My family and I have come here many times over the years. The food has always been good, and the service exceptional. Not after Saturday evening. Listening to how one waiter berates another and is openly hostile to his coworkers, and how management does nothing to diffuse the situation. I bring my family out to eat to relax, not wonder if we're going to get hit with a plate.

We have frequented this restaurant twice. The first time in 2018 during the holiday season. We were vastly disappointed. We figured we would give it a second chance and see if it had improved. It hasn't. Everything about the place screams outdated- from the decor to the smell. We can put that aside however and talk about what matters most: the food. I ordered the veal parmigiana, my wife ordered the baked scrod and mashed potatos. Kids ordered pizza and a burger. My veal parm was basically a sea of cheese and (canned) sauce smothering the overcooked veal. The burger was a flavorless overcooked frozen patty. My son took one bite and couldn't finish. The pizza tasted worse than the square pizzas you buy in the frozen section of the market. The scrod was so overcooked it was rubbery, and the accompanying reheated frozen mashed potatoes tasted like garlic with a side of reheated frozen potatoes.

I normally try very hard to find one decent thing about a new place- this had nothing. The waitress was friendly enough but getting her to our table was a task in and of itself.

I will also mention that this is not a place that seems to be frequented by an ethnically diverse population.

This place will never be frequented by myself or my family again. Extremely disappointed doesn't even cover it.

#1 best Fettucini Alfredo I've ever tasted Didn't receive utensils with my to-go order, and I wish they'd automatically put dressing on the side as my salad was soggy by the time it arrived

The atmosphere is great, and their food is delicious, the waiters are very friendly. But the wait time is awful from the moment you sit down to the time you actually get your food is way too long.

Not a fan. Creamy italian dressing tasted like mayo. Lasagna seemed to have chunks of ground beef in it, it reminded me of a broken up pre-cooked hamburger. My biggest peeve was Pinot Grigio was part of a special but was no longer served, but still on the menu. I had to settle for a Merlot. I won't be back anytime soon.

The good: craft beer on the menu, had the Ravenous, was excellent and was served in a cold glass. Bread was fresh and delicious. Entree was tasty, but pasta was not fresh cooked but reheated (nuked) and was slightly over cooked. Service is quick and friendly. Prices very reasonable.
The not so good: upon entering the building there was an unknown odor near the host station. But it disappeared on the way to the table. There was a fly that kept flying around the table while there. While reaching for the bread noticed a fruit fly on it. Salad arrived with oil and vinegar as requested. Noticed things floating around in the vinegar.
It is somewhat dark and dank inside the restaurant.
The Verdict: not going back any time soon.

Prices are good, staff is very good, but food is hit or miss. Specifically, any dish with meatballs or the mix of whatever they use to make meatballs. I've been there twice, had the meatballs and Italian sausage the first time. The sausage was very good, the meatballs fell below the level of cheap frozen meatballs. The second time I avoided the meatballs and ordered the lasagne, made with Italian sausage, it was very good, except for the meat paste used in the layers. The waiter explained that they used the meatball mix, then added ground Italian sausage. That's not what it said on the menu! I wouldn't have ordered it had I known the meatball mix was in it. The tasty Italian sausage was entirely lost in the meat mix. This restaurant hinges on Italian food, it's been in business for decades, why cheap out on the meatball mix?

I was told that their customers love the meatballs. Sadly, people get used to almost anything. Frogs in a pot are happy to be there and never notice as the water comes to a boil.

Calamari was rubber on withered lettuce leaves, the salad was bagged dole from stop and shop, had to smother everything in the tableside shaker cheese, marinara sauce was canned, and the chicken had no seasoning. If you are willing to sacrifice taste for dinner then this is your place. Also the front entry way smells like urine.

Have been enjoying this place for many years. Staple, Italian American food. Pizza is also pretty good. Similar to Olive Garden but, in my opinion better. The Italian bread is very authentic. Chewy crust tender inside.
