Please be careful working with this company. When you do, be aware you are dealing with 20 year old that has no idea about trucking industry. MATTHEW MEDLAND and THEO MASCARI the whole business is build on lies. They are very rude, unprofessional with poor moral ethics. Management should take closer look at their work ethics so it doesn t reflect negatively on the company.

I don't see where people think this broker is good to work with. I used them for a load and their shipper appointment was 6 hours earlier than what the shipper said. Spot Logistics didn't have a good telephone number to the shipper and wasn't willing to find a way to contact the shipper and wouldn't give a straight answer about paying detention. Plenty of quality brokers out there and Spot Logistics is not one of them. We'll never use them again.
I was stuck 2 days at a PEPSICO delivery brokered by SPOT.
It was a mistake that cost me business but they did admit they were wrong & paid me layover and detention.
I would suggest every verbal agreement you make with SPOT to be stated on rate confirmation.
A broker who we do business a lot with, have always paid us on time without any problems. Andrew E. and his team at SPOT are great to work with, thank you for the business thus far.

THEY HIRE US TO HAUL TEAM FREIGHT FROM IL TO TX, THEY LOAD THE TRUCK 6 HOURS LATE, AND MY GUYS WAS ABLE NOT ONLY TO MAKE UP THEIR TIME FOR LOADING THE TRUCK LATE, BUT INSTEAD ARRIVING ON TIME THEY ARRIVED EVEN 3 HOURS EARLIER, AFTER WE GOT EMPTY INSTEAD OF BEING THANKFUL, THEY WANTED TO REDUCE THE RATE AND THEY PUT US ON DO NOT USE BLAIMING THAT WE USED SINGLE DRIVER AND THE FREIGHT WAS LATE. WE HAVE CONFIRMATION FOR DELIVERY 11 AM, AND TIME STAMP FOR FREIGHT RECEIVED THAT SAME DAY AT 8 AM. LOW BALL COMPANY, VERY UNPROFFESIONAL! BE AWARE WHEN YOU BOOK LOADS WITH THEM BECAUSE MOST LIKELY AFTER YOU DELIVER THEY WILL TRY TO FIND A WAY TO CUT YOUR RATE EVEN THAT YOU DID YOUR JOB AND SAVED THEIR ACCOUNT WHEN THE SHIPPER SCREW UP AND TOOK THEM 6 HOURS TO LOAD A TRUCK!

Very unprofessional broke, very dishonest people, booking a load as a live load, then it is required to drop trailer at delivery for 24 hours, and refusing to pay any detention. Will never do a load for them

One of the worst companies you could deal with. They lie about appointment times and they don't pay you detention. My truck was set to deliver on Friday morning but he didn't deliver till Monday and we still haven't got paid for it.
Bad experience working with spot ,when time came to detention they make very complicate,to do this and to do that,this is not good, I am unable to process this request ,basically they don t want to pay detention ,also they have a tracking system.so carrier don t waste your time
We work with this broker for long time and everybody is friendly and knowledgeable, we work pretty much everyday and have good communication and hopefully will continue to do more business this year!

Highly recommend working with JSA team for your shipping needs or as a Carrier. Jacob Martz, Steven Serpe and their team are are top notch, very professional, treat carriers fair and they know what they are doing. Not your typical brokers by any means. 5 Stars.
Dead headed my truck 90 miles, we accepted Macropoint tracking as well as 4 tracking updates over 2 hrs , we advised tracking team ETA 12:00 and arrived at 12:05 to shipper - at 11:55 broker says we are off the load they have another truck and refuse to pay TONU I have done much business with spot in the past. But will not be using them to load my trucks from now on. BEWARE!!!

Nice company to work with but, STAY AWAY FROM MATT MEDLAND!! He is very inconsiderate, unprofessional, and not at all understanding!! Matt will trap you with the load and doesn't pay any attention when a problem occurs, he is one of the most stubborn brokers ever. He is running Spot Freight's reputation through the ground in the trucking industry. Spot freight is amazing but, this particular employee has been very rude and has threatened to blacklist our company just because he couldn't get over his stubbornness. Trucks will have problems and so do people, nothing is perfect and clearly Matt does not understand that. He is a horrible person to work with for if things don't go his ways he gives off serious attitude. So, whatever you do, don't book any loads with Matt Medland!!

I am so disappointed of this company Costumer service and the way they talk with Carriers pushing drivers to drive illegally. Booking freight with costumers and providing false information about the load and carrier. They booked loads last minute with Carriers not leaving time for Carrier to delivery on time and pushing drivers yelling on them cursing. Same they calling to dispatchers and cursing yelling at the other company employees. Also black mailing Carriers that they will put a claim on them if freight will be not on time. Even if the driver they booked has to stop to take a break for 10 hours to make sure he is running legal. They taking advantage of carriers move a freight and not pay the rate they agreed with carrier deducting the rate after delivery. Costumers and Carriers must read this to understand what kind of costumer experience they providing they are layers and manipulators. Be aware of them avoid any business with them !!!
Had a horrible experience working with spot. Theo mascari and Matt Medland are extremely unprofessional and rude. Was told by Theo if I remove my google review he would remove his 411 carrier comment- I removed mine he decided to leave his as is.
Only gave them 1 star because I can't give them less. Bunch of liers especially Travis Martin!! You talk about a load being 60 degrees you get to the shipper and it's -11. After talking to him about giving extra pay . And verbally agreeing to it. He lies and now they won't pay you the money. Do not work with them. They are cheats a lies.
Mika Logistics hauled the load for Spot Freight back in 2019. It was a 8 hour transit of returned frozen goods from Aldi in Ofallon, MO to Aldi in Batavia, IL. After the freight was unloaded the receiver claimed the product was out of temperature range. Spot freight setup a cargo claim which was denied by Acuity insurance company backed up by temperature download which was not showing any discrepancy in temperature mode and the fact the BOL was showing the product was a return product. Being not able to prove carriers liability for hauling previously damaged product Spot Freight posted a Freight Guard on Mika Logistics. Stay away from those crooks as they will try to accuse you in false actions even when you do the things right.
SPOT is our regular broker we use every week for our business. They are very reliable and have great communication skils. SPOT brokers are very respectful and understanding in transportation business.
The broker is a lying bastart, low paying and not keeping their word. Was agreed tk compensate for loading over what was agreed, and has not come through with his word. Would not suggest anyone working with them.

Worst group of people I've dealt with nobody have the answers they keep transferring my call.
It's in regards to load I deliver for these guys back in September at U S FOODS perth amboy nj. Receiver gave me paperwork saying subject to count i called the broker he told me to leave and after two months now my payment is still on hold cause they saying there were some cases short and their claims department first told me that U S FOODS have not filed any claim and now they saying that U S FOODS do this all the time just for precaution we holding payment.
Be careful with spot freight they can tell anything after load is delivered.

Disappointed in doing business with them. Provided all of our relevant dispatch info to this broker, to still have them bombard us with calls and emails for the same information already provided. Received numerous phone calls and texts all throughout the day and night despite providing load tracking updates up until delivery. In short, they are not very carrier friendly.
