Best high school to which I could have ever attended. I went to St. Joe (on Boling St.) Before changing to St. A.'S, & I only wish it had happened sooner. Plus, it made college a BREEZE!
If your child is a quick study, this might be a great match. The level of homework assigned has a tendency to push memorization over actually learning the material. Three grandchildren have gone there in the past. Their parents pulled two out in middle school so they could have a life outside of school.
St. Andrew's Episcopal School offers a very challenging curriculum with an extremely well rounded approach to the real world. We could be no more pleased with a school for our children to attend. Our children could be no more pleased.
I graduated alpha omega from St.Andrew's in 2014. It is a very difficult school providing the best education in Mississippi. I now attend MSU, and I think SA prepared me well for college. However, this school was tough. It has very rigorous courses, extremely time consuming, and very little time for outside activities. They give NO simpathy when it comes to outside activities/sports/jobs taking up time. Some teachers can be biased on homework and tests, and the load work takes a minimum of 4 hrs a day outside of school. I would say if your kids can handle the pressure of this lifestyle, it can be very beneficial.
