Disappointed at max. Last year came here and my 4 years old did enjoy the place. This year when he s 5 and even more taller they didn t allow us to ride. Never coming here again. Spoke with three managers and all of them refused. Hopefully owners will see how their team don t want to do sales.

Negative Energy-restaurant servers lack proper service skills. On asking my 30 year old daughter to fetch her id from the car parked someways on the street, they ignored our initial drink order even after repeatedly asking the status. We decided to leave. What childish behavior.

Update: horrible service this time I went.

Very nice trainers who actually wanted you to learn and were happy to help. Went there as a beginner and found the people helpful. Obviously the experience varies depending on who you get as a trainer. Went on a Sunday and the rush was fine. Slopes were good and had a variety of levels.

Really enjoyed the time over here. The staff is friendly and more helping in nature. You have to see the climate and make sure everything is open. It all depends on cliamate. They provide rentals for skiing and snowboards and provide different packages for learning for newbies.

Totally 5 star tubing park (with a small caveat). The place is excellent for what it's designed - a wonderful tubing experience. The place is clean and well maintained, there's enough staff, they are nice, and run a smooth operation - you don't feel like there's wasted time or bad logistics. They run it safely as well which was good to see. The price is reasonable. We just had a loooot of fun! There are 13 chutes, very high! It was awesome. Caveat: the kidz zone for smaller than 42" is cramped and quite low, so bear that in mind.
We were there Sunday at 930 am so it was early and the lineup to enter and to the lifts was short. As the place fills it starts to be slower. We did 4 runs in about 1 hour, which is quite fast all things considered. Bottom line: bear in mind the logistics, and definitely come, it's super super fun.

Great place for people who just started. staffs are very attentive and helpful. Only one thing is I met a douche who decide to blame me who was 20 meters away at that time for his wifes injury on her tow. What a shame.

We've tried most of the ski resorts within few hours of driving around Toronto, and we keep on coming here. It's not perfect, but it's closer to that goal than any other we've been to in Ontario. And it's reasonably close, too. Per se, this is not a decisive factor for us, but it's a convenient bonus.

Staff is extremely nice and patient and helpful, ready to address any concerns we ever have. even on a crazy busy family day long weekend, they have it all figured out. Good job Snow Valley !

I learned to ski here, and the lessons are very good for beginners. The resort is large enough for a day trip, but may be a bit lacking for multi-night stays. The terrain park is adequately fitted, and there is also a halfpipe. Food is expensive, but filling.

Wonderful place for amateur skiers, as well as tubers.

Late season passes (Feb.) can be quite cheap, so keep an eye out for that.

Also, a lift ticket is roughly $25 at ski shows, so that's a plus. ($40+ at other comparable resorts.)

Beware! The tubing lift is VERY unsupervised! My son went up and not knowingly stood to close to the ramp and was knocked off his feet by me in the tube! The staff that works there was a young kid, how was obviously not concerned with safety. When I asked him why he wasnt moving people out of the way , he said " I didnt see him" . His job is to ensure safety. The superior was not concerned. Beware! Luckily I rented my son a helmet. This could have been fatal!

Great fun! Went for snow tubing. Took a while to get tickets but it was worth waiting. If you are going there first time please ensure to dress properly including winter shoes and hand gloves. I would surely recommend this place to hangout with friends. Thank you team for your wonderful service.

What a fun time we had tubing at Snow Valley. There are several runs at various heights. Staff were amazing. So kind and patient with the kids. Cafeteria in the tubing section is decent but not nearly as nice as the ski lodge.

Came here for my first time skiing. It s a lovely place with amazing staff members who are always happy to help. The price isn t high and the location is great as it is closer than blue mountain. They have a variety of difficulties in terms of slopes. Their rental equipment is in good condition. In addition, they run a course to teach beginners how to ski or snowboard. Highly recommended! The place is booming with great positive vibes.

I have 2 small kids and want to go to the kids zone for tubing. Tickets all sold out for the tubing but plenty of capacity for kids zone. I have to wait in the line for general tubing but it's held up because they stopped selling tickets due to overcapacity in the adult section; they're only selling tickets based how many people are leaving. Kid zone empty! Talked to workers and they shrugged their shoulders and said "sorry, nothing I can do, go wait in the line. That's the only line".

The staff here are so friendly and beyond just nice. They really care about their customers. They never feel get bothered by any questions. They help us adjust our equipment even we didn't rent it from them.

Snow Valley is one of our favorite ski resort, good for the family and kids. Not far from Toronto, one hour+ drive, easy to come and go back on the same day. I Strongly recommend people to go here.

Every year we get a Family Night pass to go skiing at the Snow Valley Barrie. It's a perfect choice if you are local, we are blessed to have this ski resort so close to our home. Snow Valley has medium difficulty hills that are great for recreational skiing and snowboarding. We spend all day at the Snow Valley, and we eat at their cozy diner, too. Lots of best winter memories are made on those beautiful weekends at Snow Valley! Highly recommended.

I like this place because there is so many options so there is verities in hills steepness, so all levels can go. Also the kids hills are accessible easily from other his so you can leave your kids go to the slop and come back to them doesn t take a long time. They won t even feel your gone if they are 7 and above and they can ski a bit

Overall very nice place for snow activity,we visited couple of times specially for snow tubing. Few things which I didn t liked are :

1. There was a bit of wait time for tickets and staff was not upfront about the wait time , initially said the wait time is 20 mins however it took around one and half hour to get the tickets.
2. For kids zone you have buy 2 tickets one for the kid and one for the adult , not sure what s the logic behind that .

Once got tickets it was definitely fun .

Update: They don't have night skiing on Monday nights...making their already too expensive night season pass option even more overpriced! Terrible season pass options!! Kind of a scam how they don t offer a discount for kids night passes. We are a family of three with a 6 year old and had to pay full price for her night pass. They said I could get an almost anytime pass (ages 6-15) but that s more expensive than an adult night pass. I was then told that a lot of people just drop their kids off and leave! Who s going to drop a 6 year old off? We want to ski as a family...their family pass only works if you re a family of 4! They don t seem to care though...you have to pay one way or another.

Rating is not for skiing, which could be phenomenal for all I know.

Went tubing because this place advertises itself as having the "best" tubing experience in Ontario. I guess tubing in Ontario must be pretty bad.
It was actually overpriced and nothing special, and became boring after the first round.
However it could be suitable for tourists who expect less value for their money and are looking for a Canadian experience.

The cafeteria in the chalet had decent food and portion sizes, and the prices were not too unreasonable. Very few healthy or vegetarian options. You are allowed to bring your own food.

There are limited lockers available to rent (need a toonie) as well as snow pants (~15$), though I did not need them.

Not far away, an hour's drive from Toronto. As a beginner in skiing, I find the local staff friendly and enthusiastically instructed, especially taking the beginner course. The teaching process is simple and easy to learn, and I will go skiing next time.

This is a good place to bring your kids to learn to ski, but beware 95% of your time is spent waiting in a lift line or sitting on the lift as another kid either can't get on or can't get off the lift. This is a good beginner hill. Staff are friendly, prices exorbitant; first place I've been that charges for a glass of water (25 cents). Lift lines long and need to be a bit more organization. Nothing that can't be fixed with better management. Not a bad place for Southern Ontario.

I visited Blue mountain and horseshoe resort for tubing and they are good as well but if you are looking for bit of adventuresome tubing then snowvelly is the best place comparatively. It has excellent downward slope that gives you the best feeling of tubing with little fear and that is missing at other places. Also it has 12 lanes in total with good length. The elevator bring you up while you remain seated in the tube which I liked as that is also funsom. All in all if you are unskilled person like me who don't know skiing or snowboarding but really want to do some winter activity then try snowvelly tubing.

We visited Snow Valley Saturday March 1/14. We put our son in the Ski 'n Play from 10-12 in the Kidz Village, he is almost 3 1/2. I was so impressed with the young men and women working with the children. My son was apprehensive and they made him very comfortable and filled him with confidence. After his lesson he was skiing down the small hills. Our other sons also enjoyed the hills at the resort, they are 10 & 11.
Everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be skiing at Snow Valley again.

Outstanding place to learn to ski or enjoy a day as an experienced skier. Cubs and Cats program for youngsters is the best value money can buy. Staff are the friendliest I ve ever encountered and the prices are decent.

Went to go tubing with my children.. my son was just a hair over 42 inches and he was not allowed to tube. I get the height requirement for safety reasons but even being just over 42 inches he was not allowed.. I would have completely understood if I was talked to like a human being but instead the staff member was rude and ignorant to us for absolutely no reason.

This is probably one of the best snow tubing parks in Ontario! Everything is great except lines on a weekend. They don t sell tickets online for the weekend,so get ready to spent an hour or even more in a line to get one. They should consider also having a separate cashier for kids zone, cause not everybody goes tubing, and you would just have to stay in one line.

Took the adult kids tubing here in February 2019. They are from the Philippines and have never had an experience like that before. They absolutely loved it! They screamed all the way down, then got right back in line to get pulled in their tube back up to the top again. They went down the hill alone, and in groups of 2 and 3. I thought they would never tire out, but sure enough, they all slept soundly in the car on the way home. What a great way to have fun with the family!
