Good bar to watch the Bears game every Sunday - free sewer shots each time the Bears score a TD is nice. Crowd can be a bit towny, but what do you expect? Service people are great and personable

My fiance and I went there for a drink and a cockroach ran up to my fiance's beer not once but twice. The bartender heard us talking about and got the owner. He came over and said, "So I heard you met my little friends" and that was it. They didn't even give us our couple b
eers for free. That place is disgusting! Don't go there unless you want to meet the owner's "little friends". They should get shut down.

Was looking forward to trying the wing special on a Monday night. Walked in around 6:30pm, the place was empty. Got escorted out due to only being twenty years old. Didn't know you needed to be of age to sit in a booth and drink a coke. It's too bad, lose of business on their part.

About what one would expect from a bar. Greasy, to much salt, something the drunks won't care about.

Traditional sports bar. A bit worn down, but good food and drink with decent number of monitors. A few games as well.

Nice neighborhood bar located in an inline retail center. It wasn't quite what I expected when I walked in. Older and homier than what I was expecting, but still a good feel to the place. Lots of TVs and real dart lanes!

My parents have been raving about this place for months now. Reminds me of a cross between a sports bar and Wisconsin tavern. The median age of the people at the bar is probably around 50 ... a lot of blue hairs present. We went on a Friday night and it got pretty loud in the booths/tables next to the dart boards. Don't remember seeing non-digital dart boards ... have to count/ record your own scores and hits. While quaint, I don't think the tallies would stay correct for very long ... booze + darts + math = no bueno.
Food is OK? I'd echo another's comment that the fish fry looks like a bunch of frozen fish patties and have a weird texture to the breading? If you want amazing fish fry, head north of the Cheddar Curtain - we have them from border to lake and everywhere in between.
My parents DO love their broasted chicken though! They swear it's almost as good as a place up in Rome/Nekoosa, Wisconsin called Friar Tuck's. FTs is good enough that they have often considered a three-plus hour drive (one way) for a meal. I've often thought about calling to see if I could get some cluckers shipped direct but, unless those birds can shed their crusty coatings to fly down, yeah ... not gonna happen.
Going back to Splinter's ... it's in a strip mall (don't judge) and almost next door to Caputo's? They advertise themselves as a sports bar but their mascot is a cowboy ... with a beer in one hand and a burger in the other ... maybe they're Dallas fans?
