Went through the interview process for almost two ...
Went through the interview process for almost two months. At first they were very responsive, quick to set up initial phone conversations and interviews. Then after the first in-person interview, it was very hard to communicate or get any feedback.
Then came the second in-person interview, we ended up going to get a pedicure. Yes, a pedicure. It was awkward, and unprofessional. I went along because, hey, it s a job interview and maybe it was a way to gauge my flexibility in situations.
They then invited me to Tulsa for an interview at their home office, which was a 2 hour drive each way. They spent an hour with me, no tour of the office and both of the interviewers were very rushed. One left in the middle of the interview, the other had their laptop in front of them answering emails the entire time. I left for my two hour drive home feeling so confused.
Overall, every interaction was very peculiar. Always the same questions: What kind of jobs are you looking at? Any other interviews? . Like they weren t interviewing me for their position.
So, after all this, I get an EMAIL. Not a call, an email saying that they appreciated my time but they are moving forward with other candidates. Which is fine, nothing I haven t heard before during a job search. Happens to everyone.
I replied with a thank you for the opportunity and requested some additional feedback for future interviews. After all, we had spent so much time together. CRICKETS. I never heard from them again.
Hopefully my experience was not common, because that would be sad. They are supposed to be a professional recruiting service. I certainly hope they can improve their process in future.
