I had to revise my review because they corrected a previously not so great experience. South Bay Sailing has great and knowledgeable guides. Everyone is kind and professional. I would definitely sail with them again!
A truly amazing experience! We went on the holiday lights tour which was spectacular! The guy who worked with us was very funny and knowledgeable. I would definitely want to go back sometime.
I have wanted to learn to sail since I was a kid...now that I am a bit older I decided to give it a shot. I went down to Redondo Beach for my first lesson and really had a great time. The instructor was helpful, friendly and really knows his stuff. I asked a lot of questions, got to steer the boat and really had a great time...I definitely recommend South Bay Sailing to anyone who wants to get out there and enjoy that beautiful ocean we have here in Southern California...

We signed my daughter up when she was 12 and we really loved it. She learned so much and had a great time. The staff was wonderful, and she had a great experience with the lessons. So hard to find something kids like and want to stick with at that age for some kids, but we will definitely be signing our daughter back up for lessons with them. Thank you South Bay Sailing!
I completed ASA101 with Captain Mike, Allie, and Andy, all of which were very knowledgeable and friendly. Each had a unique teaching style and approach to sailing, which exposed me to different strategies and sailing conditions. What I valued the most is the dedication of the sailing and the management team in making sure I understand how to navigate the waters instead of just memorizing names for the test. Being on the water is critical for developing the intuition. Highly recommended.
We had such a great experience with South Bay Sailing. Captain Mike was personable and answered all of the questions from 3 very excited kids.
It was a beautiful sunset cruise for my husband's birthday and an even better deal with the Living Social voucher. We were able to sail in November with perfect weather conditions.

We had an amazing time. So peaceful and so beautiful. We will be bringing the group next time. Our guy was amazing. He sang beautifully while we kissed under the bridge. The weather was perfect and we certainly needed a moment for the two of us. Recommend highly. Bring your wine and a jacket if you are coming at night. We thought it was more beautiful at night. Thank you for the great time!
