Squealer's Barbeque Review

Great food every time! Great lunch and daily specials. This is real BBQ!!! I've been coming to Squealers for years and have never been disappointed. They also have a rewards program!

I want to give this place 5 stars but unfortunately the service in the main dining area is not great. If you sit in the bar area if you have the right ladies working you get excellent service. I still need to try the all you can eat pork on fridays.

We had the pulled pork, chicken and brisket. All were excellent.

Bad. Bad. Bad. If there were zero stars I would rate zero.

Went there to celebrate a birthday. This was a complete and perfect storm of terrible. Sat down at 7:30 and by 9:00 only 2 of our party had food. It took another half hour to get most of the other dinners. The servers had no idea who ordered what. They stood in the middle of the restaurant and called out dinners. One person ordered a ribeye and was presented with a sirloin. At that point we were so hungry that we didn't care that all of the orders were wrong.

Most of the servers were rude, but there was one that tried to help. The food was terrible. The ribs were fatty, the food wasn't even warm. I wish that we had a good experience....but this was the worst dining experience of my life. Don't make the same mistake. Stay away.

The Best barbecue restaurant in Indianapolis hands down. i love the pick 3 Meat Dinner Platter. Amazing rib tips, beef brisket, and bbq pulled pork!

Fantastic place. I'm always a fan of local digs rather than national chains. I've been coming here for years, but with that said its been awhile. Nothing has changed and that makes me happy. You have the choice of dinning room or bar for seating. Lots of places to sit, so usually not a long wait at all. Once seated our server was immediately there to take our drink order. To give us time to browse over the menu we started with the BBQ nachos. We opted for the regular instead of deluxe with lettuce, & onion. They have three sauce options: Sweet, hot, or mixed. For the nachos we went with sweet. When they came out it made my heart happy. They had real melted cheese (not that liquid nacho stuff) drenched in BBQ and pulled pork. So yummy...in fact I enjoyed them so much that I'm now sad they're gone. For my main lunch dish I went with the Squealers Favorite. Pulled pork sandwich topped with coleslaw. For the sauce this time I went with the mixed. For a small up charge I changed the chips out for onion rings. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was delicious. The mixed sauce was spicier than I expected but still likes it. Nothing wrong with a little kick. The onion rings were tasty too. Our drinks never went empty and our server was nice and had a nice personality. For dessert we went with pumpkin cheesecake. It was tasty.

Brisket was dry and tough.

Wow. This place is great. Originally ordered through Grub Hub wich left our food sitting there for over an hour. Went to pick it up myself, and they were apologetic even though it was NOT their fault. They even made my order again fresh even though it was 2 minutes to closing. The food tasted great as well.

We went back a couple of days ago. The food was awlful. We used the online service and went to pick up the food. The food was old and barely warm .I called the next day and they basically gave me the round around will not return my call. We were celebrating our 24th anniversary and I was embarrassed.

Some of the best barbecue I've ever had in my life.

If you like dry BBQ thats stringy and needs a heavy sauce to moisten it thats also had liquid smoke put on it - you need to get outta Indiana more. Then there are the fried el cheapo biscuits... The sides coulda came right out of a box of Stouffers frozen whatever, especially the watery mac n cheese. This aint real Q y'all!

Best barbeque ever!! Been coming here for 15+yrs always spot on! We travel for work been to them all over the country, Squealers holds their own with the best, who would've thought Indianapolis hot bed of Barbeque?

First time. Pulled pork sandwich. Got the sweet sauce on the side. With baked beans. The pork was not smoked at all. The barbecue had way to much smoke flavoring. The had used the same sauce in the baked beans. All was not worth it. Sad was hoping it was going to be good. Since restaurant is so close.

First time i came here, its was around a year ago and i ordered the baby back ribs and they were amazing... But the last couple times i came back for the same ribs, they become less and less good. And today i came here for the hope that i could try the same award-winning baby back ribs that i tried the first time that i came here.... But todays ribs was HORRIBLE. The worst ribs i ever tasted... The ribs looked 3 days old and it was hard, just like beef jerky, with no flavor what so ever. Im just extremely disappointed

Great atmosphere and food. We always go with the pulled pork or brisket - never disappointed!

Worst customer service ever, one of the bar girls came with a nasty attitude to ask what did we want to order, when asked for napkins she threw them in front of me.

Place was cool, I mean really cool. AC was working overtime. The food was delish and our server, Franklin eas very helpful and entertaining. Would recommend this place.

Not bad BBQ. Not the best in town but it hit the spot.

Pulled pork is the best around. At most places, I tend to prefer the brisket over the pork but Squealers is the exception.
All of their sides are outstanding but I especially enjoy their green beans and mac-n-cheese.
They also have a great selection of beers both draft and bottled.
With a friendly, experienced staff, you're going to enjoy your visit more than the joint down the road.

Food was good... but the Grilled Tenderloin was paper thin! And very Pricey!

My Wife and I stopped in for a late lunch and we're seated right away. Our Waitress did a great job taking care of us. We didn't have to wait long for our meal. I got the char chicken and she got some baby back ribs. All was very tasty, even all four sides were very good. We had some left over to take home.
We've been here before and got the BBQ and it was delicious.

Love this place for authentic barbeque with no fuss. The meat and BBQ sauce was so high quality. Their cobbler is homemade and AMAZING! Would definitely recommend if you're in Indianapolis

The fried biscuits and apple butter are amazing and unique, bbq is flavorful and cooked to perfection and the service was very good!! I would definitely recommend this place!

Yesterday was my first time eating food from Squealers. I liked it! I ordered online, and went in to pick up my order. The young ladies at the register where nice, and had my order ready. I had the Giant Tenderloin, and Giant is correct! It was really good. I had onions, mayo and ketchup on mine, next time I need lettuce and tomato too. The O rings where very good as well, one note if your ordering them to go they will get soggy in the to go box. Can't wait to try something else!!

Take that apple sauce they give you an put it on that biscuit !!! As a trucker i been alot places all i can hope is to come back !!

Some of the best BBQ available in Indianapolis. I am especially fond of the Tuesday, half smoked chicken, lunch special. The spuds are another popular choice. The service is usually quick and polite.

Was in town visiting with a group of friends. Me and my King got the beef brisket sandwich and the BBQ wings. The wings and brisket had no flavor. They tasted as if they put bbq sauce on unseasoned food. Doubt if I'll visit again

Great food and a relaxed atmosphere. In town for a soccer tournament and found this near our hotel. Fried biscuits and apple butter was a nice add to the meal.

Not from Indianapolis area. Was looking for a place to eat and found this gem. Best BBQ ive encountered on the road away from Ohio. Brisket, pulled pork, smoked wings were cooked to succulent perfection. Their BBQ sauces are seriously on point. Biscuits were light and fluffy and delicious, served with fresh apple butter on the side. Do yourself a favor, if in the Indianapolis area, and you consider yourself a BBQ afficianato, bring your appetite and experience the friendly staff and abundant portions of Squealer's BBQ. You will not be disappointed.

The pulled pork sandwich. The speed at which I ate this thing... To say I merely 'ate' it doesn't quite tell you what transpired. No, I *consumed* this sandwich. I became one with the pulled pork. Do recommend.

I have been here many, many times since I started working near here around 8 years ago. The BBQ is delicious. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Managers are always on the floor and visible. The atmosphere is pleasant. I usually like to get their pulled pork dinner and some fried pickles. The pickles are uniquely thick and flavorful. If you like fried pickles, they are a must try!

Better&cheaper than Famous Dave's, but still too expensive.

Delicious food especially if barbecue is your thing! Friendly people.

Pretty good a little bit expensive but it's worth it

Everything went wrong except for the food being above average.

1) We did not see a server for nearly 10 minutes after sitting down, and then our drinks did not arrive for another almsot 10 minutes.

2) I was advised they were out of the spuds, and expected to order something else while our lackadaisical server didn't bring back a menu, or seem to care about, well really anything.

3) When our food arrived, we still did not have silverware. We asked for them. It took 5 mintues and asking THREE different people until one of the other servers, who actually was good at her job, went and got it for us. I didn't get her name but thank you!

4) Drink refills. White gal with bleach bond hair looking like Christina Aguilera in lady marmalade video who was our server was ATROCIOUS. You should not be a server if you can't refill drinks, timely get things your tables need, etc. Also, try showing literally any personality or facial expression and at least pretend you care.

If the managers read this, fire that girl.

6) To top it off, when I went to use the restroom 10 minutes before 8pm(close) they had already blocked/closed it off and there where bags of trash in the hallway. Unprofessional.

I won't go back.

Squealer's has some of the best barbecued food a person could ask for. I have tried many of the different items on the menu and I haven't been disappointed yet. The ribs are some of the best ribs I've ever had and the pulled pork is never a let down either. If you are in mood for some barbecue then this place is worth checking out!
