Love this place! Great place to snowboard especially for military members!
Beautiful scenery, historic, great staff, shopping, restaurants & year round activities..
Definitely a rustic feel. Very clean. However no Air Conditioning....
Everything you need for an awesome ski trip is here
Beautiful place, but the service at these places is no good. I was there as an athlete and was treated poorly. It's like just because I wasn't in an expensive snowsuit, I didn't matter. Those people need to remember that anyone who is staying there is the reason they get a paycheck.
Yummy !! Convenient & masterly hand crafted pizza! Staffs awesome!!
We had a great day hiking and enjoyed the tram ride up and back from High Camp. Also we had a great lunch in the restaurant.
Close to the mountain but their a much better resort near it (15 minutes away ) that is a bit cheaper but slightly better in quality
Even in the off season was a wonderful place to visit. Hope to come back in the winter!
After rediscovering the BayAreaSki Bus.. I started doing day trips to Squaw again. It's a nice resort, good food options, lots of runs and helpful staff. Great place to snowboard. Especially if you are lucky enough to catch some powder off Broken Arrow.
Easy rental options and demo shops for those without their own equipment.
Expect to pay $12 for a cocktail. Roughly $12 for lunch. The lower food options are better than what you'll find in the upper mountain.
Great place for the family.
Small weekend getaway, rented a house, good shopping, wells.drinks pricey.
Plenty of runs, multiple choices even with less than ideal conditions.
Another epic day slaying the heavy pow. Just outstanding conditions.
Absolutley beautiful, friendly atmosphere, and great food and drinks at the base!
Dave's deli always prepared with food and great service.
This place is huge. I've taken classes and they were a great experience. Staff is friendly and the runs are long. Long runs are a definite plus and the village has alot of different foods.
Beautiful. It snowed and was serene and incredible.
The village is like a smaller version of Whistler village. Very nice atmosphere.
Great location but theage of the hotel shows. They need to renovate
How could you not love it? Epic Tahoe mountain with world class terrain in bounds and amazing views.
Great spot for skiing/boarding. Downsides are the many traverses and flat areas, and massive crowds. Still definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
The best ski resort in the Tahoe area. The management has started to over sell tickets and season passes. Expect long lines and full parking lots on weekends.
Great shopping, breath taking views, good for families.
They got my money. Closed the chairlifts due to virus?
Very clean, nice jacuzzi.Friendly, helpful staff.Nice place to stay!! Visited the historical chapel, from the 1960 Olympics.Nice service.
Great resort. Really big, but has very advanced terrain. Would not recommend for beginners
Squaw is a terrific experience for service and value. The kids ski school is just terrific--super supportive and patient. Everyone consistently makes us feel welcome and valued as customers, and the overall value is strong.
The company is investing heavily and creatively in development partnerships to solve parking, transit and other area problems in sustainable ways, and the management team is really knocking it out of the park in operations and communications to customers this year, despite enormous challenges from record snowfall.
Nice place to spend a day with friends and family. Not too many tourist. Very nice view. Highly recommended.
The skiing here can be phenomenal. Variety of terrain, elevation, snow - it's all here. The price for such extravagance is that Squaw attracts a huge crowd. The parking lot is huge, and it fills up, spilling over onto the access road. On my most recent visit, the lines were long even for a Sunday (7-12 minutes, which is long for this day and age) and here at Squaw, they generally leave it to the skiers to self-regulate the lines, which *most* people do. After all these years, I am surprised they still do not have a shuttle to get people across the treacherously icy parking lot. Know what you are getting yourself into, and you will have a great time here!
The proving ground for the best riders in the west!
Phenomenal! Amazing slopes, great trails and awesome powder! It is my new go-to for all my snow sports this season and hopefully far into the future! Thank you for all the effort put into making squaw as enjoyable as possible!
Room was nice, good size and bed was comfortable... Location is great... Right next to lifts if you're sking. Staff was friendly. Could use more to the fitness area and hot tub are was not impressive, but it was snowing so, but if you're in the building and not outside in the snow or nature... You went to squaw valley for the wrong reason. All in all had a awesome stay.
Some of the most varied terrain around, especially since they connected with Alpine. Granite Chief is my favorite area to ski. Just hope the snow conditions improve. Good thing the Olympics were not held in Tahoe this year.
Great but lines in lifts means you end up paying 20 per run
Huge resort with plenty of options for every level. Parking fills up fast though and parking offsite can be a pain. Several food and drink options in the village, too.
The best place to enjoy the landscape changes of the seasons. In winter it is a splendid site
We had no new snow, but the terrain is awesome. Sun and fun. Highly recommend it skiing here if you can afford it it.
A steeper and larger ski resort on Lake Tahoe, Squaw offers a mixture of chair, gondola, and tram access to the snow. With several harder terrain options, many prefer Squaw for it's difficulty. Others prefer the abundance of high speed chairs, moderate terrain, and village atmosphere.
Gorgeous views of the valley. Free bike rentals. Great hikes and biking trails.
Either pay $100 or so there or $97 for 12:30 time in. I highly suggest to buy it online for a slight bit more discount so your time would be more worth it.
Taking the gondolas up you will be able to start your adventures. There were tons of different lifts going to different part of the mountains. Sadly though there were some very FLAT areas which is very difficult for boarders so gotta learn to shimmy your body or if your new, just take off them bindings!
Lift tickets may cost over an arm and leg but the runs are quite long, but watch out for your last run around 4pm ...There is tons and tons of moguls so watch out for them and skiers!
Great resort, and needs to be with the lift prices set at $139.
Awesome the rooms are nice and they have their own mini mall.
Absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous views and the employees were very helpful. I wasn't able to ski because of an injury but the others in are group enjoyed the trails
Interesting to read the reviews of others who had similar experiences. The resort seemed short staffed and they closed down lifts frequently during our stay due to "high winds". When I asked staff why all the upper lifts were closed, I got a insulting response "are you a lift engineer?"
Extremely poor customer service and attitude!
Lovely place to stay! The safe is very nice and accommodating. You walk outside and you are at the lifts and village.
It's a quiet secluded place away from tahoe and the hustle of truckee and battling people you can go to the valley of squaw and not have any need to leave every amenity is there for you
Been going here for 40 + years. It's amazing how it's grown.
Stunning natural beauty and the best customer service make Squaw Valley a place you'll want to return to again and again and again. Everyone, from the ticketing staff, the ski rental/demo staff, the lift operators and the ski patrol have been exceedingly friendly and genuinely helpful. We truly feel welcome every time we come to Squaw Valley Resort. This is the happiest place on Earth, not that other place in southern California.
You can visit Squaw Valley all year round not just for skiing great restaurants good hikes
World class resort, gigantic area, with enormous options of pistes, excelent service and places to eat / rent / enjoy. From beginners to advanced skiers, all levels will enjoy the place.
Great terrain! Good ski/snowboard programs. Decent restaurants and non-ski options in the village, but it's lags behind Northstar. Overall, our family's go-to resort in the Tahoe area.
The food was okay, but the wait here for the meal was about 45 minutes for some reason.
Magical! One word to describe this place I will be back. Everyone should go at least once
