in Seal Beach and had never tried this place for dinner ! Small place and can get noisy but worth it!

Nice! little stop in Seal Beach CA. Flavorful foods. Wines are spot on everytime we stop in. Good brew taps. The happy hour is a must with generous price deductions across the board that's the hook. Beef Borgenuon is as good as it gets.

This place rocks. The atmosphere was great even for a table of 1. The waiter played the part of French host very well and was extremely accommodating. He paired my wine with my meal nicely and the food was top notch. I enjoyed the duck and the custard for dessert. I would recommend this place for locals and travelers alike.

I go to this unique restaurant once a month because I love the good mood that is part of this restaurant. The team is extremely welcoming and qualified. The service is remarkablywonderfully rapid. Also, the food you get is magnificent. I have been there more than once and I was never disappointed. The payment is modest. I highly recommend this place to to everybody.

Really nice, tasty salmon dish and such great customer service. Went near closing time so it wasn't too packed but the workers are super nice and manager is very friendly. Great french restaurant with nice entertainment. Really good family spot or even a nice hangout spot for friends. Offers a bar with television view (don't drink so cant really rate this part) but bar looks well stocked.

It was my first time walking around Seal Beach and I was with my best friend. We were actually planning on going to Crema Cafe, but we were told that the wait time was 40min+ even though we saw empty tables. So we took a stroll down the street and found Bistro St Germain on the corner. We were delighted with the inviting interior and quietness inside. My friend spotted something tasty to eat on the menu so we decided to have our brunch here.

Service and food were A++. I had the Bistro St Germain burger and my friend had the Jardiniere crepe. My burger was succulent and well-built. My friend couldn't stop raving about this crepe and decided it was the best crepe she ever had. She even asked our waiter if the chef was French to confirm her suspicion, and it was true.

Atmosphere was just perfect for a Sunday brunch, serene and bubbly. When we think of Seal Beach, we'll always be thinking about this place now.
