UPDATE - Spoke to the aftersales manager who offered a free service, 3 VM MESSAGES LATER - NO RESPONSE!!! SAYS IT ALL!!!
Shockingly bad service, avoid at all cost!!
I booked my car in for a service here, had to wait over 2 weeks as I needed a courtesy car. The night before I got a phone call advising they weren't sure if they had a courtesy car for me after all!! Had to call at 8.30 on the day to check!! Anyway, I took my car in for the service, was advised that luckily for me the car only needed a minor service and the air-con regassed. That evening I got a call advising that all the work had been carried out but they couldn't release the car to me as it was a recall for the EGR and was dangerous to drive. Was advised that the works would take approximately a week and I would be given a hire car in the meantime. Received a call from BMW head office about 30 minutes later and was advised the works would take approx. 3 months and they would pay for a hire car, all was arranged for me to drop off the courtesy car and pick up the hire car the next day.
After 4 weeks and no communication at all, I get a call whilst on holiday in Spain, no message was left. I tried to call back, no answer, tried the next day, again no answer.
I finally managed to get through the day I returned from holiday and was advised that the part was due in on the Monday and I would be able to collect the car within 48 hours. Great I thought!! Monday passed and then the 48 hours too. Tried to call for an update and again no answer!!!! After 4 tries and leaving messages with no response, I finally tried calling sales and lo and behold there was an answer after the first ring!!! They also could not get through to servicing and so after leaving 3 messages and calling 5 times I managed to get through to one of the technicians who asked what work I was waiting on!!!! Advised I am waiting to confirm what stage my car is at and was told that no delivery of parts was received and they weren't aware of any!!!! They had no idea when my car would be ready.
At this point I haven't had my car for over 5 weeks so I tried again to get some answers, managed to get through to someone in the office who advised me she would look into things and come back to me. An hour or so later she called back to advise that my car had been ready for 12 days, the paperwork had been sat on someones desk who was off sick!!!! When I advised that I couldn't pick the car up for 3 days due to work, she said that there may be costs incurred for the extra couple of days hire car!!!!!!!! I told her under no circumstances am I paying a penny as my car has been ready for 12 days and could have been collected at the weekend but due to their incompetence they will now have to wait for me!!!!
Finally after 6 weeks I go to collect my beautiful car, I was looking forward to getting a nice clean, newly serviced car however that was not to be. I turned up and was greeted by a miserable advisor who told me that the car hadn't been serviced as it didn't need it!! He then proceeded to tell me how the service it did need (brakes) I had declined!!!! Asked him why I had been told previously that it was complete, he just kept telling me that it wasn't required!!!! If it wasn't required, why had no one told me this when I took the car in or called me to advise this?? It's my car and if I want it serviced bloody do it!!!!! Don't they want my money????? It was last serviced 08/05/2018 at 66,534 miles and its now 20/06/2019 and at 82,000 miles.
My car was given back to me dirtier on the inside than when I left it and had clearly just been sprayed with water to make it looked washed.
I've now got to waste another day taking it to get serviced at another dealership as there is no way I would go back there.
