I am fairly new to Florida and not too familiar with the septic systems here. I have a 2 year old house but my wife and I have only occupied it for just over 12 months. I was having intermittent issues with the septic even after I snaked out the line to the tank. I determined that there was an effluent issue to the drain field. I called SOS on a Friday afternoon and they were able to come later in the day. Ryan was the service technician and he proceeded to explain the system had a filter, where it was , and how to clean it. He pumped the tank and cleaned the filter. He pointed out that the drain pipe was tilted due to settling of the drain field apparatus which was also impacting the level of liquid in the tank as well as possibly causing premature leakage before the drain field. I have contacted the installer since this is a new construction and am waiting their response. I am certainly very happy with SOS , their quick response and their knowledge of the system and willingness to share the information and also making sure I didn’t have a bad experience over the weekend…lol.
