After being at SPT for a few years, I can say it is a great place to work. It has some demanding hours, but effort does not go unnoticed. There has been recent changes in management, and change can be a difficult thing for many, but there are good managers in place trying to move the business forward with good processes and in a customer focused mind set. There are many great opportunities on the horizon for its customers and employees.

I am a very happy long time employee at SPT. Each year, I can see the management team making positive changes like installing a fitness center so employees can work out and improve their wellness. They have bought a bunch of new machines to improve quality. SPT offers great benefits like 4 medical plans and 2 dental plans. They also have a 401k plan that basically over matches what the employee puts in. A few previous bad reviews below make SPT sound like a bad place to work but I'd ask around. Plant has been in Etown for 50+ years bringing hundreds of jobs to the area.

As a 15 year employee of SPT, I saw the very negative reviews and felt compelled to respond. No place you work will ever be perfect, and SPT has its flaws...but the negatives are greatly outweighed by the positives. SPT employs several hundred people from the Bladen county area, providing jobs that have excellent benefits. With just a little motivation, patience, and hard work, you can certainly find opportunities to grow your career here.

I would also strongly caution anyone reading the negative reviews to ask: 1) Do I trust a review making wild claims, but the author doesn't put their name on the review?, and 2) Do I trust a review from someone who has not worked for this company? Again, I have worked here 15 years, and I am proud to put my name on this review.
