The eggplant and goat cheese sandwich is a fat son of a gun. Weeping with velvety roasted eggplant; the gen-er-ous topping of goat cheese is blessed with that oven-brown toasting. Just a few ingredients fighting Goliath, fresh marjoram accent, the filling puts that baguette to WORK. Didn t touch the soup yet.

Delicious! They make their soup unsalted so that you can add your own. It's a small business so you are usually talking to one of the owners. I also really appreciate the variety of vegan and vegetarian soups. The soups change, but I've always seen more than one vegan option. I don't always eat vegan, largely because it's difficult, so it is really nice to have that option well-represented.

Delicious! This place is a neighborhood gem! Soups and sandwiches are just so good. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Great local spot, soups and sandwiches change based on the season, so it's worth eating at during any time of the year.

The soup is absolutely "on" point at Soup's On! The soups are amazing, hearty, great price, and a huge variety, including vegan (so good)! I am in love with the crab soup & from word of mouth, their french onion soup is awesome! This is my second time visiting in two weeks! The staff is super friendly, the environment super inviting & cozy. I live near DC, but from now on, I must stop pass Soup's On everytime I come to the city of Baltimore! Ask about the pint club...you won't regret it!

Pros:

Pros:
Lots of vegan and vegetarian options
Fast service
Good variety of soups and sandwiches

Cons:
Lackluster soup
Not a whole lot of seating
A little pricey

Came here for a late lunch on a Wednesday. I had a portobello sandwich and a red pepper soup. The portobello sandwich was fantastic; the bread was well toasted and buttered while the mushroom was large and meaty. The sauce that was on it with matched perfectly with the rest of the sandwich. The soup was not as good, it was too mushy and bland, there was not a lot of flavor going on with it.

Soup's On is the best! The homemade soups change regularly and there's something for everyone including vegan, vegetarian, meat and seafood options. Salt is served on the side so that you can adjust the salt to your liking which is brilliant. The sandwiches and salads are great too and everything is very reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly and personable and the vibe is artsy and laid back. This hidden gem is a must-visit for lunch if you're in the neighborhood.

Definitely a place to go. It s very cozy, with big variety of options, and most important - good healthy soups. Prices are very very good too. First was worried about the portions, but soups are very nutritious so it wasn t a problem. Sandwiches are good as well. Very nice place to hide from the city and enjoy warm meal

Great soups and sandwiches, great prices. $10 for a wonderful combo, vegan and veggie friendly with something for carnivores as well. Sometimes they have dessert soups which are always new and delicious!

The ambience of this restaurant is perfect for enjoying a warm bowl of soup or eating a sandwich. The tables are painted beautifully and are each unique to a different theme. There is upstairs seating in a sort of cozy little corner. I tried both the Maryland Crab soup and the sweet potato and maple syrup soups. Both were great and full of flavor. I wanted to try the sweet potato and maple because I was curious if it would satisfy as a meal time soup, and it definitely did! I thought it would be overly sweet, but it was just the right amount of sweet and savory.

My photos aren t the best, but I ll definitely go back and update my photos!

Tried to call-in an order here. Man on phone was extremely rude. Won't be trying again.
Phone was answered on first ring, but could hear them speaking in the background for several minutes before he actually answered.
Overheard him complaining about another customer. Then when he finally spoke to me, he was rude and in far too much of a hurry to actually listen.

This place is such a breath of fresh air. The guy in charge has always gone above and beyond anything I would expect on multiple occasions. Great soups and sandwiches, great specials. You can tell they love what they do there. He even split up some of the soup ingredients for one soup and told me what to do when I got home. One of the best places in Baltimore for a delicious soup and sandwich. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a Panera Bread style soup and salad place, this may not the place for you. You won't find your basic broccoli cheddar soup here, but what you will find is an absolute gem of a soup place. The owner was phenomenal. So attentive and provided lots of recommendations. The soups and sandwiches were all so unique and fresh. I had a Korean chicken soup and pork strawberry sandwhich, and both were delicious. There were many vegan and vegetarian options available. I loved the whole atmosphere of this place. It doesn't look like much, but I highly recommend this place for lunch!

One of my favorite spots in Baltimore. Be wary of the bad reviews which say the soup is undersalted - the low sodium content is intentional, and new customers are informed of this. I've often found myself purchasing a soup expecting to salt it, and happily discovering that the flavors are strong enough to stand on their own.

So, I have been coming here for a couple of years now and I truly live this place. The food that's served here is like you would at home, fresh ingredients and they they are packed in whatever you get. This place is healthy and wholesome and the best part is the quality is the same every time. The food always tastes awesome and there is a variety of flavors so everyone can make a choice that represents what they like.

The Maryland Crab Soup is truly one of my favorites and it reminds me of home.

You need to decide on a place to eat? This place will not let you down. Small business where the owner serves you, damn this place is awesome!

Came because it was 4.6 stars and was a bit disappointed. The tomato soup (which should be flavor-full and a solid staple at any "gourmet" soup shop needed handfuls of sea salt to not taste so terribly bland. The sandwich was different but pretty decent. Just definitely not an almost 5star food experience.

Soups and sandwiches are reliably delicious even though the menu is always in flux. I have reached the conclusion that the owner has a genuine passion for experimenting with ingredients from dishes around the globe. Yet, american classics, such as gumbo are delivered with authenticity and taste.

The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is always friendly. But I will not be coming back here. I was just in for lunch, and a man came in not wearing a mask. I get that he lived in the building, and the staff can't control that. But they let him not only walk up to the counter, but also back into the food prep area. The manager's only reply when I voices my concerns was, "Oh I'll let him know." Absolutely unacceptable disregard for safety. I won't eat somewhere that I don't feel safe, and I will be letting everyone I know not to eat here either.

This is a local lunch favorite I discovered (by way of referral) several years ago. Over time, the food has been consistently great and the place has always been clean. The soups are are very creative and constantly changing (they're published on the website). They have vegetarian as well as heartier soups with meat. They also server sandwiches which go great with the soup. The owner is usually there and serving customers giving that personal touch. You may want to order in advance during peak lunch hours because the line can be relatively long. Parking is meter paid on the street and relatively easy to find.

LOVE Soup's On, it's a staple. The Pork Banh Mi and Roasted Pork Sandwich with strawberries and goat cheese are my favorites. The soups are obviously really good as well, they're always under-salted but they give you salt in the bag so you can salt it to your taste.

As obsessed as I am with soup and the soup from this bistro specifically, this was my first birthday visit! I love this restaurant, the identical twin brothers who co-own it are 2 of my best friends whether they've pieced it together or not, and it's quite literally the friendliest place in Mount Vernon! If you don't believe that last line, you can ask my fave bartender from Iron Rooster Canton, Antonio, and he will back it up since he tends bar at the friendliest restaurant on the Canton Waterfront side of the Harbor! Amen!
