just picked up my pride and joy from getting a tune up. I have a very hard time trusting anyone with my bike, given how much time and money I put into piecing it together. SPC came via recommendation and needless to say, Shawn treated it like one of his own. remarkable attention to detail, including walking me thru everything that needed adjustment, very professional and prompt with communication. will gladly continue to give him my business.

SP Carbon is so much more than a place that makes fantastically light and fast bikes. The owner will personally check and tune your bike. I love my Aspire road bike, it feels like it jumps when you get out of the saddle - such fast response. Hands down the best service I have ever received for my bike. Shawn is patient and answers all my millions of questions and importantly after each tune up he walks me through everything he did. Shawn will go out of his way to ensure you are happy with your bike. This level of dedication and connection to a customer is unparalleled.

Attention to detail when building a racing bike is essential and the guys at SP have spared no time when it comes to creating the best. I've just upgraded a BMC TMR02 to an SP Carbon Aspire Di2 and the difference is out of this world. To top it off the service is highly professional and courteous but has a family/personal edge that you don't usually find in an NYC bike shop... thanks again!

Best custom bike design and assembly in NYC, hands-down. Owner operated, no buck-passing, owner is a rider and knows his stuff, does EXCELLENT work. Got both my antique French beater road bike and my new carbon roadie running smooth as butter. Not a ground floor business where anyone can walk in and disturb the work. High-end service for high-end bikes.

I first heard of SP Carbon at a group ride where they were providing some SAG support at the beginning of the ride along with answering any questions people had about bike maintenance or riding in general. They were a pleasure to work with there and they mentioned that they had a tune-up service available along with a bike fit for a pretty reasonable so I made an appointment and stopped by.

Their shop is super clean and organized which is always a good sign in a bike shop and I was immediately greeted by the friendly people there. I mentioned that my 105 set was experiencing phantom shifts under load so they went at it and start seeing what was wrong with it. During the entire process while they were troubleshooting it they were more than happy to answer questions and explain the pros/cons to everything that they were doing. In the end (after 90 minutes of lots of tweaking which went above and beyond what I expected), they ended up replacing my cable housing and cable to my rear derailleuer, replacing my rear brake pads that I was unaware of being almost spent and a pair of Michelin Lithion 2's for a very reasonable price.

Long story, short, my bike shifts significantly better and I ended up doing my best laps to that date in Central Park the next day. Great, knowledgeable, friendly, and most important of all, straight forward guys there that will definitely go out of their way to ensure that you're happy with their service/product. This place will definitely be my go-to for major tune-ups and hopefully taking a serious look at them for my next bike.
