Ryan with soundwave Dj and photo was absolutely amazing! As soon as we reached out to him, he was very quick to respond and answered any questions we may have had. Payments were very simple and not a hassle. The website they use allows you to pick songs you want played and not, as well as having a full schedule of your actual wedding day and music needs in order by event; Ryan even called the week of the wedding to review everything and make sure it was exactly what we wanted! We had the best experience with Soundwave DJ and Photo! Both the DJ and photographer called me the week of our wedding to confirm the details for the big day, which left me with the greatest confidence for capturing everything we wanted for the day of. DJ George had the dance floor packed all night long. And photographer Nilson took absolutely amazing pictures. My brother and sister-in-law had a great experience with Soundwave too! Wouldn't have gone with anyone else!
We had George as our DJ for our wedding and he was absolutely fantastic! He was very attentive and always touching base with is throughout the night to make sure we did things in a timely manner while still allowing for a nice party flow, he was friendly and helpful and even took the time to search out a specific polish song I was trying to play for my Uncle. And Stephanie was our Photorapher. She was also amazing! She was very attentive to what we wanted as far as pictures and even adjusted our picture location due to unforeseen events at our destination. She made sure she got lots of great shots without making us feel as though she was in the way and also was great at not interrupting the party flow of the evening! I think I can speak for my husband as well as myself when I say we would highly reccomend them both!

When searching for our photographer and DJ I was having a hard time finding what I was looking for. I spoke with Marie Conta multiple times before deciding to move forward with Soundwave. Her fun and inviting personality is exactly what we needed to not be camera shy. We decided to do a bundle package and use soundwave as both our DJ and Photographer vendor. The process was simple and they were there to help along the way if needed. Based on our conversations and music taste Marie thought DJ Mak would be perfect for us. Let me tell you Marie and DJ Mak did an outstanding job. I can be super picky and hard to please and they listened to everything we had to say and went above and beyond. DJ Mak used our suggested play list and kept our 200+ wedding Guests dancing all night long even after the venue was trying to shut down. Marie was so patient with us even when we were tired of taking pictures haha! She was quite literally in the middle of all of the excitement all day and night and captured such wonderful natural looking pictures. I was not feeling well before the reception and she was thoughtful enough to have tea and medicine sent up to my room to help me feel better. DJ Mak used an awesome saxophone playlist with popular music during dinner and it could not have been more us and fit the room more perfectly.. I d describe it as elegant but fun! One of my concerns was that the music wasn t going to be loud enough in our large venue, DJ Mak brought some of his personal speakers to add to the room as a surprise to me and make sure I was a happy Bride. The two together made such a great pair. Our family and friends loved them so much they were voicing their praise to them all night and even gave out plenty of hugs to each of them before they left. We haven t heard a single complaint from our guests, they haven t stopped talking about them and my husband and I were blown away. Highly suggest DJ Mak and Marie Conta for your wedding needs, I promise you won t be disappointed!
After countless hours spent planning a perfect wedding, two of the most important parts were DJ and photographer.
When anybody remembers a wedding, they remember how they felt and how much fun they had. Mike (DJ MAK) was PERFECT for this role. He worked side by side with us to to make sure the night was everything we visioned. Mike was incredibly professional and skillfully able to read the vibe of the room to ensure everyone had a good time. Not only did Mike keep the party going, he even came to the floor at times and joined in the fun. Everybody loved the event and the biggest compliment we received was how much fun everyone had dancing the night away.
Another important aspect of any wedding is the photographer. We are so happy that we choose Nilson for this job. We met Nilson the day of the wedding and he quickly fit right in. He was very easy going and even froze outside with us so we could get our perfect outdoor pictures before it started to rain. His pictures were fantastic. Both Nilson and Mike worked well together and helped to create an amazing night that we will remember forever.
My photography experience with Marie was fantastic. She recently took family pictures and put everyone at ease with her professionalism, expertise, and candor. She helped everyone relax in front of the camera and be ourselves, and the results showed in the wonderful photographs she took of us. I will definitely use her again for any future photographs I may need.

Matt was amazing. We didn't have a lot of time to make an appointment to meet at all. We hired them through their website and communicated mainly through email. When it came to the week before the wedding and needed to meet he made time for us outside of his usual schedule to accommodate us. The company has a great customer portal that allows you to make payments. Choose songs, which even have a clip for you to hear so you know what you're choosing. Matt had trouble with the microphone for the ceremony and quickly solved the problem before we even knew about it. He also gave direction to everyone making a speech to be comfortable with the microphone. He worked the guests great and played a great mix of songs. Photo booth was very unique and had unique and customized print outs for both us and the guests. Our only regret is not having a videographer to see the things we might have missed or wanted to remember more.

Awesome time. Our DJ, George, was incredibly attentive and on top of things. He played requested songs immediately. Everyone was on the dance floor and had an amazing time.
We had the most fantastic time at our wedding, mostly because everyone was on the dance floor the entire time! We had DJ Mike, and he was super nice and easy going. He played exactly what we wanted during cocktail hour and the dinner, and then completely switched it up to get everyone on the dance floor afterwards. They are super organized and you can be as specific as you want. The only thing that was stressful was that about 2 weeks before the wedding when everything was due we tried to get ahold of Soundwave with a few songs that we had sent them and we didnt hear back for about a week. That being said, the days leading up to our wedding and the day of was 100% stress free! Before each reception event (garter toss, cake cutting, etc) Mike found us to let us know it was about to happen. It was great to have him touch base, especially because at one point we needed him to wait another song or 2 before the event. He was time conscious according to our schedule, but also understood we were going with the flow and it was okay to step outside the box. He played such a great mix of old wedding favorites and newer dance music that everyone spent the night dancing away. I promise you, a DJ will make or break your wedding and Soundwave definitely makes it!!! 5+ stars for sure! I will absolutely recommend them, especially DJ Mike, to everyone!

Marie and George were absolutely incredible. Marie was with us from the moment we got to the hair salon until the end of the night. She was patient, kind, and took amazing pictures. She had a great time with our wedding party and had so many suggestions for pictures. She took any suggestions the bridal party, or the parents had as well. She was responsive from the moment that we booked her for the wedding until the end of the wedding when we walked out the door. George was an amazing DJ. He was in contact with us the entire week before the wedding. After we created our play lists he made sure he had all the songs and he never let the party stop. The dance floor was full from the second the music went on until the end of the night. He was so professional and made sure that everyone was having a great time. We originally looked at Soundwave because of their variety of services they offer. Right from the start, Matt and Marie were professional and friendly to work with. Planning a wedding is already stressful. A pandemic happening during the middle of planning makes it incredibly harder. If it wasn't for Marie, our wedding on 7/25 would not have happened. Although it was not the wedding we had visioned, it was a wedding we will always remember and cherish. Marie was not only our photographer, but she helped us plan out everything, including helping us find a venue when our original venue could not help us. She kept checking in with us to not only stay informed of the plans, but to make sure she was supporting us in any way possible. It is obvious that Soundwave invests in their clients and deeply cares about them.

Full Review Heard about this photographer from family members. We did not live locally and had to communicate from over 1,000 miles away over phone and email.
DJ was great. He reached out to us before we ever thought about reaching out to him. Asked us to fill out a form ahead of time for specific music. We also reached out to him after that, and he managed to play all of the songs we requested in addition to what was needed to keep our dance floor occupied all night until the end of the reception. We even requested an extra hour of service due to the amount of guests dancing.
As for the photographer, we were disappointed. In the beginning (engagement photos), we were mostly satisfied with everything. However, when the week of the wedding came, we discovered the photographer was pregnant. Normally, this would not be an issue. However, she had at least 1 other photographer on staff, and we were not immediately aware of the fact our wedding date would coincide with her pregnancy. She was quite far along by the time our wedding date came around. As a relative factor, our makeup artist was also pregnant, but all of our requests were fulfilled in lieu of the artists' personal life. There were several photos we were unable to obtain, mostly due to the photographer pregnancy. There were photos in the local town park the photographer was not motivated to get in the proper position to take. Additionally, at our reception, it seemed as if the photographer was more interested in socializing than taking some key photos we desired. Not to say we did not enjoy some of the additional photos taken, however, there were key photos we expressed a desire for which we did not receive.
Additionally, my wife had to "fight" for dance floor lighting, as there was an additional fee not originally included in the package her parents were paying for. It was quite ridiculous how we had to negotiate for that feature considering the cost of services and considering the fact that other vendors include this in their normal packages.
SOundwave DJ and Photo was amazing. We used their DJ, Photography, and Photo Booth services and could not have been any happier!! They made our wedding day incredibly special and memorable. I would recommend them to ANYONE getting married

I hired Marie to be my photographer for my wedding. After spending over $2500 on my photo package & waiting 8 mos for my pictures, Marie handed me 9 enlargements & told me to go to Walmart to print the other 75 pix in my package. I've never heard of a photographer sending a client a link for their pix and be told to print them yourself. Matt as a DJ is very good, but Marie is not worth the cost.

We chose SoundWave for our wedding photography, Sam was our photographer. Our experience was great - from planning and getting a package and price that worked in our budget with Marie to having Sam capture our special day. We hadn t met Sam before the wedding and when she arrived at the hotel it was so easy getting along and feeling comfortable around her. Throughout the night she aspired us to be so comfortable around her and she was in for all of our crazy ideas! I would HIGHLY recommend this company if you are looking for a photo booth for your wedding! I dealt with Marie who was very personable and informative with me leading up to my wedding. She explained all of their photo booth options and was available whenever I needed her. Plus - my entire family LOVED her at the wedding! We purchased the Social Booth which was a huge hit with all of our guests, and Marie was there to help if people had trouble. The Social Booth itself was compact enough to fit into our limited space and had so many personalized options!

AWESOME! Ourselves and our guests absolutely loved the Selfie Booth! Not only were our guest able to take pictures that they kept, but we also received on the spot (in an album) copies of the all the pictures that were taken in the booth. They are the only place that I know of in the Buffalo area that has the Selfie Booth, which is a huge mirror that takes pictures and allows you to sign the picture afterwards! Very very cool stuff!
Our videographer was great as well! The sign of a really good videographer is barely noticing that they are there. And she was very inconspicuous, so I know she got some great footage! They edit it for you so that it's a little highlight trailer of your special day, and you don't have to be stuck with a long 4-5 hour video that you may or may not ever watch all the way through. The editing really makes the video look like you're watching a movie trailer! It truly is amazing and convenient! Since it's like a video link (think YouTube video) it allows you to share it via email or social media. Which is perfect for us because there were family members that we were not able to invite, and some guest that were not able to make it. This way they get to experience everything that they missed by not actually being at the wedding.
The owners are a lovely couple. They really made the whole process very easy and comfortable by just being so warm and kind. I love giving my business to kind people! It feels so much better than grudgingly paying for a service.

Soundwave was awesome to work with! We were so impressed with their online planning system. It made everything easy and assured us that everything would be organized on our big day. DJ Ryan did an AWESOME job and we got so many compliments about the music! Our dance floor was packed all night long. He called us the week before to go over everything and was very professional, polite, and organized. Everyone also raved about how fun the photo booth was! You won't be disappointed with Soundwave!
We've had Marie do our engagement, wedding, and most recently maternity photos and will be doing newborn pics as well. She is amazing! I do not like having my picture taken to begin with but she makes us feel so comfortable and the quality is just beyond words. Its like being photographed by a good friend. We have and will continue to go to her for all of our photos and have encouraged others to do the same.

Sound Wave came recommend to us from our wedding planner, I visited the business and was very impressed with the owner and the selection of photo booths that I ve never seen before. Every guest loved the mirror and the attendant on site was excellent. We also received a book of the pictures, which was a nice gift. I would only use Sound Wave in the future. Marie and Nilson were our photographers and Stephanie was our videographer for our wedding and all three were absolutely amazing! Even with our venue being very inhospitable they remained extremely professional and did not let it effect their performance with us. They Were discreet when needed but also blended in with the party... We have had countless compliments from our guests on how much they loved our photographers. We will definitely be using them for any future photography/ videography needs and recommending them to all of our friends! We were going to use Sound Wave for our Daughters wedding but the world wide pandemic hit and we were forced to change it to a later date. They did not have any DJ s available for our date later in the season, which is understood. So we were forced into looking for a new DJ. When I asked about our deposit i was told I would get a credit, REALLY? Towards a photo booth but we would have to come up with an additional $160. So unprofessional! So an additional deposit for a new DJ. People you need to know!
My husband and I really enjoyed working with Matt and Marie. Marie was so easy to connect with during planning and she made our photobooth templates exactly how I wanted them to match with our other decor. The social booth was a HIT with our guests and was full the entire night. Matt kept us organized despite not having a rehearsal due to covid. He played all the jams to keep us dancing all night. They were both super helpful and friendly!
We had DJ Matt at our wedding at the Tonawanda Castle this past Saturday. Matt worked with us to pick our music, get to know us a bit better and kept the dance floor full throughout the night. My wife and I got married on 10/3/15. We had done some research, looked at reviews, and asked around. We found Soundwave DJ and thank god we did! Vince our DJ was INCREDIBLE!!! He talked with us prior to our reception and went over EVERYTHING in great detail. When reception time came he was spot on from the beginning of the night till the very end. He played the songs we requested but also played to the crowd as well. We received numerous compliments about the DJ and everyone simply loved Vince. Our dance floor was packed all night because of him. Vince, we cannot thank you enough! Having shopped multiple DJs, it was an easy choice to select Soundwave to get our party started right. Matt was our DJ and did a perfect job. Our family and friends were a little hesitant to hit the dance floor and Matt immediately changed up the play list. Shortly after, the crowd was rocking for the remainder of the night. Matt was extremely approachable to all of our guests playing requested songs, giving shout outs, and making announcements as needed. The lighting paired with the music was phenomenal. My one job for the wedding was to get the DJ and lighting and my wife couldn't have been happier.
Everyone commented how awesome Matt had everything setup, his entire playlist, and all together, his communication with me along the way was perfect.
We had Ryan as our DJ for our wedding reception in October 2019. Ryan was very thorough and easy to work with. He listened and was open to our ideas and made it all happen. Planning the music and timeline were very easy, thanks to the awesome online portal. Ryan kept our schedule on time throughout the night, and helped things flow seamlessly. He was such a great personality and picked an amazing mix of music, that kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night! Our night wouldn't have been the same without him. We are so glad we booked with Soundwave, as it truly made our night so special, and one that people are still talking about!
These guys are great. Our wedding had a video booth, pinball, skeeball, movies, and video games so I thought Derek would have his work cut out for him to keep people on the dance floor. But that guy rocked it all night long - the floor was always packed and everyone had a great time! We even made a last-minute "name that tune" contest for our guests and Derek MC'ed the heck out of it. Soundwave, man, they never miss a beat (and if they use that slogan, I claim royalties).
Marie and Matt did an absolutely amazing job!! I first met Marie at the Adam's mark hotel job fair back in the fall of 2011. I entered into a drawing to win a photo book and I won it! My husband and I met with Marie when she came to our house. Because of her relaxed, easy going personality we booked with her that night. Working with her during the next 10 months was such a great experience. She was so wonderful at returning my calls and answering questions. When I spoke with Matt 2 days before the wedding about the music we had picked and to go over the schedule for the day I knew he was going to be fantastic! When Marie arrived the day of the wedding she never missed capturing a moment. She was so fun and it was so great to have her as part of my day. She felt like more of a friend then a photographer. Her personality was so fun loving and she was so into the day! Matt was a great DJ. He also was so fun loving and felt more like a friend then our DJ that we had just met. He was great with playing the music we requested along with taking requests from the guests. Matt kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. Not even 2 weeks after the wedding, Marie has already sent over the online album to look over and it was so great to relive each and every moment while looking at the pictures. Soundwave is a great company and I couldn't have picked better people to be a part of my day!!

Derek, our Soundwave DJ, did an amazing job! The dance floor was packed the entire night and he had the best personality for the job. We were very pleased with the treatment and service we received from Soundwave. They made everything easy to do from the payment to the online client form we filled out. Derek was very easy to get in touch with before the wedding to go over all our song choices and was able to meet us before hand to go over everything! We highly recommend Soundwave DJ and highly recommend Derek as your DJ. We are still being told how much fun our wedding was and we know the music was a huge part in that.
As a senior class advisor for a local high school I can honestly say Matt and Marie as well as the whole Soundwave team know how to keep people dancing and the photos are always great!! This year will be our THIRD PROM season together and already scheduled for next year!! I love them so much I am using them for my own wedding this year!!

DJ MAK is the perfect person to entertain your friends and family on your most important day. He was meticulous with all the details. He visited the ceremony and reception venue prior to the big day to plan and prepare for his setup. He went over timelines, wedding party pronunciations, prepared a backup computer and even a rain plan if needed. We had so many compliments with the live acoustic covers he played prior to the ceremony and then again during the dinner hour. The live music is a nice feature that adds something special and unique to the day. His playlist covers numerous genres that you ll want to extend his playing time. He s also great a reading crowds to keep the dance floor filled. DJ MAK takes pride in being personable and professional. Our wedding was perfect and DJ MAK was one of the reasons why!!!
