My name is Allen Duga.. I have spent the 21/4 years recovering from a workplace accident where I crushed my tibia and fibula on top of my left ankle. I have endured six surgeries , a good number of intravenous antibiotic treatments, hyperbaric treatments and one other physical therapy treatment.not to mention the countless number of doctors and nurses along the way trying to save my foot. I didn t win that effort. However I have made it through a successful amputation and prosthetic limb replacement. Today I am learning how to walk naturally again. My Therepy here at Sports Medicine of Atlanta is the final phase of my recovery.When I came here I believed that I was doing it only to cross the t s and dot the i s to finish my treatments. I had a negative experience with the previous physical therapy treatment center. However I kept an an open mind to the fact that maybe they know something I don t. Boy am I glad I did. SMofA is a clinic apart. They perform a thorough assessment of your condition and design a regiment specific to your condition as if you were as important as any great athlete. You will not go wrong choosing these people. EYES UP

Dr. DuVall is literally an expert in his field. The entire staff here is great and I felt that they genuinely cared about me recovering from my injury. While undergoing treatment for an injury sustained in an automobile accident, I was able to work with 3 very knowledgeable interns Jeremy, Lesly, and Lauren, and from my experiences with them I can tell that Dr. DuVall and his practice only accept the best. I was confident in the treatment they and Dr. DuVall prescribed, and liked that throughout the entire process, it was explained to me why a certain treatment was chosen, and how it was helping me. I would definitely recommend sports medicine of atlanta to anyone seeking out a physical therapist.

Dr. D was the ONLY one to correctly identify and correct my daughter's injury. The injury did not occur overnight and it took time to correct, but he said after treatment she would jump higher and be faster than before - and she did.

I have been battling a variety of injuries for years and been to countless different PTs and this is by far one of the best. Dr. Duvall is extremely knowledgable and friendly. He takes time to listen to exactly what the problem that you are having is and addresses any and every concern that you voice. I have gone here countless number of times and have nothing but good things to say, I highly recommend giving this place a try

I was in a auto accident and after experiencing a headache for 5 weeks straight and on the maximum dosage of ibuprofen every single day with no relief i was referred to physical therapy. Within my first 2 visits i had relief and now feel back to normal. I have my health back. The only physical therapy place i will recommend to family and friends!!

This was my 2nd injury that was a success with SMA. While I will never be the same after 2 car accidents (neither were my fault), I do recommend them and if you work hard to get better...you will. The PT interns are so pleasant and Dr. Duvall is very knowledgeable and helpful.
He also worked with me on the cost when I informed him that I could not
afford it long term.

Excellent facility. Dr. Duvall is super. The convinence to schedule appointment after work hour has made a big difference for me. I have been able to follow my treatment regimen with out missing work. I have used this facility for many years and highly recommend it.

Awesome Doctor!

What sold me on Dr. DuVall was the scientific foundation upon which all his treatment recommendations are grounded. He won my Trust to properly diagnose and treat my 12 year old daughter's Achilles problem.

He has AWESOME chair-side skills that won the confidence of my daughter.

Awesome staff. Dr. Duvall knows his stuff. After achillies tendon surgery myself, I am recovering wonderfully ahead of schedule. Great place and people!

Terrible customer service , arrived 4:20 didn t get paperwork to fill out until 5 any appointment was at 5pm . 5:35 I left ,the intern working the desk apologized for the wait . I was a new patient but a littler urgency goes a long way.

Great, they always get me back healthy in a short amount of time (actually better than I was before coming in) and it feels like your at home while you're getting the work to either get better as an athlete or healthier

If I could give zero stars, I would. My appointment was at 11 am this morning. I arrived there at 1103 because I was on the other side of the building. There s another practice and a drug screening place in the same building and when I arrived, no one was around the reception area, so I signed in and sat down. Mind you there was ONLY ONE signature above my name for that day, so I knew they were not busy. At around 1110 an older white lady emerged and had me sign some papers. She was quite unwelcoming and I never got her name, regrettably. She disappears again. I finish with my paperwork and set it on the desk about 10 minutes later and go back to where I was sitting. 15 minutes go by, so I get up and ring the bell again. She walks by and picks up the paperwork without addressing me at all. Meanwhile, there s what appears to be a group of resident doctors standing in the door of an office or exam room also very unwelcoming. I smiled and greeting the young man that I caught eye contact with on the way to set my paperwork on the desk and he just stares at me with a grimace before turning his attention back to the room. I wait another 20 minutes. At this point I have been waiting for almost an hour to be seen. I was pretty frustrated and walk up to ring the bell again. The old lady emerges again from the back and I ask her what was taking so long to be seen and that I was already waiting an hour. If I wasn t going to be seen until 12, I could ve taken a 12 o clock appointment and that I really needed to go about my day. If something was causing the delay then I should ve been informed! She replies that she had no idea that I was waiting this long. I m thinking if you were actually up here doing your job you would ve noticed this. But I sit back down and end up waiting another 10 minutes before I decided to leave. I have NO IDEA what their problem was and I couldn t believe this treatment because the reviews were so good. I don t know if they had a problem with me being black, young, or a service member in the military but I felt incredibly unwanted in this environment. I will never be making an appointment here again and I ll be sure to let all my friends and family know about this practice.

Dr. Robert Duvall has been an amazing physical therapist along with his educated staff with my total knee surgery recovery. He helps reconnect mobility throughout various Kinetics of the body. I ve been through various other physical therapists. He s by far the most connected with physical strengthening and you ll receive personal wisdom with results from your dedication in keeping up with your home exercises. You ll have to call and visit find out the reviews of others opinions. It s worth your time and effort to experience his therapy art for yourself. It s not an easy task you ll have to go through your experience. It s worth the effort when you get mobility back. It will take some time and patience.

So professional and how they do their evaluation never had doctors really take their time to educate and explain what is wrong and was very honest and their very hands on would not go any were else.

Whoa......totally disappointed and mad. Last week made my appointment with an elderly woman whom actually responded " what did you say" when i said good morning....appointment was made for Tuesday 7/16, arrived early fir that same woman to greet me with" yiu should've yelled for me" as i waited at the counter. Filled out a 7 page tutorial for my medical hx. Only to observe 2 employees sit behind the front desk with NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT to me whatsoever. In finality after 30 mins.passed i approached the desk to inquire when ill be seen, they both looked at me and stated, we have no idea, we have not heard from him, we do not know, sorry but we get it.....so
1. Unprofessional on all levels
2. Extreme lack of communication
3. Total disregard for my time
4. No respect or concern
5. Bare minimum work ethic
I Will never go back, never reccomend and never have anything good to say about this practice. I'd fire them all.

They're very caring and knowledgeable not hard to get an appointment and flexible for the therapy appointments. My son had a great outcome and is doing very well!

I found Dr. Duvall s Sports Medicine of Atlanta while I was frustrated with care at a competing facility. I had come to the end of my physical therapy script and my issue had not been resolved. I stopped by and talked with Dr. Duvall who did a free evaluation. Dr. Duvall sent me to an orthopedic doctor who evaluated me to be sure there were no other issues and who gave me a new physical therapy script. Dr. Duvall and his team worked with me until I could walk comfortably again. Their goal is for a functional outcome and is not focused on x weeks of physical therapy. This time I am back at Dr. Duvall s because my other knee is going numb. I first went to a reputable orthopedic to find next steps that would enable me to drive. When my knee goes numb, I cannot feel my foot on the gas pedal. I was referred back to Dr. Duvall for physical therapy. Turns out, what I have is a common problem that wrestlers get and they know how to solve it. This is what I am looking for, a positive outcome in my motor function. I enjoy my time at Dr. Duvall s practice. The exercises they ask me to do are not hard but they are effective.

Dr. Duvall is very patient and knowledgeable of the musculoskeletal system among other things. I have referred my own family to him and he has done a great job helping them recover as well.

This place is the best. I have been able to do things that I haven t been able to do in years because of degenerated disk and arthritis. Dr DuVall and his staff really know what works, caring and professional.

Excellent service & product. Rigid running and dress shoe orthotic inserts I purchased from Dr. DuVall have lasted me 28-years with daily use. Stopped in this week to get fitted for a 2nd pair. Do not waste your money on cheap drugstore or leather orthotics... these inserts have saved my back and health. Highly recommend Dr. DuVall and SMA.

Great team! These folks got my son back to running very quickly.

Injured my knee training before a hiking trip to the southern alps - Dr. DuVall got me in two weeks before the hike, brilliantly diagnosed the problem, fitted me with new advanced orthotics and started treatment. Amazing results - I am able to go Alpine backpacking without pain. Well done!!

Dr. DuVall is an excellent clinician. His knowledge and expertise is phenomenal, without it Daryl would have been totally wheelchair dependent. The care and compassion shown is genuine, the entire staff work as a team with the patient as the priority. I would highly recommend Dr. DuVall and his team.

Fantastic staff. The most experienced and friendly team I ve ever worked with. I have been in athletics the last 20 years, from youth through college baseball. I coach now as a hobby for a local high school and injured my lower back trying to be a bit younger than I am. Dr. Duvall and his staff have done an excellent job and I feel much better!
