Don't come here expecting professors to actually have any education. Had several professors constantly making grading errors as well as grammatical errors in their text. They seem to let anyone teach here. Also the website is horrible to navigate. You cannot find what you need and if you try and call that just leads to you having to wait on hold and call more phone numbers as you get redirected.
Tried to email a question I had concerning my financial aid and got no response for 4 weeks. A friend of mine had a similar experience.

I Have had to drop my classes so many times because there was always a problem getting started with them I was told to drop them because it would be best to start in the spring and I can't even do that, I haven't even started college yet because I can barely talk to anyone there. I literally can NEVER get anyone that can help me fully on the phone.

I've never had a problem at SCC until Covid 19 its impossible to talk to anyone, and recieve any help. Ridiculous you don't even know when you're going to get a call from an advisor. I guess you're supposed to just sit and wait all day.

Great place to vote with places to sit along the way while in line.

I've attended here two years so far and, *overall,* I'm liking it.
The cons? 1) the campus buildings are too spread out, 2) nobody tells you anything about anything (e.g. campus events, how to get a parking tag, etc) and oftentimes the information you're given is contradicted by another staff member, 3) I'm in PTK and wish this group was more active. As far as I know, we don't do anything as a group. I also wasn't informed of the induction ceremony, so I didn't get to go, 4) the financial aid office are outlandishly rude.
I pay for everything out of pocket, but occasionally have questions. Their answer? Throwing a flyer in your face while calling, NEXT! They also give me attitude about not using their loan service. Why? I pay them upfront! I go in circles with them every six months about this and they always have such snark. Lose. The. Attitude! These staff members almost made me quit!

My daughter and several others I know of have attending SCCC and were not disappointed in the education they received. Not to mention the money they saved when navigating the college choices. Smart to start here.
IN addition to all the extra classes they have available to everyone that would like to advance their learning at any level.

The school is great but Google maps took me the worst possible parking lot that was away from the main buildings, that's all I have to say lol
