My wife and I have a daughter with disabilities and always knew we needed to set up a Special Needs trust for her. We were referred to the Special Needs Law Group and have been extremely impressed and pleased. One of the attorneys in the firm is a "Special Needs" attorney, and another attorney specializes in "Trust" law. Together, they have the expertise and are exactly what we were looking for.

Attorney Annette Hines and the team at SNLG of MA were outstanding. My experience dealing with other law firms has been cold indifference. From start to finish, I found the folks at SNLG to be a refreshing change. Ama and Heather were a delight, delivering top notch customer service, care, and compassion. They were responsive, prompt, and thoroughly professional. Nothing fell through the cracks and the interactions with staff were seamless. Everyone behaved as part of a cohesive team with focus on me, the client.
Attorney Hines came to the consultation well briefed and prepared on the matter at hand. There was no doubt as to her expertise. The advice and informatio provided will save me time, stress, and $$! The follow up was equally thorough and professional.
The bottom line for me was top notch legal service with customer service to match! When was the last time you actually looked forward to working with a law firm?
The firm stays involved in the community and shares a lot of publications, podcasts and seminars. I found them to be very knowledgeable. Their hourly rates are significantly higher than most attorneys in the same field (sometimes twice the going rate), so I strongly recommend shopping around before making a decision.
I don't question her expertise - it's clear that she's passionate about what she does and wants to help others. But I was able to get what I needed done for hundreds rather than thousands. I'd recommend this firm only if your case is unusually complicated.
Annette is the best. We recently had the opportunity to reconnect with Annette concerning our adult son s special needs trust. As always, Annette was pleasant, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, informative and professional and she is the best at what she does. Her heart is in helping all of her clients.
My experience with Annette Hines began many years ago - before Special Needs Law Group - as an advocate in dealing with SPED in middle school. Since then she has helped us with eligibility for DDS and done our estate planning, including Supplemental Needs Trusts. I continue to go to her for questions related to SSI/Social Security, health insurance, MassHealth, and future Medicare/Medicaid dual eligibility. It's all so complicated, but thankfully she knows it all! She has always been caring, knowledgeable, supportive and up to date with all the latest rule changes. I highly recommend the Special Needs Law Group!
Five years ago Annette Hines assisted my family in creating my mother's estate plan. I now have an issue with a trust she drafted. I contacted the office as I have questions and concerns. Her office advised me that Attorney Hines will not speak with me about this. I have not asked for assistance or representation, simply information that I am happy to pay the firms going rate for. I was not informed for the reason for this refusal despite my asking.
Additionally, during the process of her representing my family, she was slow to respond to emails and calls and treated me in a way that was condescending and patronizing.
I would not recommend this firm and would advise that you find an attorney and a firm that you feel will represent you with respect and advocacy and will stand behind the work they have done.
Having worked at this firm for almost 3.5 years, I can honestly say that the amount of expertise and the passion for advocacy truly shines here. The work that is done here benefits and protects so many individuals who are vulnerable. Not only are attorneys passionate about what they do but so is the team here. Each employee takes pride in what we do and our families that we work with. This firm is truly a wonder for the special needs community because of the knowledge and resource while also emphasizing with families during what could be uneasy times.
