I drive for these guys. Lots of miles and they treat us well. Christian family run. Small, so you know who you're dealing with. The top people are very accessible and will listen to you when you need them to.

As an owner operator I have to say Smith is a great place to be leased to. They treat the driver's with respect and deliver exactly what they say. I've had trucks leased on with two other carriers and have never been happier than with Smith Trucking.
All I can say is they stand by their words from the office to the shop excellence at it's best.....

My husband drives for Smith Trucking! He couldn't be any happier with another company. Their are some really special people that work in the office and they do treat you like family. They actually care about their employees. I speak to everyone when I'm in town and they are all so welcoming. They are on top of the trucks and keeping up maintenance. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a good company!
I had the displeasure of observing one of your drivers behaving unbecoming while driving... it appeared that your driver was breaking hard and stopping short of causing an impact with another tractor trailer ... this lunacy went on for three separate events over a distance of at least 5 miles...
I found it hard to believe that anyone would use a vehicle of that size for play.

Has inward facing camera's watching their drivers. Would never work for a company that cant trust their drivers.
Smith Trucking is exactly what you'd want in a trucking company to drive for.
I've never used Smith trucking services, however, we are currently driving through Bozeman, Montana on I-90 and this is the second driver we've seen from their company displaying safe driving habits in heavy traffic. Kudos to the training provided to these drivers on the roads making it a safer place for all. Oh and 'In God we trust' on the side of the tractor trailer was the icing on the cake for us. Been here 10 years. The Smith family is the real deal. Plenty of work, the pay is righteous and the equipment is the best. I drive a new freightliner that I got this year, you would be hard pressed to find any options missing. You also have a choice of what lane you want to run. I run east every week and with the extra short hauls I take I can make bonus every month. They value your experience and you as a person. Nuff said.

Liked talking with recruiter whom was very informative of expectations of drivers. In God we Trust is awesome to have on side of equipment, like our men and women of law enforcement vehicles do. Wish I had chosen to work there instead of mega-carrier. Seems to me their ethics and everything else this company stands for, they will be around until autonomous take over ( joking). Keep doing what y'all do!
Very BAD drivers who throw things at people when driving in addition to driving aggressively on the highway and then the company denies it. A disabled American veteran had to wash his RV when a SMITH Trucking Inc driver intentionally threw a bottle of liquid off his RV in an unprovoked fit of road rage. Word is out there now. I wouldn't do business with them
Truck driver number 1714 is a very dangerous driver cutting off cars with no regard for safety.
A lot of companies out there preach to being family and driver centric and that goes out the window 2 mins after orientation. At Smith, they live it. I was a part of a "family driven" company for 8 years and was just what you'd expect, just another butt in a seat. Since coming to Smith, I've been treated with the utmost respect and profesisonalism from each and every section. From dispatch, to the shop, to HR, and all the way around the board they actually care that you're here and you're truly a part of the family.
