So thankful for this church... For the solid Bible teaching, outreach focused ministries, discipleship/mentoring, small groups, counselors, adoption support, parenting/marriage wisdom....and for how the people it is made of-- have been like family to us (in times of joy as well as grief). From newborn to high school our kids have felt loved and cared about. As with anywhere, because a church is made up of people...there will be struggles and areas for growth, but over and over we have seen the leadership is willing to hear input, ready to listen and open to change as God leads and that there is an overall desire to honor Him and love one another.

This is such a warm church, open to anyone who wants to come. The Youth Group is phenomenal, I've had some powerful experiences there. The church itself has tons of outreach programs, proclaiming Christ all over the globe. I feel lucky to go here.

I visited this church as my son and his wife are newer members and all I can say is I am so thankful they found such a wonderful and Godly church. They have received so much support and have grown in wonderful ways. This church is strong in teaching and equipping. They really invest in the body, which is impressive for a large church. The membership is warm and caring as is the Pastor and leadership. If I lived in Beaverton this would be my church.

Most judgemental church we have ever been to...was going to pay for our daughter to go there until we were condemned by the greeting lady who runs the place for not having our wedding before our baby was born...we are saving up our funds...smh. We are already married, just not on paper with the courts. We dont feel that we are incompetent and we will never be divorced. This lady was just an unhappy old woman who had very bad energy. The holy spirit was def NOT connected. Intention is everything. My gut/ intuition told me to run. Poor salesmanship, customer service and empathy towards a brand new family...smh may God be with this church...

My kind of church, a verse by verse teachings from the Bible. We really enjoyed Pastor Scott s expository sermons. This is the best church to study the Bible, if that s what you are looking for. It s obvious, Jesus is definitely the center and main focus of this church.

Excellent family church atmosphere, with a great worship team.

We recently attended the once a month, small groups (8-10 people) home dinner with other church families. My family and I really enjoyed it, and it is the best way to get to know other fellow believers in an authentic and personal level. We highly recommended for anyone who is looking for genuine fellowship.

They have a very good supportive kids ministry, with lots of activities to do.

Excellent Sunday school classes, and great free coffee.

I m so glad I found this church for my family.

Great Verse by verse bible church. The school is top notch. Teachers are great and the price is very fair for the area.

They do not believe in Common Core and the class rooms are filled to the gills with Kids vs. Teachers.I really like this church/school.

Amazing time at the services and the ministry there is so on point with what the bible truly has to say about Jesus Christ life and we are to live ours as Christians. It is a big church but the people are so welcoming and warm I'm not changing churches for a LONG time. God bless to you all on finding a forever church family.

We heard Scott on the radio one night & was pleasantly surprised to find out his Sunday service is only an hour away from home. We enjoy the solid Bible based teaching not only from the pulpit but also from the variety of Bible classes offered at 10:00 am by several instructors & leaders. There's a strong leadership style that comes though in a manner of grace encouraging the reading of God's Word and abiding in Christ daily. The Maher's

I walked in and it didn t feel peaceful, the bands were talented, but it didn t feel reverent enough. I went to where the teens were and I was glad to see someone came up to say hi, but the next time that I went no one wanted to socialize with me. I went up to a couple kids and they said hi but went back to their conversations. They try to be welcoming but it feels like they do it because they have to. After a couple months of going home from church crying, my parents understood enough to go back to our old church in Hillsboro where, yes the amount of youth was smaller, but I got a a much more spiritual experience. But good job for trying SouthWest, but I could tell some people felt out of place, especially some teens.

Attended service at SW Bible with a friend for mother's day. Great sermon and worship. I love that there are several opportunities to attend service as the offer 2 services. Gives you several opportunities if you prefer early service there's an option. And if you prefer later services there's an option. Nice calm atmosphere.

I grew up in this church and went to school here, and I don t have strong enough words to express how unfriendly and judgemental and selfish the environment is at Southwest. It s elitist and cold and rigid. They don t know anything about love and acceptance, so if that s important to you, I d recommend you look elsewhere.

We walk in and immediately feel judged. We were rambled off a bunch of different times of educational classes & all we came for was service time and school questions...then the interrogating questions about when our wedding date was since we have a baby on the way... I don't understand how this is her business seeing that shes clearly not being invited as we never met her before. We shared our love story with her and she was the only person ever to not seem intrigued or excited, but more so blank and spiritless. Arent we in the house of the lord?...I was confused... and we both felt criticized. Next interrogating question was "so where are u currently going?"...now it was not what she asked, but HOW. She wanted us to feel bad because we chose to have our 1 year old baby in our wedding and that we werent currently going to church. Well, not everybody is ready right away, besides we pray every single night and read the bible at home. God lives thru us and we still worship Christ. Just because we dont do it in their living room doesn't make it wrong. That 1st lady quickly dismissed us without a nice good bye. The 2nd lady seemed very pleasant and talked alot about times and classes (which we already went over and had 4-5 pamphlets)...! Sheesh! They seemed resistant because we were pregnant and had awhile to go b4 enrolling our baby in preschool, but it might take us a few years to decide on our babies school...furthermore, I asked her what the sports program was like and she handed us off to some nice man who was super enthusiastic about the sports program. Nice guy, I must admit, but we did not feel as if we were being listened to for what our exact needs were... There were no sincere interesting questions for us, just interrogating ones. Everyone seemed either disinterested or a little hyper. We came for compassion and open ears. We fell short of what we came for. We did not feel the spirit of Christ. We will pray tonight to ask for direction from the lord to guide us to a humble home that matches our core values (those that dont judge, as the Lord teaches)....baffled & disappointed to say the least, but we will pray.

I attend this church.

I attend this church.

First of all, they hold onto Truth. They rely of the Word of God before anything else. I'd say it takes some faith to do that when American Christianity is turning into a "enlightening experience" that can be about raw emotion, or interpretation.

It's in a upper-middle class community that is a little sheltered. The people are great. It feels like they might not be welcoming, but I think it's a difference in life experiences. They have good intentions.

The teaching is excellent. The attenders friendly and inviting. Lots of great programs for everyone. Mission oriented and community reaching. It's a large church but the home groups become your family.

Good straight Bible teaching from the pastor. Pretty good music ministry. Overall, a good church. Unfortunately, not much for kids over 5th grade to do during church service other than sit with you and be bored. We prefer a church that offers a separate ministry for all of our kids, at different ages. I sometimes felt like the music and response to the music (worship) was a little more subdued than other evangelical churches in the area as well. Nevertheless, still a very good church. Just didn't end up being exactly what we were looking for.
