This social home school, is an incredible learning and nurturing space. Space of Mind creates a stimulating learning culture which helps our son develop an excellent foundation for creative learning. Our son is reaching his full potential in all areas of life through activities that promote his social skills, emotional growth, and cognitive preparation. The staff (coaches) are incredibly talented and supportive, and they take the time to know each child and respect and honor who they are as individuals. We love Space of Mind!!

PARENTS BEWARE! If I could give no stars I would. We paid 20k upfront for my 10 year old son to go here 1 full school year. During the first semester my wife was called multiple times each week to pick him up because they could not handle him in their class room. Up to this point my son was home schooled and we chose Space of Mind a social home school because we wanted him to get the social experience that was lacking so it is fair to say he was having some difficulty adjusting to his new environment. Over the course of that first semester it became apparent that Space of Mind was not able to meet my sons needs as evidenced by constant calls to pick him up and also telling us that he would have to adhere to an alternative schedule that separated him from the rest of the class which completely defeated the purpose of him going there in the first place. This caused a heavy strain on our work schedules not to mention all the emotional turmoil it caused my son which had to be worked out in countless hours of therapy later. At that point the only responsible thing to do as his parents was to withdrawal him from the school since they were unable to work with him, only when we approached them about pro-rating the tuition for the semesters, that he did not attend, they would not even entertain the conversation. Now, I m very understanding of contracts but it was obvious that they did not hold up their end of the deal. We were, and still are, very disappointed with Space of Mind, their incompetent supervision, ineffective interventions and of course their shady business/administrative practices.

*After leaving a review on Facebook other parents began reaching out to me privately to share they are going through the same thing with their children being traumatized in their own experiences at Space of Mind. It became obvious that this was not just an isolated situation. I would urge parents to check out other schools that have actual teachers and not glorified babysitters on staff.

Rethinking and reinventing the way we educate our children. So neat to see the students in our downtown utilizing our city's many assets to learn.

Most amazing primary education concept I've heard - love this school and summer camp

Ali Kaufman is an uncommon human being. A rare combination of joy and enthusiasm and patience. Her ability to help young people learn how to learn is extraordinary. I have referred to her on numerous occasions with great results.
