Soho is a very good restaurant serving some of the best seafood you will find in Genoa. Service is prompt, competent and efficient and the ambiance is perfect. It is not a place for a cheap dinner but given the quality on offer your meal is worth every euro. Highly recommended. The housewine was good too

Before reviewing this restaurant I would like to state that often, unfortunately, it happens that the positive reviews, as well as the excellent ones, are now to be taken with "the pliers", since more and more do not correspond to reality!
Restaurant located in an alley of the historic center of Genoa a few steps from the seafront of the port area. Pleasant location, although the evening is warm and particularly sultry. Outside tables too close to the street and it is fortunate that the cars do not pass through.
Menu that offers very interesting proposals and, above all, the right content (almost always synonymous with quality ...). Unfortunately the dishes are not good at all and the two starters, although different (a crispy octopus with caramelized onion and a warm seafood salad) tasted very similar. A first course from which I expected a lot (risotto with red prawns creamed with champagne) poorly executed and the rice too late in cooking with a taste that is anything but delicate.
As a second skewers of prawns on mashed potatoes with teriyaki sauce (which I asked separately): well presented dish but with a taste that did not convince me, leaving me unsatisfied. The potatoes, also present in one of the two starters, had a texture more reminiscent of mashed boiled potatoes. No dessert ... I preferred to end my dinner like this.
Service not up to the standard of the place, compared to other restaurants of the level, and, without appearing racist please, made up of only waiters of Asian ethnicity or so.

Excellent cuisine, 'cold' service to be in a Genoese carrugio, good wine list, but not to the ice basket ..., for an appetizer and a second one with a bottle, price 8-10 (20%) higher than due for the carrugio.

I made an aperitif in Soho, I have to say very nice the offer, we took two glasses and we shared a plate of raw fish, really nice and well presented, excellent quality. We will also come back to try the dinner. Dear all the boys of the staff, and really honest price, ten euros the glass with the raw dish, five the only glass. See you next time!

We tried this restaurant after finding it in the Michelin guide and it was definitely a great find.
The fish is very fresh and the ingredients are of high quality. Everything we tried was definitely level.
As for the price, it's certainly not like eating in an average restaurant or a trattoria ... It is absolutely motivated and fair in relation to the quality of the food.

The best restaurant for lunch break in the ancient port area. Excellent service, variety of menus, staff always available. Too bad it doesn't have a bigger outside space to eat, maybe in the little square, otherwise 5 stars sure!

Nice restaurant, however a pity that the main course is served at the same time as the entrance! The fresh duo fish should have been cooler, however the fish was. The room is noisy, I recommend the prawns!

Amazing food! I cannot give enough praise to this great restaurant. Husband and I and our two kids went here two nights in a row it was so good. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was fantastic and took great care or us and paid extra attention to our little ones. This place is a must if you are in Genoa.

Great environment but something is missing in the service the kindness is only apparent the staff seems to send constantly veiled "threats" to every request .. Even if only the mayonnaise to eat with fish!
