South oaks hospital Review

Very unhelpful, very rude staff. Made my mental health worse and held me back from getting better care. Do not recommend. Im doing much better now with proper help and care.

I was in here in 2010/11 at 16/17 in NE2 and NE2B. I forget which one was the boys unit but that's where I usually went. The people who work here are great. Theyre very caring and loving and nurturing. I was all sorts of messed up and these people kept me safe and happy and healthy. Talk about turn the other cheek. They really live that at South Oaks. If you have a kid that is having a crisis, I cannot recommend enough this hospital. I always remember people that worked here were in a good mood and smiling and friendly. This place should be the standard for psychiatric treatment. The people that work here are very loving and positive people and that's how you cure the illness!

Can never get anyone on the phone !! How is anyone supposed to ask for help and see if there s beds available if nobody answers the phone. Place is a joke

I was admitted here a few years ago and I was treated allowed visitor's and the AA, meetings were fun they came in we spoke and mingled we were allowed to do a lot the Ward was laid back staff was chill Jackie was nice so was rose games music good food staff was awesome.

This is the worst place anyone can go for substance abuse rehab. It has the worst admissions process as well as unacceptable behavior by the staff. They go through your belongings and fill out the belongings check list without the patient being in the room with them. I was told too bring my medication with me as they don't always stock it. After my discharge they told me they couldn't access my medication. I also noticed that they never listed it on my belongings form. The value of the medication was $3,000 for a 30 day supply. Save yourself or your child and choose another rehab. Not to mention the pile of finger and toenail trimmings in the corner of the bed frame.

Gabby the therapist is amazing and i give her a 5/5. She goes out of her way for you and it shows. Jefferson Cesar was albeit annoying, but caring. I hope to never come back here.

My son jojo razvi is admitted the staff has been nothing be great the doctor as well was very easy it s hard hearing the things we heard today but it s the reality they are a good hospital so far it s been 2 days he s been there 28 more to go

My nephew was at southoaks a few months ago and our family wants to let everyone know how thankful we are to Jefferson Caesar and other staff that guided us through and my nephew through that trying time.
