Filed a small claim. Put me through the ringer proving damage was from a lightning strike. Sent in all paperwork. It has been two months since everything was sent to them. Still have not settled with me. I have called no less than ten times with no return call. I do not recommend this company to anyone. I will never do business with them again.
Can a Southern Fidelity Manager PLEASE ASSIST ME?!?!
My home sustained water damages in July of last year and my contractor had to pack my entire house out. I m currently living in another home but my Additional Living Expenses ended at the end of Dec. So since Jan 1st I ve been paying my own expenses to live in a second house because my house is sitting vacant and gutted because Southern Fidelity has been sitting on my contractors supplemental estimate since the end of July. The desk adjuster, Keith S has confirmed in various conversations that he clearly knows more money is required to complete my repairs and has promised he will get an updated estimate out to us, since the beginning of Dec! Then after that promise he went dark for a few weeks. Now he responded again in Jan and said he is still working on their estimate and will have it soon. Well here we are in Feb and I still don t have anything, literally have nothing, no estimate, no explanation, no communication, and phone calls back, no email responses.
We recently reached out to our agents office and they said they are having difficulty getting explanations as well.
I am so lost and my contractor
Is literally sitting at a stand still until we get an updated estimate and payment.
I pray they are not doing this to other homeowners, if so all I can do is pray for those people and hope they re treated better than the way they are treating me.
My claim number ends in 26718 and my home is located in Arabi, LA.
We also have over 30 emails of being lead on or simply no reply s.
Please provide us with what we can do to move our repairs along?

Save your time and get a real insurance this guys come inspect my house and said the roof needs some repairs, I sent them all the documentation that proof the roof is brand new and they still didn t take it,also said that my pool need a fence and my fence measure 5ft tall
This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. This is the second my second claim with this company ; in fact, I had a claim in 2007 of which I simply chose to pay out of my pocket because it wasn't worth having a Heart-Attack over.
I am a 67 Year Old retired Electrical Engineer with a minor in Mathematics and a minor in Aviation Science. I think I am smart enough to know what's up or down, what's left or right and I do not appreciate some young African American PREACHING to me as that which happened today 01-26-19.
I've employed many people over the years and, consequently, I learned how to read people. It was extremely apparent this young man REPEATEDLY tried to put words in my mouth.
I own Several, Several , Several properties under various company names insured with various insurance companies; several of which are insured by Southern Fidelity. Tomorrow, 01-27-21, I will instruct my assistant to CANCEL every policy we have with Southern Fidelity Insurance Company; I am done with these people!!!
Also, the internal claims agent called me last week. I told him I could not speak then and I asked him to call back the next day. after listening to his 20 minute lecture he finally let me go. HE DID NOT CALL THE NEXT DAY AS HE PROMISED!!!

Southern Fidelity is a very good Insurance Company. I recently had a fire to destroy a property of mine insured with SFIC. They investigated and did that which an insurer should do. I was able to call in and get an update weekly. They did not abandon me nor make things difficult for me. I would recommend SFIC to anyone desirous of good Insurance.
