My experience has been wonderful, being one of the many students that we had to adapt to teaching online from one moment to the next. I started in January and I am about to graduate this year, went through the entire period of the pandemic, the externship coordinator found me an excellent place to do my externship and I've just been hired at the same clinic. As a immigrant spanish speaker I am proud to be part of Southern Technical College and thanks to all the help, understanding and support provided I became part of the honor society.

I highly recommend Jessica Laundry, was the person who helped me with everything I needed to get started and was present at all my career time, always supporting me and happy for my accomplishments.

Halfway through my program which cost 20k they decided to switch to online learning. Of course using COVID as an excuse but this came probably the day after the governor lifted the mandates. This is after falsely advertising hands on education. I tried to switch classes explaining that it is very difficult to learn a skilled trade on a computer screen and was sent to the dean. She very kindly told me that if I didn t like it I could just drop out. Leaving me financially responsible for a degree I didn t receive and knowledge I did not learn. Two weeks into these hybrid classes the instructor sleeps at his desk the days we are in class and today he never showed. If you care about your education and money run away from this place. They enroll you on all these promises of a wonderful school. What you really get is old dirty buildings. Overcrowded classrooms. Antique tools and equipment that are broken and falling apart.

I was really excited to start a phlebotomy course at southern technical. At first it looked very professional and inspiring. But after a couple weeks, I received a call saying that my instructor was no longer able to teach my class, and the course would not be partially online, with only one class a week being hands on.
This was very frustrating because I had changed my work schedule around this course. I was taking it while waiting from college classes to resume, in a attempt to get a job in the medical field while attending college.
Because they changed the schedule completely, it was impossible for the majority of the people in my class to continue the course, so it was cancelled.
I think it is very unfair and unprofessional. I, as well as my classmates, were counting on this course for a career step. Instead it was a waste of time, study and gas.

Why in the world would any of you "students" spand about $40,000 for a job paying you $10-13 per hour? Also this is not a college. That's why you are here because you didn't go to college...

As a graduate from Southern Technical College I will personally recommend Mohamed Khan as a great teacher and instructor. He goes far and beyond for students to learn and have the hands on experience. Always there to help and make sure we learned all aspects of the industry.

They are not willing to help with online classes or any options students that get infected with COVID-19, even when you show proof. They don't understand that is required to stay home 14 days when test positive. They are not being responsible or care for other students in class or the staff. They will drop you out of school and leave you in debt with no options to retake a class or use any credits.

Should you choose to ignore the negative reviews and base your decision to attend this school on the positive ones, don t be mad when you find out the negative ones are 100% true you were warned.

I strongly advise you to spend your money elsewhere as I am currently attending this school and regret ever deciding to do so. It s about the money here and they could not care less about you once the money is received.

Really good college a lot of good instructors who help educate you with the knowledge and tools you need to succeed. Mr. Khan is one of the best there, he s so knowledgeable and anything you have a question on or need help on he s right there to help.

I would like to know the experience of people that have attended & attending the medical assistant program, pros & cons please. Tuition, instructors, likelihood of landing a job, how long is the program. Please let me know as I am searching for what's best for me.

So far so good!! Everyone is respectful and helpful!! My class has been fortunate to have an instructor like Nicole! She s fair, clear with instructions and she keeps the class interesting. I am going to school for my veterinarian assistant!!
