I am giving this review for Karen and Dr. ALI because they are very caring individuals. As far as some of the staff in the office I will give a one star especially for a staff called Lorraine she is very unprofessional and rude, she cut me off several times. I explained to her I was wanting Dr. ALI as my primary and I needed to cancel my appointment with Dr. Hurd who I have never saw because I did not want to take away from her patients. I was giving a transfer appointment at the end of March, I tried to explain i am on medication for diabetes and the pharmacy will not refill until a Doctor does their part. In the mean time of me writing this Lorraine called me back to apologize for being rude she stated it was because of her computer, which I understand we all have bad days and it was a monday.. I also work for the public and I always do my calls with a smile because you never know what the person has going on., on the other end of that call. SO an FYI walk away and give it to someone else if you cant do it with a smile. Thank you

My review is for Dr. Lim. I love her and recommend her. She is very popular though so hard to get an appointment. The new setup for check in seems to work well. I like that there is a lab on site.

SIMED's lab is just awful. I waited for two hours - you can't make an appointment for blood work - and there was no social distancing. I had to get more blood work done, so I went to Quest instead. You check in, and you can wait in your car and they will text you. I was in and out very quickly. It was clean and socially distanced. So - no more SIMED lab. I'll only do Quest.

So I put in an application to work for Simed. They reviewed my application and we scheduled a phone interview. On the day and time scheduled, I never received a call or even an email. I decided to call them at 3 o'clock that same day and left a voicemail with the HR department. It's been over 2 weeks and I never recieved a response from anyone. I called again last week and this week and they are ignoring my phone calls. How do you ignore someone YOU set up an interview for?! I am appalled by the level of professionalism in this establishment.

I have tried multiple times to schedule an appointment with Dr. Sarah Osian. I was able to get ahold of Sharon
only for her in haste to tell me I needed a referral. The referral was obtained
and faxed to the office. I have left 2 voicemails to confirm the referral was received. No return phone call from the office. Poor customer service.

The Doctor never followed up and sent any scripts. Then I was asked to come back to get script at my expense. No follow up and I am just a number. To be fair that's how most of my Doctor experiences have gone in recent years. I don't recommend SIMED.

I saw two different doctors here. One, a lung doctor, didn't check my history, didn't check my O2 sat, didn't take a stethoscope to my lungs, didn't have me use a spirometer, didn't even have a nurse check my BP/HR/respirations, but somehow determined I should be taking Spriva. I didn't take it, and have not had an asthma attack or any hypoxia in the past two years. I have no history of hypoxia, but I have used a pulse ox, more than once, and it's always fine.
The other provider, Dr. Jahn, was AMAZING! When my appointment was over they said "you don't have a copay" I said "are you sure?" and I was told yes, I didn't have a copay.
Then I got sent to collections for not paying my copay. They sent me to collections over $25 that they specifically told me I did not owe them after I had REPEATEDLY asked. My credit score could have been ruined.

All I m going to say is after calling every number listed for the place simply trying to schedule an appointment I can see exactly why this place has more one star reviews than anything else.

I went in to see Dr.Rodriguiz and thought at first this is my man he explained everything I was experiencing in detail so blood work and x-rays were ordered. To my amazement it showed nothing, then a complete blood work panel was done and nothing was shown (I have GOUT and psoriasis) my Dr. recommended pain management and a gout specialist well we looked into a gout specialist and guess what it's a rheumatologist I thought that was who I was seeing. So he was wanting to do more blood work and more x-rays,talk about upset my wife ooooooweeee. Now why would you send someone out the door to seek someone else if this is your field? Also why pain management when you don't have a diagnosis do they just dope you up until you are not hurting and then manage that you don't OD?That is not why we drove 2hrs 1 way multiple times! We are not pleased at all.I have been told that I could have fibromyalgia he has yet to mention that but all the symptoms I have point right at it.He wanted us to go to another Dr. in Ocala (farther than 2hrs) I guess to this non existing gout specialist because all we found were Dr.s in his field! We are willing to do what it takes to get me fixed but walking in and having them say nothing is wrong and then want to refer me is just a little off key.I think it's just another play for $$$$$$ and the health of patients just doesn't matter.Ocala Fl. is his home base so maybe his buddies there know more?We just don't get it!! Keith Wynn Oh and me and my wife, mother, and father have worked in the medical field for years. Thanks for the typical bleeding of funds that is always enjoyable.

Dr Harris is extremely knowledgeable.
I highly recommend her.

However be careful if you re on Medicare. The Gainesville walk in clinic performed

I was seen in June for a swollen eye. The care was fine, and the doctor was professional, however billing was a mess. I am a UF student and was told my type of insurance would cover my visit and was billed as an Urgent Care co-pay ($50). However months later I get a bill in the mail saying I owe over $100 on that visit. When I called to try to resolve the issue there was no accountability, and the person receiving my call was condescending. I have worked in an urgent care before and asking a patient do you know how insurance works? is not proper customer service. I should have been told my proper total after my visit and not told a different amount or that my insurance would cover it, then billed months later.

I would recommend going to any of the UF CareSpots in the area instead.

I love my doctors and the fact most doctors I need to see are located all in one place.they even have a lab and x-ray machines on site which makes that easier as well.im so glad I transferred over here 3 years ago.

My rehab doctor is terrific. To bad he's affiliated with a pathetic, inept organization. His nurse Ashley does not return phone calls, and I've had situations of running out of a medication. The front office staff is very abrupt when answering the phone; IF they answer the phone. SIMED needs to get their act together for their patients, not their wallets.

I had a wonderful experience going here. I called before I went in, and was nicely greeted and my questions about wait times were quickly answered. There was only a short 30 minute wait. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed. The wait time was very accurate and I waited no longer than 30 minutes. This really impressed me. The lady who took me back to start my appointment was very friendly. We had great conversation and she really made me feel comfortable. She was quick but didn't feel rushed. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she should definitely be recognized for her outstanding hospitality. When she finished with me, she went and got the doctor. It only took a few moments for Dr. Martin to come into the room. He was very polite and very helpful. We had a great conversation as well, and he definitely made sure I understood everything he was saying. It was definitely the best experience I have had with a doctor. I wish he was my primary doctor. He was not rushed and wrote out very detailed instructions for me. I was blown away with the whole experience. I will definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone and everyone! Everyone I encountered was so helpful and very friendly.

I've only had negative experiences (and ridiculous charges) from the OB/GYN department. I had to wait three months just to get an appointment with any of their doctors. The front desk staff are rude and never answer the phone during their listed operating hours of 8am-4pm and take days to return voicemails. Nurses and P.A.s are equally disorganized. Urgent Care has taken several hours both times I had to go there. They once "forgot about" me for an hour while I was in a treatment room waiting to see the doctor on-call after being fully checked in and examined by the nurse. Turns out the nurse wrote down the wrong room number and the staff didn't think to check the other rooms before assuming I'd left without getting treatment. Almost impossible to get an appointment with my primary care doctor because he's so busy. Nice guy and thorough physician but his front desk staff is as unprofessional as the front desk staff in the OB/GYN dept, and I usually have to see the nurse practitioner even when I have an advance appt. specifically to see my doctor.

Dr. Grover is very nice, but the receptionists do not make anything easy. My friend had to wait 5 months to get an appointment and everything aligned, which could have been shortened drastically with better communication.

Sabrina is very unhelpful, rude and condescending. When I asked to speak to someone else she stated there wasn't anyone else and that she was the manager which is very doubtful. Then she proceeded to call my number several times and hang up. Where does this place find their help? Very immature and unprofessional and she's supposed to be helping people with mental conditions. Find another Medical Office with Compassionate Help because this isn't the place.

I saw Dr. Mary Hurd on March 3rd for my yearly physical. I was told by the office that my insurance was going to cover for my physical. They charged me $90 extra for couple of referrals that Dr Hurd has noted. I asked to talk to the office manager and she claimed that this charge was correct. I have seen many doctors and I have never been charged for referrals. This is not professional and this is being greedy to me. The office should have notified me or other patients that this office charges extra to refer other doctors. The referrals should be part of Dr job when doing the physical in my opinion. Horrible customer service!

I should ve paid attention to the overall reviews ...

I should ve paid attention to the overall reviews and rating. But I was in need of a primary physician due to my last one leaving Gainesville and I caught COVID so I needed someone right away. But horrible communication skills and fails to take self accountability. They return phone calls days or a week later, the portal they use is always down so you can never send documents or talk to anyone. When I was out for COVID, I tried to call plenty of times to confirm my exact return to work date after my initial new patient visit. I also needed information provided to the company that covers my claim. No response! The company over my claim didn t get the paperwork until 2 1/2 weeks later. And because I couldn t get ahold of anyone to confirm, I didn t return back to work. Mind you I needed a negative COVID test as well (In which they directed me back to CVS instead of allowing me to test there) Plus my job needed written confirmation from them before I could return. And I couldn t just return back to work because my nurse said so, I needed documented proof. They refused to change my return to work date. But because of this, it now impacts my paycheck and now I will not get paid for that week I was out. So please AVOID THIS PLACE. The reviews are real!

My husband was treated horribly. They were rude and insulting They have no bedside manner. He used
protective gloves and a mask and was harassed for doing so. I am furious!
I go to Ocala and they are better. My doctors there in Ocala are kind and helpful. Also, in the villages they are very considerate and professional.

My first time ever going to physical therapy, I arrived a few minutes early but they sent me back for therapy about 15 minutes late. The therapist came in the room, not introducing herself or greeting me and said because I was late she couldn't spend full time with me. she was aggravated in her manner of speaking. the therapy was quick and impersonal. I have cancelled all my future appointments there.

Dr. DePaz and Dr. Harris are excellent pain treatment combo. He listens and she sticks the needles. I have never had trouble with staff, mainly because I utilize the tech check in and payment system. As far as I can tell those that complain have never been treated at the VA, or they would know how lucky they are.

Started out as five stars because they got me a same day appointment...then they called to see if i could come in right away. Bonus!
Been here well over an hour now and still haven't seen anyone. Almost time for that appointment now... so what was the point in calling me to come in early?

This place sucks and does not care about you as a patient. I went in for my annual and telling the Dr. about other symptoms I was having. Why is the annual showing up normal? I dont think so. I will get a second opinion. Then the Dr. wanted me to do an ultrasound for fibroids. I go to my appt today and sit there for over an hour with a full bladder and finally was told that the Dr was running behind because of an emergency. I wish someone would have called and told me that instead of me sitting there with a full bladder and risking a bladder infection. I probably will not reschedule and go somewhere else. The Dr. also recommended a manmogram as to what she "thinks" may be a cyst. Why would I keep trusting your diagnosis when you claim my annual is normal and Im still having other symptoms? This place is in the business of taking your money, insurance, everything. Go to a better provider and spend the money if necessary for clear and accurate results. Stay away from here.

Primary Care is excellent at this facility but the Women s Health Services here are atrocious! They over bill your insurance, will provide misdiagnosis and then LIE as if they didn t tell you the WRONG diagnosis, they don t listen to your concerns, call their patients inappropriate names, lack bedside professionalism, don t answer the phone and are just HORRIBLE overall. I will be looking for a new OBGYN outside of this clinic. Avoid this place like the plague!

I go here for the Novavax trial, and it's a good experience. The people here are friendly, especially the phlebotomist Michelle who's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. The building is nice and they seem to have a lot of different things going on at once here.

Just left my third voice message with the Arthritis Center requesting a call back to make an appointment. I have called at random times many times over the past week and all I get is the recording to leave a message! Update: At 4:30pm, received a call from a very pleasant staff member and an appointment was made.

Getting anyone in the office to return your phone ...

Getting anyone in the office to return your phone call is a headache. Their website states they will process your prescription refill in 72 hours or less, Its been 5 days... still no word even though I have called two times. The hold times in order to talk to someone are usually long, but i know if i select the option to be called back, it wont happen. Like most reviews, the doctors are good, but the unnecessary hoops you must jump through to get the care you need cause frustration.

Update: I spoke to sherry who was extremely nice and sympathetic. She needs to be a trainer in that office.

I had a terrible experience with Rheumatology and ...

I had a terrible experience with Rheumatology and Dr. Patel. When I tried to report this issue, the lady that handles complaints for the department only defended her actions. Seemed that she was more concerned with defending her coworker than she was with doing her job. I bet she didnt even record the complaint.

Regardless, I originally had an awesome Rheumatologist (Dr. Desa) but she no longer works with them so they threw me with Dr. Patel without asking. They also never told me my doctor wasn't coming back. I had a Virtual visit with Patel and she didnt seem to listen to my concerns about pain. I have severe fibromyalgia and she doesn't t seem to understand what it is or maybe she is like other doctors and she just doesn't take it seriously. Either way, her response to my concerns was to deny my refill request for my muscle relaxer. She didnt refill it until weeks later after I messaged her on the portal. I told her about my pain and ask for stronger pain management and instead the lady gives me the darn refill (finally) and adds ANOTHER muscle relaxer to be taken 3 times per day. She never mentions she wasnt willing to prescribe anything stronger even though I ask if I should contact primary care for emergency pain management. Then I message her 2 days later telling her it didnt work and I directly asked about Tramadol and received NO response. At this time I could have called my primary and gotten an appointment for care. She didnt care enough about her patient's pain to even respond to me. I called the office a day later after no response to my THIRD message and reception tells me there's a note on the file to tell the patient that she cant help me further and to contact primary or pain management. IT'S FRIDAY. It's too late for any relief for the weekend and now I wont be able to keep up with my babies on Halloween. I'll be in bed... again.

Doctor's take an oath to do no harm but I guess that's up to individual interpretation. I've been struggling since 2018. I have zero record of drug abuse or strong pain medication in my rx history. Now when im truly to my breaking point with pain and I beg for help, no one will help me. I have to wait SIX days for an appointment with primary because of the weekend.

SIMED, you should have kept the first Doctor. If Dr. Patel were a good doctor, she would have made sure to tell me to see my primary care physician, knowing she wouldn't help me further.

Chronic pain patients (especially fibro patients) need to start holding these doctors accountable. Maybe then they will actually do their job and help us. Thank God for the good doctors out there. I know that my experience is not the norm... at least I hope it isnt.

Dr. Balbis is the best and that's about it. I need...

Dr. Balbis is the best and that's about it. I needed to refill my Heart Burn meds and Dr. Balbis needed to see me so he could renew for this year. So with Covid 19 I was not wanting to go in to any doctors office especially for heart burn meds. I contacted Teresa and was blatantly told if I didn't come in my meds would not be refilled. She started to get so rude I started looking for another doctor. What she could have told me is that I could have had a tele-help visit. I started to look for another doctor but liked Dr. Balbis so I called my insurance company to find out he did the tele-help visits. I have had nothing but problems with her and if it doesn't change I will be forced in to looking for another doctor.

Not only you cannot get ANYONE ON THE PHONE EVER!!
After more than a week trying to get on the phone with someone for an appointment....The doctor send an urgent referral and told me to call them if I have not heard anything by tuesday.... today is wednesday....and nothing. I call and call and going to their voice mail.

I've never seen anything like this!!!!!!! Deeply dissatisfied with simed health.

I called the scheduling office a few weeks ago to schedule an appointment. I had to leave a voicemail and they got back with me the next day. All of that was fine. I needed to cancel my appointment because of a family emergency and I literally tried calling 5 times, left a voicemail each time and could not get anyone. After I did not show up for my appointment, I tried to call the scheduling office to reschedule. Once again, had to leave several voicemails. It frustrates me because I know that there are some amazing doctors in that office. My in-laws have been seeing a doctor there for years and they love him very much. But the scheduling department is either way too short staffed or they just do not care to return people's phone calls. I ended up having to call and make an appointment with another PCP in my area, and they answered my phone call on the first try AND were super nice. Overall my experience with SIMED has been bad for the simple fact that they have not helped me out in any way. Thankfully, I just needed a routine visit and it wasn't something more urgent.

Both I and my wife Had an 11 and 11:30 am appointment with our primary care Dr. After arriving early, 10:15, and being forced to use the new mini computer terminals and fill out repetitive information paper work we were told at 10:55 that our Dr was running an hour behind. Why were we not told 45 minutes earlier about the delay. Totally dislike those mini computers.

Very upsetting experience with Rachel at the chiefland office. First she sent my referral to the wrong place. A referral for a stat head ct. Then when she sent it to the right place she didnt send authorization. When she finally sent the authorization it was for the wrong place. Everytime I called it was "oops" or "oh well". After talking to my insurance and finding out this could be handled with a 5 minute phone call I was treated with pure disrespect from rachel. Her rudeness and ineptitude have cost me a week of having a report on my health. When I just told her an appt was being held for me at 4:15 today and could she have it done by then she said "probably not." It was 10 am!!! Blue cross blue shield has her name and drs info and are looking into her ineptitude into this case. Needless to say if it wasn't for dr. Lefkowitz and his excellent medical treatment I'd be leaving your office.

I am now done with Simed and the Chiefland office....

I am now done with Simed and the Chiefland office. Had previous problem with front office staff getting a reasonable appt. as a current patient. Doctor spoke with me and assured that anyone there would have been able to see me. Stayed with them. Then went for blood work prior to my appointment. Came in receptionist never looked at me no good morning/afternoon nothing but without looking up asked if I had appointment. Advised her that I was there for bloodwork and extended my appointment card, never looked at me or looked at card. Came in for appointment on Monday 12/09 for 7:45 AM appointment, receptionist said she called that morning to tell me Doctor was in car accident day before and would not be in until 9:30 AM. As I had not received the message on my cellphone asked what number was called, had correct number read back from screen, two hours later finally got message. Dr. had to rent a car that morning and running late, if that had been me the patient, I would probably be charged a non-show fee. Asked to have Doctor call me and curtly informed that he would not call me but she would make an appointment for me (already had appointment for that day 6 months prior). Excuse me but I thought it was the doctors decision as to call or not , not the receptionists. Extremely rude and correlates to other reviews as to rude front office personnel. I restated that she could and should pass on message to allow doctor to decide. She looked back at the nurse and another just standing around and the nurse said she would pass on the message. Proper initial response should have been to the effect of I will take the message but can not guarantee he will call.

As to the doctor, I complained of chest pains previously but not investigated further. My wife took me to ER in Nov 2018 with chest pains and release from hospital after testing did not confirm a problem. Asked doctor why they did not do a heart cath and he stated that they probably did not because it is very expensive. Anyone connected to health care I have spoken with could not believe the response that it was too expensive. Well, so are funerals. Went to Cardiologist who reviewed tests and ordered a heart cath and found 90% blockage and inserted three stents in what they call the widowmaker . So much for too expensive!! As a side note, I have seen two other doctors associated with Simed who DID return a call when asked.
I am through with the rude behavior of staff and thinking they are the doctors and dictate to patients. I will be having my records transferred.

Regards

Jim M

Our primary care doctor was assigned to this location through insurance so i contacted them to make an appointment three times, no one answered, so i left a message with my name and number and what I m calling about! After a week NO ONE contacted us!! So they don t understand the basics of care giving! We changed our PCP to somewhere we cab at least rely on!

The care is fine, so far. But the directions to the office were completely wrong as sent to me by their email! They know there is a problem and have know for YEARS but they just don't care(Lady Lake , Fl office). But I find it unacceptable that they knowingly send first time patients to a vacant lot on rte 441. Either they are totally inept or they completely don't care. Either way its up to you to decide if this is the way you want to be treated.===================================================
New entry 2/3/2021: I just received an email reminding me of a pending appt(I switched insurance companies so I'm not going) and guess what? the eronerous directions are still there!!! I mean you can't make this stuff up (as Imus used to say). They could care less if you get there......

Dr. Paulian and receptionist are breath of fresh air. Very polite and professional. My well being is in good hands. The billing department on the other hand, could use much refresher training. It could get frustrating getting them to correct their billing errors.

Poor customer service, staff morale is disturbingly low, staff talk about how bad the company is and the poor treatment. Needless to say I go back because I have to in order to get my treatment. Management needs to watch how they talk to patients and staff, we are not children and should not be talked to as such. The rheumatologist doesn t listen to what you need, seems like patients are pushed through like cattle herding to get finished. I didn t choose this disease, it chose me, I am quite discouraged with the professionalism and willingness this company shows to take care of its patients and staff. Two more weeks past my due date for my infusion I have to wait because they didn t listen to me when I told them I had new insurance. Patients do not come first.

I have an appointment later this afternoon but I am seeing a lot of comments about the receptionist s staff phone manner. I can say that they individuals I spoke to during three separate calls were caring and professional. I will post an updated review after my appointment.

Awful service- the doctor I love moved to SIMED so I followed her there. Getting registered as a new patient was a huge hassle as the office staff had trouble keeping track of my information and there have also been several times my voicemails have gone unanswered. Most recently, I tried to schedule an appointment for the doctor I've been seeing for months and the next one was 6 weeks out. I do not recommend this office!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I called to get out of pocket rates because my insurance doesn't cover pain management. I was completely brushed off by everyone. As soon as they heard MediShare they assumed it was some form of Medicaid and told me that they didn't accept out of pocket patients and that their services were too expensive for me. (Just to say, this is not the first time I have paid out of pocket for pain management and trigger point injections) THEN, I got a call back from Rebecca telling me that if I was with ANY Medicaid program that they wouldn't see me and AGAIN went into how expensive their treatments were and how I would not be allowed to leave the building until ALL services were paid for. Needless to say, I am going with a much nicer and more customer friendly pain management group out in Jonesville called Advanced Pain Medical. I will be paying for their services out of pocket, like I was planning to do with Simed until they made it perfectly clear that they don't want to take my money. If I do ever want to be treated like a criminal for having the wrong insurance, I'll come here - from the voicemail it seems like they'll have the police waiting to tackle me when I inevitably try to skip out on my bill.

PS. this would not be the first time that I paid out of pocket at simed. I was a very good patient there for years but apparently no one wanted to check and see if I had received their services in the past.

I have been a patient of dr Linda Grover for over 20 yrs, I have always been able to call directly to her office and speak to a receptionist. Now I cannot get anyone to answer the phone.i was there was for an appointment on Wednesday there was only one receptionist there doing everything. I also tried to get an appointment with imaging for a mri, no one would answer the phone. After waiting a week still no one called, I finally called my dr office back. After many attempts to contact someone the receptionist said it would be 3 weeks before they even would upload to my file for an appointment. This is not the sidmed building I was a patient of. Thank goodness they have excellent drs. We can only hope that it can go back to the patient friendly building we love.

I have requested to see a Dr there and instead of trying to find one for me, they just said the Dr isn't taking any new patients. I have extreme pain from fractured spine and vertabra fusion so I need a Dr that can get me on the right track. I was referred to a Dr and no help from simed I finding one that would accept new patients. Just said no. Wasted my time and theirs. Rather had them ignore me and not call back after they left a message to call them. Ugh so frustrating. This is 4th Dr I couldn't get an appointment with.

Dr Lefkowitz practice is the worst I have ever been involved with. The staff is incredibly rude and the Dr. is usually unavailable to see patients. He s only in the office twice a week.
When i called this morning with a high fever and flu like symptoms, I was told Tuesday was the earliest appointment. No one else in the peactice could see me. Everyone knows that you have to treat the flu early not four days later, especially people over 65 who are high risk.
I wouldn t recommend this practice to anyone!

I gave up on Simed, too many problems.I had my physical scheduled then cancelled multiple times. I was rescheduled at least a half dozen times. This person would do it, then she or he would do it. Then suddenly they are out of the office.Yada yada yada.it s too bad because I really liked my primary care doctor. Once they retired it became nothing but trouble.

I am very quickly leaving this money mill. The doctors for the most part are good but all simed wants is your money. Many a good doctor has been ruined by there uncaring office staff. I like another post am waiting for a call back that I am sure will never come. so I will make a twenty-five mile round trip to see if I can resolve my problem.

I would give a zero if you had that. I had a virtual appointment with Dr Gabriela DeMori and it was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had. I was a new patient as well as my wife. We spoke to his office the day before to be sure our records had been sent over to his office. They confirmed that they had and we ended up scheduling a virtual appointment instead of going in. They asked if we would rather do it via video and we accepted. He joined the video with an already agitated attitude, didn t smile or welcome us. He simply said what do we need to discuss. I mentioned that he should have our records and he said nope . He said I don t have any information on you which is why I don t like to do these virtually with new patients . I mentioned that his office confirmed that they received the records as well as offered to do it virtually. He said nope, I have nothing . I mentioned that I filled out the online questionnaire they sent via email so they should have that. He said well it s not much . He immediately made the whole experience feel as if I had done something wrong.

I said well if you don t have enough questions then that is on your end and you can set the questions you need as that isn t on me. The entire time he was putting his lack of preparation for our appointment on me. His staff had the records, at least they confirmed the day before and I did the questionnaire which was required before the meeting. Anything besides that is on him and his lack of preparation and professionalism. At one point he turned his camera around to show me the lack of info on his computer. Like that was going to help when I had completely filled out the answers but he may have wanted more. If you need additional questions, then put those questions on the document!!! I then asked for a new doctor as he was rude and I was uncomfortable with the way he was behaving. He then left to go get an assistant for what reason I have no idea. You would honk it was for my request for a new doctor but it was for him to try and showboat or throw his weight around.

Instead of being rude and unprofessional he should have apologized and he could have called an assistant to look for them. While they were searching he could have professionally gone over the questionnaire. I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. My parents were doctors and nurse and I have seen my share of doctors. This was by far the worst and gives a huge black eye to this organization. I will make sure that others are aware of his unprofessional behavior. He lost two new patients and he could care less. Shame on this organization for keeping someone of this nature. It really makes you look bad.

My family was enlisted with SIMED health care since 2014.
Our primary doctor name is David Lefkewtch MD (best doctor I ve ever had).
Recently I have had an appointment for my parents last Wednesday on dated Feb 4th at 8:45 am with nurse practitioner Michelle Green APRN. I hardly ever write a review but because of her extremely rude behavior made me write this matter.
My parents are senior citizens and immigrated from another country and do not speak English; therefore, explaining everything about physical condition is not possible without my help. Henceforth, I was trying to explain everything to her about their health condition but she was very rude and ignored what I had to say on be half of my parents health problem. She said I have to make another appointment if I want to elaborate their health problem.

Doctors' are good but you have to call over nine to ten times to get ANYONE to answer the phone. After you get an answer no one calls you back so, this time I left a message maybe someone will call but not holding my breath .

Absolutely horrible! I called 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and left messages to schedule an appt after my dr sent a referral. I finally had to go into the office to schedule it because no one would return my calls. I showed up early to my appt and they had me scheduled under the wrong name. 45 minutes after my appt time, I was still waiting so I left. The facility was dirty and the receptionist had an attitude when I asked how much longer it would be before I was seen. I will never go here again!

Haven't been in the clinic yet, though I've had a great experience with the receptionist so far. She was very nice and took my request to change my appointment back and forth to fit my schedule. Will update on my experience after my first visit tomorrow..

Update:

My wait time was not long at all, fairly average. I didn't have any issues with the staff up front.

I've seen Dr. Floegel and she was very nice and caring. I felt trusted enough to know my own body as she took my symptoms seriously. Sometimes doctors dismiss symptoms and she was not like that. I will definitely stay with her as my primary care.

The nurses were very sweet and nice to talk to because they are knowledgeable and down to earth. Sam was displaying kindness and concern as we spoke.

So far... The best doctors experience I've had in Gainesville.

The doctor typed on a computer the whole time and did not even examen me.

She did not explain anything at all including follow up care and whether there would even be any.

This place cares about one thing and one thing only. Separating you or your insurance from your or their money.

If you have other options like the university of florida system, or even north florida regional, use them. I've been involved with all three.

I am very upset. I made a few call to inquire about Simed health becoming my new PCP. I spend the time getting in touch with my insurance company to make the change. Today after many calls to them received a call telling me that they can't be my PCP because I owe past bills. I tell her that I have been on Medicaid for about 3 or more years and it is out of my control if they paid or not. She tells me some of the bills go back further than that. I waited to get my disability for about 9 years. Before I got it I had no income during that time and lived with family. I guess that is also being held against me. How does a person in my situation suppose to get medical care? I have done the best I can with my situation. I can not afford the quote she told me I would have to pay before they could see me. (More than $2000.00 I don't even get that much a month) I am so disgusted with this.

I went to their urgent care and was told they could not assist me. I went from their office to the emergency room due to the doctor's inability to treat me. I, however, was sent a bill because the doctor told me he could not assist me. Avoid this place. They will send you a bill despite being able to provide services. Very unethical. . .

So far I see all my specialist and my primary care at simed just easier for me I have a lot of things wrong with me I have to see like eight different specialist and it's easier that they're all in one place however I've been in the hospital many times in the past several months which caused me to miss several neurologist appointments I have intracranial hypertension which needs to be monitored with medication and also symptoms need to be monitored by a neurologist and Dr Ackerman in the neurology discharged me for missing one appointment even though I called and told them that I was admitted to the hospital when he did that it made it so I cannot see any of the neurologist at Simed which really makes me mad since I see all of my other doctors there besides that I have no complaints just the one doctor sucks

My Significant Other has a poor memory and is a quadriplegic unable to use his hands to write down instructions. After multiple calls and 4 business days (make it 6 if you include the weekend that he was unable to take the meds due to unclear directions) during which time he and I requested clarification of his medication prescriptions and BEGGED them to contact me so that I could WRITE DOWN the instructions, he made one last call and STILL has not gotten clear instructions. The Medical Assistant declined to call me, saying to my Significant Other, "you're the patient. I'll call you". POWER STRUGGLES have no place in healthcare. And now, after 5 days (plus 2 if you count the weekend) the answer that he received STILL has not addressed the question that we asked! One star because I can't give "0".

Careful using their wifi. You have to log into Facebook to use the wifi and Facebook then posts your check in. Friends and relatives contacted me with concern as the post apparently stated I had checked into a mental health facility. The post has a picture of Simed which does look like a small hospital. Dr Sveska seems great though.

Wait time sometimes can be longer than usual. It seems most of their patients are oldery people with medical issues and I think it is the right thing for providers to spend proper time to find out the issue rather than rushing people in and out.
My provide Dr. Ali is an excellent physician, he listens to you and makes sure you know the issue and ways of treating it before you leave. Multiple times he took a time to find me article and or educational material to help me understand what is going on with my situation.
I highly recommend this group.

I'm here to offset the 1 star reviews. I've used several doctors within SIMED (Dr. Grover and Dr. Balbis and Beverly Nelson (ARNP) and have never been unhappy. I've never had an issue having my phone call answered or making an appointment. I think it's common place these days to have to wait...a while to get in with any reputable professional. Plan accordingly.
