Have my chain repaired here several months ago. They then soldered a connecting eye, but they did that with solder instead of gold, and that with an 18k jewel. Cost 12, now have it repaired at a real goldsmith, for literally a few euros more, but as it should be. Also have a watch shortened, brand new, unfortunately got back with visible small scratches. It is a real shame! I think the quality can improve considerably.

We had our wedding rings made smaller here, but they polished it and erased our engravings,. after some discussion they would be re-engraved for free.
