Had lots of fun, especially with the interactive exhibits.
Great cheap and family friendly environment and also very educational and can you say free I recommend any one with spear time to just come
Free! Always changing exhibits....restaurant on site
Was not able to locate any van accessible parking within a 5 block radius. Had emailed CAC the week prior asking about parking and received no reply. Extremely disappointed that I drove over an hour and was not able to enter. Note: many wheelchair vans do NOT fit in parking garages, including mine. Please resolve this issue.
An amazing museum in the city that adds so much access to culture in the city. Love stopping in whenever I am in town.
The un-museum is always great for kids, the exhibits change and are interesting to view.
Beautiful and interesting building! Entry is free. There is a great area for kids on the sixth floor, where family activities are held from month to month.
This was such an amazing art center! There were different pieces of art from various artists from all over the world. Then on the 6th floor, everything was touchable! I had an awesome time there! The views were also perfect!
Great place to go view local artwork and new, insightful pieces. Not typically a huge modern art fan but I was pleasantly surprised with this museum. I especially loved the floor that was Interactive. That really topped off the experience.
Awesome! Great staff! Awesome exhibits, kids craft/play area on the top floor! Activities for the youths on Thursday and Friday nights! Great hidden gem right on 6th street. Free admission for the next couple years also!
What a treasure, right in a heart of the city. Zaha Hadid's first American commission, it's a beautiful building, full of surprising angles and views, shadows and light. I loved two of the four exhibits, and for me, that's saying a lot. (I'm pretty critical.) Oh, and I loved being able to access the meditation room!
Nice place. Great contributions from local artists. Community impact is powerful! And it's free to boot!
Worth far more than the price of admission! Which is free!
A fun place to stop and a free museum at that. It does have some exhibits geared towards kids and interaction, which is great. We were there with elderly in-laws, and they had a bit of a time getting around. Some of the exhibits were better than others, some were just head scratching. The staff was great, although the store was a bit pricey. The bathrooms were not easily visible.
I had a great time here. Loved the exhibitions on the 2nd floor, particularly the "Halfs". The 6th floor - play centre - had a fun feel to it. It appeals to the "child" in you, I especially loved the lit mirrored maze-like section. It is basically mirrors surrounded by lights but gives the illusion of a maze. Nice.
Thanks to the staff for creating the happy atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting when the other three floors are open to the public.
Love it the staff make you feel welcome all ways a good time when I come
Incredible Maya exhibition. Worth the visit! Artifacts on loan from Guatemala first-time ever out of the country
An excellent museum with compelling exhibits! The staff was friendly and helpful
We love the CAC it is date night and family friendly! The UnMuseum is my favorite I can't lie. Shark Girl is just too cool
The CAC is a great place to visit if you are visiting Cincinnati for a weekend or have lived here your whole life. The displays change every several months or so. The best part is, its completely free!
Impressive modern art museum for a medium-sized city like Cincinnati. Definitely worth a quick visit!
CAC is free admission to amazing international shows of contemporary art. Membership is reasonable and gets you into all openings, events, and artist talks early for some great one on one.
Front desk was welcoming and kind. The museum was ok, and had some thoughtful pieces. Was followed by security and no one else was. Very uncomfortable
Very engaging work and is always rotating their exhibits. They also offer art workshops for youngsters.
Wonderful free museum with pretty frequent exhibit rotations. If you pay attention they will challenge your perceptions and preconceptions as well as provide for a couple hours of good fun.
This is a great way to spend the day if it s unbearably hot or raining. Lots of stunning pieces and I LOVE the interactive section. Kid friendly. A great indoor stroll but DEFINITELY won t take more than 1/2 the day.
Amazing artwork and great interactive exhibits. Everytime I go here I spend at least 3 hours looking at the exhibits. And it's free!
Beautiful museum with fantastic multi media exhibits. The fact that admission is free is icing on the cake. Highly recommend visiting!
Absolutely amazing spot to spend a couple hours in a wide variety of contemporary exhibitions featuring exhibits from not very well known artists who are doing fantastic work and pushing the boundaries of the definition of art. I enjoyed every artifact inside with some ranging from the extremely small to the extremely large but the interactive artifacts are amazing. I love the flashlight activated music room. Great spot and shouldn't be missed.
Great opening night for 3 new exhibitions. Wish I had arrived earlier in the evening to see more of the crowd!
Such an amazing place. With some activities, at 6th floor. Very nice place to visit, the hard work can be seen all over the museum.
Lived in Cincinnati all of my life, and just had my first visit here. Very clean, organized, and interesting. The building is beautiful, and the exhibits are wonderful. Will be there again!
Not much of a variety. Pretty boring. But it is clean. And some of the art you have is awesome.
Such a cool place! I visited to film a video for a school project and I know I chose the perfect location. I've only ever gone to "normal" art museums so I didn't know what to expect. The art was all so unique and fascinating! The range of the crowd was great. There were lots of children and adults looking very interested in the art. The top floor, especially, appeals to kids (and adults too!) The fact that this place allows you to enjoy art and unleash creativity for free is amazing. The atmosphere was wonderful. All the staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. I know that they keep a constant flow of new art, so I will definitely be visiting again.
The Google directions are not correct, but an amazing museum!
This is absolutely one of my most favorite places to bring my tribe.
Throughly enjoyed myself. The exhibits were amazing and the UnMuseum on the 6th floor in which you get to have an interactive experience truly made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend if you are looking for an entertaining way to spend your time.
Nice facility in downtown Cincinnati. Paid parking a block away.
It was empty looking... especially the 6th floor compared to earlier times.
Not bad but not impressive. Not much variety. Too narrow theme.
A must stop when you go to or through downtown Cincinnati. Love the 6th floor UnMuseum
My daughter and her friend loved it, but me not so much but my taste are different when it comes to art. But I do appreciate art and know some art I don't have to love and its not all going to be to my liking. All exhibits were open which was great it was an enjoyable evening.
Always something different to see and very unique artists....
Love the contemporary art center in cincinnati. This museum is free to get into. Its weird and quirky. It is a fun place to check out. There is a kid friendly level thats all hands on.
Took my 7 year old grandson today. I love this place! So interesting and very cool artwork too. He loved the interactive 6th floor!
This place always has something good. 5 floors of exhibits, great friendly staff, multiple exhibits on display and well installed presentations. Plus some weeknights there is no charge. Even when there is a charge, you really get more than you paid for. I have never visited the CAC where I was disappointed in the least.
Great Location. I loved the amount of varied art there was. The staff was helpful and The interactive displays were great for kids and my dude. Will be returning!
You can find interesting things.
Beautiful exhibition by Saya Woolfalk
It was a surreal experience vising CAC. Starting with the eye-candy building designed by Zaha Hadid to every art piece inside, everything is outstanding. It is a must-visit place for everyone, you don't need to be an art-lover to appreciate the beauty of it. Parking is bit tough but admission is free and it's in the middle of everything. So just plan a day and treat yourself.
It's nice being able to get your children exposure to art for free. There are 6 floors to view and the design and layout of the museum is very cool. The 6th floor is the interaction floor where kids and adults can engage interact and actually make some art. In theory this was great but unfortunately when we visited most of the art supplies were depleted and this left the kids with not much to do in the way of creating art.
Solid Exhibitions - I don't live in Cincinnati, but if I did, I would stop in regularly. ITS FREE
Excellent museum of modern art. Frequent new shows so always something new to see
I LOVE this place! It's always nice when you walk in you are ALWAYS greeted with a nice smile and a warm welcome! The artists are amazing and the most important feature is...IT'S FREE!!! The Unmuseum is great for kids and the interactive interfaces are awesome!1
Wasn't very interesting at all for the most part. Probably why it was free. I'd recommend some of the many other art galleries downtown where you can actually buy the pieces and support local artists.
I did the bilingual guided tour of the museum that they do on Sundays once a month. I recommend it totally. Focus your explanation on the architectural part of the museum and then choose 1 or 2 exhibitions that are open and talk about the artists and the works. Besides being very educational, they are also very dynamic, since they invite viewers to give their opinion about the works. I recommend this space that can be covered in a morning or afternoon because it is small and located in the center of the city.
Wonderful exhibits and very friendly staff. The unmuseum was my favorite :)
Drink and Draw on Thursdays from 6-8 pm. So much fun!
New exhibits and showcases make this spot a on going ritual for great contemporary art.
What a worthwhile visit and best of all it is free!!
Been to two shows here. Both were absolutely freaking amazing! First time was for the artist Swoon. Second time happened on a wind after going to the Taft Museum. This trip had Chris Larson and Mark de Jong. I enjoyed it so much I'm making this review and going to tell friends to make the trip! Will definitely go there again for another show.
I was so impressed. It was free admission (although if you enjoy it you should leave a donation in the donation box or buy something) and the third floor is kid friendly, so much to keep them entertained.
This museum has a generally interesting collection. The layout and interior of the museum is nice and it is accessible. Entry is free (sometimes), which makes visiting this museum a good way to spend an afternoon.
Coolest place in Cincinnati in my opinion. Always love coming here.
