I've been using Southern Water's services for a while now, and I must admit that they are doing an excellent job. The quality of water is great, and their customer support is always polite and helpful. I have no complaints and would recommend them to others.

No online payment options. You can only call during business hrs to pay. After hours system starts at 5pm.... water quality is horrible. My bill is $50-75 for two ppl and we dont even water or grass or have a pool. City of Houston it was only $27 every month and I could actually water my yard.

I have used Southern Water for 2 years. I do not get the bad reviews. So far I do not believe that the cost of water is high, or of low quality. Another poster mentioned lack of payment options 6 months ago. They offer payment by check and credit/debit card over the phone.

My only gripe is the cost to change the name on the account at my location. I do not see why there is a need to open a new account for $100 when all that is being changed is the name on the account.

With no website, lack of payment options, and bad record keeping/meter reading inconsistencies, there is a lot of improvement to be made. Given that there is no other water provider in the area, I do not see that happening any time soon.

Antiquated paying system, this company doesn t have an auto paying system or online payment system . Just called to pay over the phone, it s 1:23pm well after lunch hour and I m still getting the after hours phone service to take my message down that I m trying to pay my bill. Now I have to wait again for someone to call me back, and probably at a moment when I can t give my information over the phone because I m driving or in a meeting. And here comes the late fee again, all because they can t upgrade their payment system to adjust to the digital age we re in.
