Southwest Portraits Review

I tried to get a hold of them and they won't return my calls. I've even stopped by and left a note and still no call or follow up.

Beautiful wedding photos followed by your perfect pregnancy portrait! Southwest has become part of the family.

We used Southwest Portraits for our son's upcoming Senior year and they are very courteous and professional. Highly recommend using them

My son went in for Sr Pictures and staff is super nice and helpful! I called in prior to ask if photographer would double check that cap was placed properly and even before I got to finish my request staff stated they will. Additionally they make sure students have ties on straight!! Can t wait for pictures to arrive.

Pictures came out great and overall was a good experience

Took my son's senior picture last week and it was great session. He does not like taking pictures but really enjoys the session !

Had my daughters senior photos taken here (not by choice) the photographer was okay and the office staff on the day of the session was nice. The photo's were taken in early July, it is now mid Septemeber and after several calls to the office I still do not have the photo's I purchased. I had to call twice (more than a month after the session) to get someone to send me the proofs so the order could be processed. The follow up has been very disappointing. I would never recommend this studio to anyone.

Disappointing. School decided to utilize Southwest Portraits. They expect us to take the time to edit each of our photos, even though it's the same photo for an 8 x 10, 5 x 7, 4 x5 & wallet size. They all look different in how I cropped them. I can't remember how I cropped my other daughter's photos, so all the photos will come out different. In addition, they don't offer a 3 x 5 size, so all the relatives who already have a frame for that size that we've ordered for many years will need to buy new frames. To make it even worse, my younger son's photos are in the 3 x5 size done by a different school studio, so their frames won't match. They should give an option for us to crop. I don't have time to do it myself. I feel they won't turn out.

Southwest Portraits has created everlasting memories for our family and friends. Not only are the pictures gorgeous, but Anthony is fantastic to work with. We couldn't be happier and have trusted Southwest Portraits for the most important milestones in our lives including our wedding and our daughters first pictures.

We went in to have senior portraits taken for my daughter. My wife, who is a professional photograher unlike the some of the associates who helped us, tried to take a snapshot outside the property of my daughter and her friend and was screamed at from across the parking lot. "Photographs on the property arent alllowed". As if that wasnt unprofessional enough she had a glare on her glasses . We were told during proofing that it could be removed for a charge of $44.00. My daughters friend pictures were blurry. What a shame the art of photography has been reduced to assembly line hacks.

Nice school photos, but had to jump thru hoops for them to find the prints when I went to pick up at school.

Great place to come and have pictures taken! Amazing staff and photographers. Very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs family portraits done or anyone who needs pictures done in general.

My photographer was great, was wasn't great was that they cut back on options but not on price. Not only this but one photographer who looked young enough to be breaking child labor laws was rude and threatened to call the police when I took a picture of the property(which they don't even remotely own, which he claimed they did). I would have easily complied if he would have been polite but he just went straight to threatening me. I do understand that they make they're business off this but there are NO SIGNS saying that this isn't allowed.

If it were an option, I would give Southwest Portraits 0 stars for customer service. Parents have no options for school pictures and senior portraits, therefore we are at the mercy of the studio chosen by the school district. And that is evident in Southwest Portrait's abysmal customer service. In years past, minis were always offered as part of one of the lesser priced packages. I have older children and have ordered school pictures for many years. Every year, I need only 1 mini picture to fill a K-12 School Days calendar for each of our children, so I order the least expensive package. However, on the order form, minis alone were not available for purchase, nor were they included in any of the reasonably priced packages. They were an "add on" to the packages offered for an additional cost of $10. So prior to Picture Day, I called SW Portraits to ask if it would be possible to get minis rather than wallets in one of the packages, and explained my dilemma. I was told to cross out "wallets" and write in "minis" on the order form, which I did. My daughter also pointed out the change to the photographer on Picture Day. When the pictures arrived, there was a sheet of wallets, and no minis. I called SW Portraits to explain what had happened, thinking it would be a simple fix and they would take care of the mistake. Instead, their "solution" was that I purchase the minis as an "add on" ($10) in addition to the $16 I had already paid for the package of pictures I'll never use, and there was nothing else they could do. They know we have no options for school pictures, so what's the point of striving for exemplary (or even just marginal) customer service?? They have us over a barrel, so to speak. I just wanted other review readers to know what kind of company SW Portraits is...and wish them better luck than I had!

Weren't very personal and I was not pleased with my photos even after trying to work with them on what I wanted. The photographers didn't seem to be very experienced. They are just there to make money, go to a local photographer instead and help small business owners instead of letting an impersonal and inexperienced large studio out to take your money, take your photos.
