Kaiser Southwood sent a person I help to Southern Regional at 6 p.m. by ambulance for treatment of fluid on the lungs. He was put in a wheelchair and parked in the ER waiting room. He called me for food. After 7 pm I brought food which wasn't allowed until he was screened. That was done soon but nothing else was done. I was called at 5 am by a nurse telling me to come get him as he was discharged and to bring a catheter since the hospital would not provide one. There was no treatment or review beyond the screening in his 12 hours there. He saw no evidence of anyone else waiting being taken in for treatment.

The ER department is umm..... But I was admitted an placed on the 3rd floor. The 368 side an every last NURSE, TECH, HOUSEKEEPING AN THE DR'S DESERVE 5 STARS. ALL WHERE RESPECTFUL, GOT ME ANYTHING I NEEDED, THEY WHERE PLEASANT. BUT THE BOARD SHOULD REALLY LOOK AT THEIR ER STAFF, A FEW WHERE OK THE REST SHOULD GO HOME CAUSE THAT'S ALL THEY YELLED, AN HOW THEY ACTED WHICH MEANS THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WHERE NOT TOP QUALITY. AN THANK TO ALL IN THE MEDICAL FIELD STILL CHOOSING TO WORK
Very nice hospital nice people after a long wait due to that darn virus China sent over I was admitted. Had a very good experience took very good care of me & thorough except for one nurse I think her badge # is 4034 or 4031 long black hair pulled back in a pony tail she came in on 9-5-31 at approximately 4:10am to do stats shes always grouchy gets upset if I move during BP test but im in pain with my back I have to move sometimes to get it comfy she forcibly holds my arm down. Then she took the bag of goodies they gave me the night before in case I get hungry & my ice tea i sip on if im thirsty dumring the night. Whats wrong with her??? Jeeeeezzzzz!!!!! Update:9-8-21 about 10am I have this very nasty forceful nice shes pushing meds on me that I know I can't take colace cramps me Miralax makes me vomit. I know my body better than anyone.
I was at the hospital earlier this week and was so impressed. The new emergency department is beautiful and the team is amazing! I m especially impressed with the mom/baby department. Great hospital that truly cares.
I will NOT be going to this hospital ever again unless it s the last resort! My mom had to go in for internal bleeding and abdominal discomfort. We received a referral from her doctor to go to this hospital because it was the only one close to us at the time, and she was in pain. We arrived around 1pm and were waiting for SEVEN hours just to be seen. She was weak and shaking by the time she had finally gotten seen. I really don t appreciate the way the triage nurse and charge nurse were dismissive and rude towards my mom when she wanted to get her referral back to go to another hospital. When I checked my mom in I handed the receptionist my mom s referral, yet when we asked for it, no one could find it. I understand that working in a high paced environment can be stressful, but if you re going to be insensitive and rude then you don t need to work as a nurse or be in any other type of customer service field. It s really sad the way I ve seen other patients being treated here in the Emergency Room. One lady was screaming out in pain for something to lay on and the triage nurse told the lady that she couldn t help her and proceeded to call the next name on her list. There seemed to be no urgency in this emergency room and I was very upset by the way things were handled here! I don t ever leave bad reviews and I hate to have to leave this one, but after the experience me and my mom had here (minus the service from the night staff in particular Laura and the rest of the people on the shift with her) I think people should know. Me and my mom are so very thankful for the nurses and doctors who were kind to my mom and took care of her, please know that your generosity did not go unnoticed! I hope in leaving this review there are some serious changes made at this hospital!
I was admitted by my primary care Dr. Varma Meka. I loved the way he made sure that I was taken care of in every way possible. I highly recommend him. Also I was being cared for by Dr.Belvins she listened to all my concerns and was very attentive. I admire her professional mannerisms. And I want to give a shout to charge nurse Sandra on the 3rd floor and a shout out to Dr.Avery as well. And to the staff keep up the good work. I hadn't been admitted to the hospital in a while. A lot has changed and I highly recommend this hospital for all of your needd.
I received some amazing care at this hospital. I was diagnosed with COVID & ended up getting pneumonia. The regimen they gave me obviously worked and I was discharged in 6 days. Everybody (except one) I encountered was super professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I also really loved that the staff in the cafeteria called me to confirm what I wanted to eat watch day. I've seen some not so good reviews but I'm extremely happy with the care I received! Thank you for literally saving my life!
I received amazing care at Southern Regional Medical Center. Dr. Tuggle, Evan, my anesthesiologist and the complete nurses staff that were part of my team were phenomenal. I expected to be overly nervous and scared but they kept me at complete ease! I highly recommend them. Thanks for the wonderful chats Nurse Rhonda!
I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Brenda for about 10 full minutes. I'm in Jacksonville, Florida, but MY GRANDDAUGHTER lives in Morrow with her Mom.
I had not been able to reach them after hearing that they possibly had COVID symptoms.
Long story short, I was grateful to hear that neither had been admitted but another thing is that Ms. Brenda didn't mind giving me three other medical facilities to call.
She was patient, professional and caring. Thanks a million, Ms. Brenda! May God continue to bless you and those you love! Thanks for your service and dedication to the health field.
I recently had a hysterectomy (outpatient due to Covid restrictions) I was terrified not only about the surgery but being sent home the same day. The surgery went well Thanks to my wonderful doctor but the Southern Regional staff for their professional services and care to reassure me I was ok to go home and recover.
