I went here to see the Supernatural exhibit with my girlfriend. We walked in and this lady directed us to the register. We when to the cashier and she asked if we were there for the museum and we said yes we are. She told us where the art was and we were on our way. We did have trouble finding the exhibit but after asking a worker for directions, we knew where to go. We walked to the second floor where we saw part of the exhibit. It was nice although not really what I was expecting. So we went to floor three because this exhibit was hosted on two floors. As we approached the entrance this older lady stopped us and asked if we had green wrist bands. We were confused and said no. (I would like to add that we were NEVER told by ANY employee about buying green wrist bands for the exhibit prior to this old lady telling us). She then asked us if we are from Louisville to which we also said no. This witch of a lady then proceeds to roll her eyes. I'm sorry sweetheart but Louisville is NOT at the center of the universe. It really rubbed us the wrong way and so we left. Another thing I'd like to mention is how many workers were standing around with their faces in there phones. They did not even care if people walked by they just kept at their phones. It was very unprofessional and a disappointing experience. I would encourage the manager to take this matter up with the employees so they can do better.

Such a marvelous art museum! I had heard good things, but I had tempered expectations from visiting other smaller art museums. The Speed did not disappoint. They had a wonderfully varied collection and their Kentucky section was super cool. It is definitely worth a stop to soak in some culture. The parking garage was right near it, and they even have a good selection of souvenirs.

Promise, Witness and Remembrance exhibit is worth the drive here. If you have an interest in opening your eyes to the place race plays in America this exhibition will serve you. The artistic works stand on their own and together make a statement. Free on Sunday this year for this exhibition and most of the museum.

Beautiful museum, well organized and curated. I became a member recently and am happy with my choice. The Remembrance show was great (April 2021). Friendly staff. Parking was easy.

In these COVID pandemic times, it was easy to maintain physical distance as the museum is spacious and not at all cluttered with too many artworks and objects.
